So, seems like i am victim of the weird vortex bug aswell. It seems to be pretty common by now and i'm thinking that it might be a windows 11 specific error. It might not even really be vortex alone, meaby it is fallout 4 running on win11.

Having TD installed and running, makes the game crash, disabling it doesn't. Take a look at the crash log, if you want but i doubt anybody can help me with this now. It has to be related to win11. A few months ago, i had fallout 4 running on win 10 with this mod installed using vortex. No issues. Now i have a new PC running win11 and it crashes on start up.

Just install it manually.

Its not a weird bug unless that doesn't work aswell.

Does anybody else have the problem that the Hydraulic Pillory is missing it's texture
Everything else works fine, except for the missing texture
I tried editing the fallout.ini falloutcustom.ini and the falloutprefs.ini with this :
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=


but that didn't seem to work
I also tried to install the mod manually, and that didn't work either
I also tried to manually install version 1.9 and then manually install version 2.21, but that didn't help either
Does anybody have a clue on how to fix this?

The Hydraulic Pillory is from the ZazOut4 mod, as pointed out by deathmorph on page 26, which I hadn't installed
After I installed the ZazOut mod the problem was solved ?

I tried that aswell, and guess what... same issue. Even when this is the only mod installing with MO2 it crashes. Just tested it and same result. This is just plain stupid and is driving me crazy ngl. Not sure what is happening, but i'm pretty damn sure it is related to win11...

You can use the console to player.additem it into your inventory or use a mod like ESP Explorer, but ever since 1.7 the "TD HoloBand" only contains functionality for installing and uninstalling the workshop menu entries (which can be done more easily from MCM anyway). What specifically were you hoping to do with it?

idk man, i just suck with commands and dev consols. If you could just give me the exact command for spawning one in i would be ecstatic

The exact command will depend on the plugin index number that this mod's plugin ended up with in your plugin list, so no, sorry, you'll need to read one of the many great guides out there on using the Fallout 4 console, like this one (that was the first web search result for me when I asked for "fallout 4 console").

 

But like I said, the TD HoloBand in current versions only controls removing and adding TD items to the workshop build tree. It does nothing that you can't do in MCM. Are you using a very old version of TD, or using it without MCM?

Like Vaultbait said.. you don't need the holotape. Buuuutt.... if you insist, copy & paste the following commands (1 at a time)

help "TD HoloBand" 4 note

look for refID ending with F9C

player.additem XXXXXF9C 1

XXXXX = what shows up in the search. Everyone will have a different code as it's dependent on load order.

For anyone having the windows 11 and vortex issue crashing your game because of the AnimTextData folder, I can confirm that switching to MO2 from vortex fixes the problem. This issue also happens with any mod trying to add that folder, which there are many of.

Do you know the underlying cause? Is there a Vortex bug report about it yet? Have you checked your antivirus notifications to make sure something in there is not being detected as potential malware?

Yes, we've all done all that. If you go back through the past couple pages of comments here you'll see multiple people with the same problem. It's been reported to the Vortex team by multiple people and they say they are looking into it. The best guess is that it's some kind of file system conflict between the home version of windows 11 and vortex. Vortex changes your game folders in order to manage them and some part of a recent windows 11 home update doesn't like that particular folder being changed by vortex for whatever reason. There is no user error or workaround. On here it also will cause the same problem with Alex's stripper pole mod, and on nexus it effects several gun mods that add the folder like the HK G6. Switching to MO2 or using windows 10 fixes the problem. If you come across people who are getting CTD at the main menu screen without explanation and they are running windows 11 plus vortex with a mod that adds the AnimTextData folder this bug is most likely the issue.

Thanks for the summary. A link to the report in the Vortex issue tracker would be great, but I'll see if I can hunt it down. I've been hesitant to upgrade to Windows 11 until these sorts of problems get ironed out, so having some way of knowing when it's fixed will help.

 

Edit: I probably just suck with web searches, but I'm not finding the upstream bug report to the Vortex devs about this anywhere, so if someone does have a link to it that would be great. Thanks again!

Great mod, it really fits the theme for one of my settlements.  I do have one issue though, it seems to work fine for NPC's but not player.  By that, I mean the player can "sit" in any of the devices, but there is no AAF.  Even standing next to any of them and activating the AAF menu to start a new scene, these objects don't show up as an option.  NPC's will use them successfully all the time.

I just installed this mod, but i cant get any npc to use it.

AAF next to it also doesn't work. how do i get this to work.

I have assigned a npc to it, but they dont use it.

You have to edit the mesh and "lock" the collision to the chair. (very simplistic explanation) Basically when returning to a settlement will cause the collision plane to fall over ie havok settle on cell load.

But to answer your question... not yet.
