Easier to say you’re making improvements in some country nobody has ever been to than to actually improve things.

I think that simply falls into the broad category of "Talk is cheap."

I hurt myself in the most cartoonishly millennial way possible today. I was finishing up my set at the squat rack at the gym I go to, and I use an app on my phone that tracks my workouts for me so that I don’t have to use a notepad and a pencil. I went to grab the rest of my stuff off the ground while logging my info, but I didn’t drop down low enough to clear the barbell and I banged my forehead against the bar so hard that it made the entire rack shake and I almost bit the tip of my tongue off. Now, I pride myself in having a pretty thick skull, but that shit left me kneeling for at least a good minute. I’m pretty sure the other people around me saw it happen too, because the guy in the rack next to mine looked at me like he just saw a cat get hit by a truck. I don’t think anyone laughed (not that it matters), but I was kinda surprised that everyone just minded their own business afterwards. Was sorta relieved that no one checked on me, to be honest, because I was pretty embarrassed after I did that.

Still finished my workout. 💪

That's going to be me tomorrow. With the holiday season, my job has been a fraggin' nightmare. :weary:

I've been trying to fix some issues with my Skyrim game. The vampire face has been a b---- and a half to resolve. 1st, I had to deal with the sunken cheek issue, which took almost 3 fraggin' days to fix. Now, the eyes don't change when I become a vampire.

All of that, coupled with the stress of the holiday season, has made me want to scream. If it weren't for my girlfriend, I would probably have put my fist through a wall.

I'm OK. Really.

I really need to get myself a new pair of headphones.

I like these, I have two sets so I can still play while the other is charging...plus Music sounds really good through them.

I got the wired version of those headphones myself.  Had them for about 4 1/2 years and still going strong, despite a little cosmetic wear and tear.  Best pair of headphones I ever had.

And if you hook em' up to a digital audio converter (DAC)/headphone amp, along with an equalizer, that's all the better.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was a fun movie, and I like that it established Godzilla and Mothra as being close allies, but why they got Big G and Baby Girl giving each other "fuck me" eyes in this scene?

I can't be the only one seeing this, right? I know what that look means, goddammit.

Has anyone else heard of a ship called the S.S. Suevic, a ship that was saved after being severed in half?

Suevic was a White Star Line ship that was launched in 1900 and was around 560 feet long. The story goes that Suevic was grounded on rocks off the coast of Cornwall, England in 1907. Luckily, no one was killed, and the ship was safely evacuated. Despite the best efforts to save the vessel, Suevic was stuck. However, instead of deeming the ship a loss, someone at White Star Line, the ship's owners, came up with a plan. Suevic's bow (front) was stuck, but the stern (rear) wasn't. So, they decided to salvage the stern by (are you ready for this?) using explosives to separate the bow from the stern.

Spoiler

Once that was done, the stern was taken to Southampton, England. WSL placed an order at Harland & Wolff to have a new bow made, and once they completed that, it was towed to Southampton, where it was attached to the stern. Suevic went on to have a long career, even being sold to a Norwegian company in 1928, which converted her into a whaling factory ship and renamed her Skytteren. She was sunk in 1942 while trying to escape a German vessel.

My favorite part of this whole story is how the British public made the joke that because Suevic's stern was in Southampton and her new bow was in Belfast, Ireland, this made her the longest ship in the world (316 miles or 508 kilometers).

I finally got around to getting Atomic Heart and was quite surprised by the opening dialog scene to the weapons upgrade kiosk.. it's uhh, something else. I'm not kidding, it makes me wonder if someone from here wrote the script for it. She has a sexy voice.. and tentacles.. and a BDSM kink, apparently.

On one hand Thanksgiving is relatively stress free but on the other hand it is just so booooring! Maybe if my family would just skip the turkey and play UNO I wouldn't be dreading this holiday so much. Also many events I've been interested in have been canceled because of this. Whatever. Guess I'll watch paint dry...
