Mr. Otaku Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 So just opened MO2 and oh boy what do you know, got a billion mod updates to go through. On top of that the LL mod updates that can't be shown in MO2. I'm starting to wonder if i'll ever get the time or patience to play Skyrim again cause this is getting ridiculous now, i can't even clearly remember what the map looks like anymore bruh i think i'm gonna have to retire from Bethesda games for good. 2

I still have a full weekend to spend on that task for Skyrim. It was 1 hour for my FO4 last weekend but that's easier since I had more experience during the setup of that.

steelpanther24 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Having a math PhD explain to me why n!/(n-3)!= n(n-1)(n-2)......... I have been out of school too long! Bottom line, I was embarrassed when I saw the solution. (to solve it is n(n-1)(n-2)(n-3)(n-4)........(n-infinity)/(n-3)(n-4)......(n-infinity) cancelling out everything except for n(n-1)(n-2). The equation is used when determining probability of three consecutive events happening in a row, like when a message is broken into three parts and transmitted via multiple paths and needs to arrive in the correct order, but you don't want the port to remain open too long, so by determining the probability of a successful message arriving, you can adjust the time that the port remains open, thus minimizing the target surface area of a network. .....at least theoretically). Also, you what is better than being a kid who lived through the 80s? Being a teenager who lived through the 80s.

I have heard it compares to the 50s, though didn't have the numbers (Gen Xers are a small generation) to push it over the top, but the internet made up for that so now my son loves 80s music (and 70s music), finding it all on his own. Oh, I was curious if the troubles in Bosnia and Serbia are causing any anxiety where you are. 31 minutes ago, caveman74 said: In 1980 I was 21, yay I could legally buy liquor I had been buying since I was 16 because I would bring fresh game to the old timer who owned the shop, and being tall with a beard helped make me look older to him, although I never lied to him and he never asked. I like the 80's music later on, Change is uncomfortable but necessary. The 80s was bad on my dad's business (farm tractor dealership), eventually it went out of business as the small farmers were forced out or bought out. I am ten years young, so going into the 80s, I had that level of naivety and unbridled enthusiasm normal for 11 yr olds. Reincarnation, hm, without knowledge of what we were, I suppose, but if I had to keep knowledge, then I don't think I would want to try to live as a young man in these times. It is too foreign to me. There is a great Twlight Zone that shows this, though a bit different as it is about a man wishing to go back to the home he remembered as a child, and he does. He tries to save himself from an injury but fails. Spoiler

Genetic, and cellular memory is bred in at conception (my own opinion) like I never had any mechanical training yet I could disassemble/reassemble starters and other automobile parts at 10 yrs, Dad ,if he can be called that, and Gramps were mechanics. I won't even imagine the year or century. Like I said "if I had one wish" but wishes are like the pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow, elusive. It's just I think I could have had some kind of a better experience, and had a better impact than I have. I would have liked to have left it (life) better than I will. Just stupid shit one thinks about with too much time on their hands as the clock winds down.

We're imperfect cells skyrocketing in an infinite expanse, of infinite growth. Well, infinite based in our perception. For all we know, we are the individual blood cell of a larger being that we cannot fathom. We're just doing our jobs to keep ourselves alive...but what if that instinct is the same instinct that drives our blood cells to preserve their own lives? When you really zoom out our bodies, don't act that differently than the universe...only diff, is the scale.

I figure there are smarter people thinking about it, so......I guess we will have to listen to them. Now @zelphador23 has an interesting theory/approach. 1 hour ago, zelphador23 said: We're all little explosions, derived from other explosions. Exploding from a Source, that no one knows. I don't know if I would want to know that either, preferring to live in a "sane" world as we describe it. Of course, I would like a lil dosh of. strange every now and again.

Yeah, the economic crisis will suck, we might lose electric power due to upper atmosphere explosions that will fry the transformers of the electric power grid where a LOT of ppl will die and that will suck... But... Humanity will not be wiped out.... Modern day life might disappear for some decades though... And most ppl on north hemisphere will probably be fucked... Yeah, but point is the world won't end yk... This is only north hemisphere megalomaniac thinking... Most people in the world living in rural areas wouldn't even notice that the 'world' has ended. They'd go on farming, hunting and fishing like they always do.

A couple of pretty smart people figured out that a couple of countries' absolutely pants-are-my-favorite-hat policies of depleting their base populations in an almost equal inverse proportion to their growth potential for over five generations was literally going to end their existence as effective countries a couple centuries down the line. And now, thirty years later, (fucking lol) those countries have finally figured that shit out too, and are actively panicking. And here we are. Passing the next 70 years without someone blowing someone else up permanently is gonna be interesting, of the chinese proverb variety. Edited February 3, 2023 by 27X
