Do the AA priority changes also reflect in the 'device hiders' default settings? Otherwise things might not work as intended if that interferes with each other.

If there's still clipping with the boots and catsuit then please test a simpler bodyslide preset and also make sure the preset is specifically for UUNP. It's best to eliminate the possibility a non-UUNP preset doesn't work correctly when used with UUNP.

 

Alright, so as for the yoke, the hand issue is resolved completely, but the breasts look a bit like they are pressed into a wall or something.

As for the boots and catsuit, there is an improvement but the clipping isn't completely gone, though tbh I had to look for it in order to see it and am no longer sure that issue didn't exist in previous versions (at least on that tiny scale).

 

The clipping is so minor that I had to record myself walking to capture it

Is there still a visible seam at the wrist (CBBE) when using catsuit gloves (short) while wearing a catsuit? because it's been in DD for a long time by now, and in my opinion it looks weird.

While updating the SE version, I've noticed a couple of things

  • You removed the feet from the boxbinder outfit, but I don't see the same change made for the standalone boxbinder leggings. Is that intentional?
     
  • DD for Him esp has some odd characters in some of the descriptions and names. mostly in armor and things like the effects. This is before I tried doing anything to the esp. Looks like localization wasn't removed properly. Should be an easy enough fix for kimy, just need to be careful on what changes are merged, or copy it over the correct text from an old version of the esp.

The Elbowbinder oral strap-on animation in a F+F situation is something for Kimy to add in the script.

 

For 3 you may have another mod that's fighting against the DD Framework's animation override system. Or your game is just screwed up. I did a quick test with Janessa and locked her in a Armbinder, the proper pose played and there was no clipping when she moved around.

Honestly the exaggerated body preset you're using is the cause of your clipping issues and other weirdness, I can't help with that anymore. Outfit Studio is rather easy to learn if you're just trying to fix clipping with the Inflate brush.

There is and there will always be a seam.

The Boxbinder leggings aren't used as a separate device so I didn't bother messing with it.

 

Yeah DD for Him is a bit of mess and I had similar localization issues, I thought I fixed some of them but I guess not.

Well, I would think that is the case but I am not the sole person with that problem

Possible differences is UUNP vs CBBE or that you might not have chosen Feuertin's default bound animations? I admit I never tried any other animations.

 

I wouldn't think it is another mod since it is still a proper bound animation, only with slightly off arm placement

Small suggestion that I don't think has been added yet: Can a new keyword, something like 'ExposedBreasts', be added to the topless straitjackets, the breast yoke, and the rope body restraint? This would be used by lactation mods to see if a body restraint covers the character's breasts or not.

I keep forgetting this:

 

If you have manipulate locks enabled, and equip something like the paw mittens, keys just drop to the ground.

The paw mittens don't go directly to the 'you've manipulated the lock' dialog when trying to unlock, they seem to check if you can insert a key first, and if you fail, there's a chance a key will drop. I'm not sure if these always come from your inventory, i seem to recall getting keys when i had none to start with.

 

Anyway, if you have manipulate locks, shouldn't it skip trying to insert a key?

Just tested and made sure neither ZAZ nor "better NPC support for DD" are the cause by removing then and still getting the same clipping.

 

As a side result I noticed that armbinders now properly hide the glove part of body items that have glove parts (such as master mage robes with UUNP conversion). A welcome nice surprise :)

I've used the "Feuertin Alt" animations for as long as I can remember so it's not that. I can't seem to replicate the Armbinder clipping issues with NPCs but I can with the Rope Armbinder.

As you can see the Arm and Elbowbinders appear to have the proper pose for both the PC and NPC regardless of body type.

 

The Rope Armbinder is a different story. It seems to be using a different or incorrect pose for NPCs, the arms are squished together too much.

That's a result of the recent patch that overhauled Priority settings and checked off a few more Biped Slots on certain devices. I made sure Arm and Elbowbinders have slot "34-Forearms" checked so now they'll hide that part of outfits or armor.

This gets even weirded then, because if you look in the post I linked of the other guy who had rope problems, you will see the arms on his game are too far apart, rather than too close together as with your case. I am using Feuertin (non-alt) version, so it might be possible each animation pack has its own pose bugs.

 

Going to reinstall with the 3rd animation option and check that theory. If I lose the clipping, that would mean that 5.2 introduced a new pose bug for Feuertin non-alt.

 

Also just bumping the standing issue of catsuit clipping with gloves on UUNP (zeroed sliders), because all the other topics may have pushed it to the sideline and I think currently it is the main clipping issue that exists.

Following on that, tried all 4 animation options and got the same clipping on NPCs on the armbinders (unless during sex scenes, in which the arms always become fine). Also made sure it is not a lingering script or something and started a new game, summoned Lydia via console, armbinder on her and... clipping :(

 

Is there any way to simply make NPCs use the same animation as the player character? Any idea why do they use a different animation to begin with?

The 'top crotch' AA is missing slot 49 in the DDx esm.

Without it, I get the top half of the outfit, the crotch rope doesn't show.

 

Actually, here's a patch esp that I recreated in LE with the stuff that I've been patching in SE. Maybe doing it this way will let the changes merge better?

So my DD animations aren't working a on a new SE install, so I'd figured I'd take a look at the DD thread to see if anyone had used DAR to fix it, since I suspect I might have a DAR conflict mucking it up or maybe it's just SD+, in any case

This means SexLab, or any animation that can be used in a male/female context, count toward two of those limits.

This limit can easily be reached for male and female.

Once you go over the limit DAR animations no longer play.

 

It's like FNIS 'limitations' all over again.

I would not recommend using DAR because of this.

 

Someone has already made patch for DAR https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8506968-dynamic-animation-replacer/page-114#entry97949578 which increases the limit to 32K, I've used it for a while and my game isn't any more unstable than before. In addition if you move the animations to DAR, you'll probably be able to remove them from the main DD install and it won't count towards the FNIS limit, reducing the animation count on that end.

In addition, since you've set this up, I made a folder for female in the 898 folder which is the one taking yoke animations and started placing animations from \Devious Devices\meshes\actors\character\animations\DD3 there while wearing a yoke to try and figure out what is what

So while doing this I can at least wear a yoke and by placing all the pon2_ animations and removing the pon2_ I will get yoke animations and a pony walk, I haven't fiddled with the keyword conditions yet.

 

The problem I have is that while this is working out it's taking some time to set up, and the DD3 folder with all the pon*_ was at least self explanatory in so far as what animations I could expect.

 

My problem is then is there any sort of DOCUMENTATION as to what device combinations the animations in the DD and DD2 folder correspond to. Like the the set of 6 animations abc*_ and hbc*_. Like where's the yoke but no ponywalk animation at, straighjackets? petsuit?.  I could rename and relaunch the game another 12 times to find out, but going through the ponygirl animations took me long enough.

Hello, I'm coming in search of some help.
Ever since the last Skyrim update, I'vve run into quite a problem with DD: once a device is on, I can't unequip it. It will use the key, do the unique sound and the item will disappear briefly, only to be locked back in less than a second later. The text will then pop up almost immediately. I've already tried multiple time to install/reinstall the mods, UT with no success so far.

 

I'm sorry if this issue was already addressed in another post, I searched but wasn't able to find one corresponding to mine.

Ever since the last Skyrim update, I'vve run into quite a problem with DD: once a device is on, I can't unequip it. It will use the key, do the unique sound and the item will disappear briefly, only to be locked back in less than a second later. The text will then pop up almost immediately. bro. do you happen to use equip enchantment fix version 1.3.1?

nah. i was using it and that is what caused a similar issue where when i unequipped dd items they were just equipped back on though the version 1.3.3 seems to have fixed that. do you have naything that messes with enchatment?

you arent using the new AE version of skyrim or havent updated any mods or skse to AE version, did you?

I don't have anything that messes with enchantment.

Concerning the AE, no I didn't upgraded my game to this version, but I did updated all the mods while reinstalling them all, in particular DD/sexlab and SKSE, with SKSE being the AE one, the SE one won't allow me to lauch my game

i am pretty sure you cant use AE version of skse. and if SE version of skse doesnt work then you are either updated to AE version of skyrim or you are using mods that use AE version. for example ussep was updated to AE version and it no longer supports SE version. if you updated that then you need the old version. same goes for many of the mods. if you have netscript installed to see crashlogs, it would be easy to home in on the error. also current dd doesnt support AE, may it be the game or skse.

Thanks for you guidance ! I found out a mod that there is a mod to go back to SSE before the update, I'll try this out and hope to correct this bug.

yeah. remember to make sure that the downgrader downgrades your dll files too and not just the exe

I am attempting to make a private patch for some non-Devious piercings and want to add DD vibrating effect to them. From the initial analysis of the DD .esm files in xEdit I assume this is done by keywords. I have found the necessary keywords I want to use, but I noticed that some of the devices also use the following:

 

zad_EffectVibrateOnSpellCast

zad_EffectLively

zad_EffectVeryLively

zad_EffectsLinked

 

Can I ask for a brief explanation on what exactly those effects do? How are they different form zad_EffectVibrating<insert vibration strength>?

Not holding my breath but I think switching from 5.1 to 5.2 beta 2 may have fixed my intermittent freezing / CTD issues. I never did find what exactly was causing it but had chalked it up to too many animations or scripts in my game.

 

Either way, looking good! I was mostly looking at this thread to see if there was a fix for the short catsuit gloves without the catsuit, found that and more. Thank you!
