Papyrus in the scripting language the engine is built on. You have to enable logging by: Open ..\Documents\My Games\Fallout 4\Fallout4Custom.ini Copy & paste this [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=1 bEnableProfiling=1 sDefaultLogOverlay=Papyrus  The next time you play the game it will generate a Papyrus0.log which is just a text file. NotePad++ is recommended. Which can be found in ..\Documents\My Games\Fallout 4\Logs\Script Papyrus0.log is always the latest log.

Why do I need notepad++ it seams usefull but why for papyrus. I also have 2 fallout4custom.ini files one is a BASE file the other is a BAKED file/ is this normal? they are exactly identical except the BAKED file has this line in it  [General] SLocalSavePath=Saves\  not sure but I thinks that's from a mod. fallout4.ini and fallout4prefs.ini also have duplicate files one BASE the other BAKED. they are all identical however when I look in notepad.Â
natybs Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 papyrus doesn't seam to be working however, there is no "Logs" folder in fallout 4 in my documents folder even after I added the line you said to to the fallout4custom.ini notepad file and I saved the file. played for several hours and not logs folder in my fallout 4 docs folder???  however I did kill Kellogg and the note was on his body and I read it and it started the next quest allice in wasteland I will try to do this quest tomorrow to see if it is working lol. also alices hideout has no floor and objects "fall" continually through the room. i was still able to talk to alice but doing prid and her id code 0d108f8e then moveto player did not work so thats weird. 1

Â but now i got the jack the belter quest and i cant find jack? i saw him a long time ago before i finnished the kellogg stuff in dimond city but he is not there now. is he supposed to be in dimond city? Be sure that files not put into fallout4 -> data->meshes->precombined->precombined it's not works. Just extract archive into fallout4->data->meshes. Other folder structure will be take from archive.

First time will be mphpm! Then in second time will be normal dialogue. Or you talk with wrong boss or broke the quest by teleporting Alice outside of hideout.

(I know.. noob mistake) To fix it run stopquest ef21c then leave and upon return they should be back to normal.  Oh, you might have to use console commands to advance the Bunker Hill quest because DCW kind of mucks it up.

The Bunker Hill triggers are tripped during the Alice quest and can't be reset. If I remember right, the synths never show up. IF, you do the Battle of Bunker Hill quest before the Alice quest, then all is good. The correct way to use that cell would have been to rename it and remove all the vanilla quest related stuff. Thus.. no conflicts.

I also think it triggers the un killable NPC's in that cell, which further mucks things up. stopquest ef21c will fix the cowering residents. setstage Inst302 100 (go talk to Shaun on top of CIT)  Finding Jack... as always.... go talk to John in the Dugout Inn for a clue. thanks for the info. a few npcs at bunker hill are still cowering however, like deb. might be because a brotherhood helicopter was nearby in a fight but even after it left the stayed in the cower position i did stopquest ef21c and waited around 10 minutes in real time.  i did manage to fix all the npcs by using console and doing disable/enable (with the stopquets command)  also is the setstage command the same if you do bunker hill the other way by informing on the institute to the railroad or brotherhood? i know it can be done both ways. sorry i played this game originally on xbox and it was a while ago i dont remember all the details.Â

The whole quest is basically just to get Bunker Hill as a settlement.   ok i was confused because when i did the unmodded playthrough i think i got kicke dout of the institute right after i got into it and did the first institute quest so there was no battle of bunker hill lol.  also just a random question but if my character is in a chastity belt with plugs is she supposed to have the plugs vibrate her and get the aroused animation or was that just a feature of the skyrim devious devices?

It's from mod Sexlab aroused for Skyrim. Also if you have a gag and got hanging up dialogue with it, then random animation stops play.
