Another stupid Commercialized, Monetized, Homogenized Holiday approaches where everyone (generally speaking) wants what they don't have, what they don't need to fill the hollow void inside while still not being sated with the never ending piles of dross served to them.

Insatiably spending what they do not have, will not make in the coming year, to play the game of the year...who spent the most.

Let's all put up the Idol, ( 🎄 ) worship it with zeal, lie to the children of a mythical being (  🎅🏻  ) who swoops down from the Great North to Judge you with the premise of gifts to the good, nothing for the bad, leaving feelings of inadequacy, jealousy behind for those spoiled little shits who just didn't get what they thought they deserved, expected, required, demanded of said mythical being, all while ruining the homes budget for the foreseeable future and contributing to the Global Waste issue with Ton's of Trash, Plastic, cheaply made crap that is broken in short order, and that does not say anything of the non-recyclable products being used and tossed aside when it is all said and done.

Who is laughing all the way to the bank? Corporations who only care of the Margin.

A friend and I were riding the lake in his Family Cruiser (33' twin engine yacht) I was helping him repair and test drive told me when people who have Money go on Vacation here it is never about the fun, the sights, the experience, it is about who spent the most money.

I spent $8,000.oo, well I spent $12,000.oo so I had a better time than you did.

He was fairly well off not usually telling tales for the sake of it.

I have this friend who got socks from her family and was very happy to get it. Moral of the story: People love making up excuses to throw a party and there needs to be some celebration to hold off the winter blues. So Merry Sockmas everyone!

As for spoiled little shits I fully agree but I must also point out that there are spoiled big shits as well. If you've heard the saying "loan of a million dollars" you know who I'm talking about. We have got to be fair about this. If kids aren't allowed to have an I-Phone then neither are adults.

Or I don't know. Maybe get your kids an I-phone for doing well in school despite their very undeveloped minds. Maybe take it out of your kid's allowance because what else are they going to spend it on? Of course I say this as a proud parent of a cactus. Do what you will.

So just between you and me I think Santa Claus is actually Bob Ross. Both are jolly bearded white dudes.

Happy Santa Claus GIF by Baylor University I get what you are saying but I phones should be age restricted like alcohol and that goes for old age too.

I got my first I phone just this year, never had the need for a cell phone before but my Doctor kept bitchin that if I had one she could/I could better manage my Health care.

And yeah I want to take my kids to sit on the lap of some pervy/homeless/alcoholic, there kids tell the imposter with the smelly breath/fake beard/lumpy pants what you want for the holiday. Disclaimer: I have no children.

Little shits come in all ages too.

I kinda have to disagree with I-phones being age restricted. There are very few downsides to owning an I-phone compared to alcohol. Alcohol has a weird affect on developing brains or so the commercials claim. I personally don't give a shit if people give their kids alcohol but many parents would.

I-Phones on the other hand have become a useful tool but also a distraction so parents should teach their kids about the proper time and place for such things. If parents think their kids aren't ready for that responsibility then maybe parental controls are necessary. Parents know about parental controls right?-I say to all the lawyers out there.

Of course this should apply for all devices that connect to the internet. Not just I-phones, smart phones or whatever people are going to call it. I should have clarified that earlier.

How does everyone here feel about the recent killing of a healthcare CEO in New York? Maybe this makes me a bad person, but I'm kind of disappointed that the guy got caught. Yes, he committed a murder, but he killed someone who was indirectly responsible for the death and suffering of thousands of other people, so he could turn a profit for his self and the company he was in charge of, it's kind of hard for me to feel bad about the demise of someone like that.

Haven't seen it personally, but have heard reports that there is a LOT of bad blood being aired.  People are using this opportunity to show just how ruthlessly evil these companies are, making life or death decisions based on ZERO medical knowledge - only "Well, we might have agreed to pay, but you didn't read the fine print (which invariable states that we didn't actually MEAN what's said in the regular sized print, so fuck you, go crawl in a hole and die)".  Oh, and I personally completely disagree with you about the "indirectness" of this man's responsibility for all those deaths.  HE was the leader of the company.  If HE didn't like the way things were going, HE was in the best position of anyone in the company to change the course that company took.  But no.  Profits over ALL else.

Does it mean he deserved to be murdered?  No.  Do I feel the least bit sorry for him?  Also no.  His surviving family?  I'm sure they lead grand lives with the position he had.  I'm also sure that if he was no dummy, they've been set up for LIFE with the kinds of payouts such an event would have invariably triggered.  They may not have HIM, but they're not going to starve, either.

Nice try, fed. Nah jk lol. I’m just gonna leave this quote that commonly gets morphed and misattributed to Mark Twain, since it’s basically how I feel about it.

Ya'll some cold hearted people, do you think for one minute this guy held all the strings that made the machine work for good or bad?!

He was just the propped up puppet for the world to see Johnny Handsome "Made It", sure 10 million bonus his hands were not exactly clean but seriously, he had a family, what will this do to his children long term? How is there Holiday going to be different, I don't really care if they have a silver spoon hanging from their mouths, they are fellow Human Beings who deserve our Sympathy in this time of their loss and heartache.

Do you think the Board of even richer asshats will loose money or sleep over the marionettes death, no, the machine never stops.

Supporting someone who takes the law into their own hands is fringe science, the guy had to be disturbed mentally.

I do not get the support this guy has garnered in the world to the point of filing false reports about rats in the kitchen of the McDonalds where he was reported by the staff there.   https://www.yahoo.com/news/rats-kitchen-google-removes-reviews-112450627.html

I do not support this person in his crime, he didn't even have the Balls to shoot him from the front like a true assassin, the little shit snuck up behind him and shot him in the back, just like Robert Ford shooting Jesse James in the back, an act which branded him a coward for the rest of his days.

Never speak ill of the dead. Just how I was raised...Origin: This proverb has been traced back to Chilon of Sparta (6th century BC). The Latin version was "De mortuis nil nisi bonum" ("Of the dead say nothing but good").

I'm pretty sure a true assassin would bring buddies. Also why would an assassin need to distinguish between the back and the front? Sounds like a pain in the ass to me. To put things into perspective people also called guns a cowards tool for a long time. By that logic there is just no good way to kill someone🙄

I don't know much about the motivations or really anything aside from the fact that there are many people simping over the killer (mostly because he's hot) because of course there is. I'd imagine many people will continue to be disappointed by the lack of change. I just have no feelings on this matter.

I don't know how you came to that conclusion; I'm just telling it like it is.  At most, I'm indifferent on the matter, myself.

Karma concerns samsara (rebirth) and moksha (release). The concept of revenge makes no sense in a philosophy whose basic premise is that all is one.

Maybe.  But I've done enough research into THIS system in THIS country to know that whatever the government wants, the government gets.  TLDR: It's ALL about people.  "Oh, you're cold hearted!"  Yeah, and?  Where did this guy think his millions came from?  Trees?  Thin air?  Both are technically correct, but the reality is that his millions came from a system that is designed from the bottom up to be exploitive.  He must have known that.  You don't get to that high a position without knowing that.

What of those people who payed into the system that was INTENTIONALLY written to make it difficult to understand. only to find when they needed it that, "Oh, well, fuck you because fine print (in other than every day language).'  Okay, sure, maybe he didn't have PERSONAL control over it.  It was STILL his responsibility as the leader of the organization.

They can, and will, use YOUR tax dollars against you.  They can, and will, use public opinion against you.  Even if you win legally, you will NOT win "the ride", as they will destroy you financially - and do so for their own PERSONAL benefit.

Oh, and just so you know, this was ONE guy.  People get murdered like that here on a daily basis (though mostly though inner city gang violence/turf wars).  The only reason you're hearing about THIS guy is because of the position he held in the company he held it in.
