Hey guys! I've been away for about 6 months (since the NG dropped and I accidentally downloaded it). I'm getting all my LL mods updated, and was wondering what was the latest NG compatible version of DD. I know I should look through the thread myself, I currently have "Devious Devices 2.0_RC9_Beta2_HotFix.7z". Is this the current version? Thanks a ton!!

Your best bet is to down grade from that garbage. Nexus has tools to do it for you.

But yes RC9 is the latest version.

Has the problem with the inflatable plugs been solved in rc9? I had one that I couldn't get rid of, even with DD workbench.
in rc8 you had to swap two files. This is the first time I've seen this type of plug and there was a problem. Is it still necessary to swap these files?

 

I tried:
- DD remover: message "cannot be removed because it is equipped"
- DD workbench: no response, plug not removed
- Willpower via SA: message "Tried with all willpower, plug is too tight" (enough willpower was there)

 

Oh yes, and it can't be unlocked or deflate either, so you always get the message "you can't get to it" and the plug is blocked for a few hours.

You can't. Vibrations is added as spell to plug and spell is activated in plug equip process, so it will be locked. If you want it without locking you need write custom equip unequip script and add it to plug.

Hmmm..... There is fixed scripts for unequip, but maybe if you already wear it - it still use old script from RC8. It not should.  If not, you need wait while plug deflates itself and then remove.  It's random timed event. I;m not sure, but maybe you can unlock it and deflate manually. But maybe it's my fantasy.

I have the latest version of RC9 + hotfixes. Restrictive gloves don't seem to have flexibility, the fingers are stuck in a claw position, they don't bend:

They appear to be in this same hand position no matter what is being held, or even without anything in the hands. First time I've ever seen this issue.

I had the same problem, have a look at my posts in the latex collar thread. I think izzy gave me the final tip there.

It empties itself? Okay, I could live with that. Then I'll keep playing and wait.
I'm not even sure if I installed RC8 in the current installation. I thought it was the RC9.

It's not possible to empty it manually, I always get the message that I can't get it and that I should try later.

 

PS: so far I only get messages that the plug is being inflated, not deflated.

I have no clue about gloves you speaking as all works fine (leather and latex):

Please give more info: Fallout 4 version, DD version, CBBE or Fussion girl, all items what you wear at this point and full gloves name.

Here is a picture of the gloves, unfortunately I don't have one anymore, that shows the problem. However, it was the same as seen on @MysticDaedra

And here my problem was solved, I had probably used the wrong version of the FG conversion.
(Note: unfortunately the problem with the suits still exists for me)

Hmm, the only version of the DD RC9 Fusion Girl bodyslide I've ever been able to find was that one. You stated that you used two different fusion girl bodyslides? Where can I find the other one you used? could be this isn't a DD issue but is a Fusion Girl conversion issue, in which case I'll need to ask on that thread (need better FG support it seems, despite it being the body type of choice for adult FO4 modding).

 

EDIT: I need to test in-game, but I believe what happened is that the Fusion Girl zeroed-slider preset wasn't being properly applied to the DD RC9 FG conversion group. I manually added it (edited the preset group xml file), and then it showed up properly in Bodyslide. Fingers crossed!

I'm not test Fusion girl conversions as I work at this point on original CBBE version. In RC9 download post is in first line RC9 Fusion girl conversion, not sure how good it works. In theory it must work for new catsuits and enlarged items. As for hands in Fusion girl are new hands and bones, so after convert you need apply new bones and fix clipping to success work with finger animations.

I bought a key in GN and after many attempts I was able to empty the plug and then remove it. So it works as it should. Great.
What is still strange in my installation and I don't know the cause is that the plugs and other devices are multiplying in a miraculous way. While the plug was being installed, it has now increased eightfold. Strange.

Hey I was wondering if anyone else had a problem like this. I started a new game and whenever I got a DD equipped on me, I was able to take it off no problem, I could unlock or try and break free, but when I play the day after and load in the game and it works fine until I try an take off the Device and then the prompt that shows up freezes, like the game is still working but I can't click anything on the prompt to unlock or break free. It is just frozen on the prompt but still hear the music and everything works but I can't do anything because the prompt is frozen on my screen. Has anyone else have had this problem or know what I am doing wrong.

If I understand correct it is normal. Will explain, what i mean and how it works. In original DD 2.0 and i'm not touch it, it always spawn new item when scripts equip it. So if you have in inventory the same plug it will doubled. It was done seems for chance to collect and keep restraints. I plan (thank to remember about it) add MCM switch to keep in inventory 1 item, so when equip is triggered by script, will delete all other items. If player decide not to collect DD items.

If you use RC9, can you send here papyrus log?

If you have DD 2.0, maybe it's conflict with Fallsouls mod (in RC8 and RC9 is added compatibility with it)

I had DD 2.0 and also RC9 so I uninstalled DD 2.0 because I read that it was the new one. So now I just have RC9  but it still happened. I will find out how to get the papyrus log and send it over if that will help I'm all for it .

If you use Vortex i recommend uninstall and install RC9 (in this process keep mod load order not touch as in Fallout 4 saves is stored mod index and if it change it can damage save) fresh as just uninstall not fix mod. If you use MO2 i don't know how it work but still recommend reinstall.

I uninstalled it and tried it again with the papyrus log active to get the info and it still did it, and I am trying to find the log but having some trouble. Also I read a bit more in this thread, the save the I used to start a new game is from before the big update in April, I didn't update FO4 but had to delete and redownload it so now I am on the new update, but the save that I use for starting a new game is just one that is at the start of the game, could that be the problem that it is an old version of the game updating to the new one that could cause the problem. I do it this way because when I try and start a new game from the main menu it crashes my game, but was able to start a new one and trying out that character for now to see if it happens there too.

Rule of thumb, any mod that uses ba2 files are not compatible with the NG update.

So you can update or remove, if they're not updated, every mod and start downloading the stutter fixes that, depending on the mods installed will be several gigabytes of extra files.

Or roll the game back and play on. Nexus has tools to do it for you and manual instructions, which is super easy.

How do you update the files? or is it just downloading the mods again?

Yes, and I meant update the "mods" to the NG version.
