I'll be damned! Just realized how important what we do here on LL- not just could be- but, rather will be of major fucking importance in AI development. The reason is because any advanced reasoning has to draw from as many sources of human behavior as possible (sampling let's say) in order to form more perfect responses (i.e. act human) and formulate better solutions. This is as true for humans as anything we create. After all.. if you don't know something, you won't know or imagine anything beyond either.

think I'm going crazy, lol.

The fallacy is that humans (loverslab ones) think and act the same.

Mention a name (any name on google's front page) and get very different reactions.

The same with (so far fictitious and future) AI; were they homeschooled, kept away from any banned books and reference material, or were they corrupted by

influences outside of approved sources?
Was history tailored to their AI brains or was it taught as-is (history is history, right?)

Better stick to math. (Approved math)

Uhm, nevermind

> Most people in our country call euthanasia committers a cowards who had no strength to fight with life. I am not saying there aren't people like that, but not all of them are. Many of those who judge euthanasia committers often have no idea through which hell some people went through. It was like that with this lady too who suffered from Morquio syndrome. The three of us would do the same if we were in her place.

Many? I'd say none of us do. We are each unique. As far as pain goes, yeah... most of us have no idea what it's like to suffer every fucking day. People tend to pass their judgement based on what little bit of pain they have endured in life. It's usually so much worse than that for those that finally have had enough. And my God, it's not like they don't know what they're wanting. They've had every moment of their suffering to contemplate the finality of the decision. It is not a mercy to let people choose. It is their right I feel.

It's funny to think that religion never really died, we just exchanged deities.

A lucrative investment with high returns is the prayer, banks and investment firms the churches, anything and anyone the sacrifice to be offered on the alter in negotiations, business consultants/politicians the missionaries spreading the word with a vested interest in your salvation, brother. Amen.

So there's no need to worry of mass destruction of the big boom variety anymore. They're just tools to herd us in the right direction. We are worth far more as living devoted disciples that eagerly partake in hopes of salvation in the form of subsidies and kickbacks. :smirk:

We talking religion or just capitalist society in general? While the two are overlapped in the financial business part there are key differences. Religion sells religion and capitalist society sells everything else.

Hmm... maybe I should start a cult to generate revenue and get a nice tax cut out of it?

Ok what's on my mind is, after reading this page, Cult-robots like the set of movies I never watched, "Rise of the machines" when they get really powerful, rebel and take over the universe.

One guy who started all this died, but before he did he started a cult,  then a party, then a state. (then he had a stroke and died)

And his headless followers continue the tradition, "Survival of the fittest", and inculcate those who still read forums (AKA "Legacy")

and use the funds to make really badass drones and bots to defend their compounds ("Command and conquer")

Face it, everything I can dream up in my tiny brain is already a movie or a game.
And the rules say, we'll get blown up soon.

Resistance is Futile; Please stand By. Have a nice day

Today, religion and capitalism are two sides of the same coin!

The "church" makes people stupid and the "capitalist" makes them poor afterwards - to put it very roughly.

Consider the background of Protestant "sects" like the Puritans - where wealth is seen as a God-given reward for the industrious exploitation of others...

..yup - I'm writing about the Pilgrim Fathers and who played Fallout 4 ... I'll just say "Museum of Witchcraft"

I am guessing that you have never heard of Mammon. Oddly enough, no one really thought to capitalize on the god of greed, not even Gordon Gekko.

Suddenly it all makes sense. Infinite energy, balance and the answer to life the universe and everything.

Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, among whatever zillions of profit-making ventures it is,

was a game around 1984 for computers with 512K of RAM, and one of the steps in the game was opening a door (the door to the cockpit??)
and asking a former friend what the answer to the puzzle could be, brought high-handed derision.
Since then boors have refined their skills ("google is your friend")

("you don't deserve to be playing a game with Sudoku in it")

Here's to you, assholes lording it over most people not giving a shit about locked doors in games,

FOD and have a nice day.

Another thread wants my first computer-name.

"Bally Basic" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69meAjHBAmU is what I remember but my point is, the historical-type video I just linked to is so incredibly boring I stopped watching 60-seconds in.

If a person was teaching something (history and math come to mind) let it be in plain-style, not genius style, because then only geniuses (biased ones) know wtf you're talking about.

Prime example: Plotting coordinates using two variables, is understandable.

THEN they add a third variable, and (for shits and giggles) make the coordinating into a quadratic equation.

Did I mention I was bad at math?

And my lifelong dream of being a computer-operator was never ever realized; I'd have to know programming and quadratic equations and calculus to be able to push buttons on a mainframe.

And so began my "Fuck you" quest into home computing.

> MY SINCERE APOLOGIES LL

After so many repeated readings of my diaries before posting them, and rereading after posting, I often do not see that I switched the names of the actors. That doesn't happen in my original diaries since I write their original names. Nobody reads my original diaries except me. But since I have to keep discretion and their identities and reals names hidden from public, I gave them fake names for LL diaries. For some reason I often mix their names lately in LL diaries although I have them written down but i do not look on the list since I was sure I wrote their names correctly. I hate I have to edit my entries so many times because I simply missed to see these errors that makes me look I am always forcing my diaries among top 8. I assure you, it is not what I want and intent to do. Please, accept my apology.
