Listening to this, I am thinking that it would be a good idea to go back to analogue storage media and photographs for archival purposes and for legally admissible evidence for courtrooms. The Joe Rogan in the AI audio sounds like he was reading out one of my own jokes from the past, come to think of it.

Theoretically yes, one could add new voices to Skyrim. The only barriers may be in terms of permissions to use certain voices.

This is a critical focus area for those of us in Digital Signal Processing.   The identification of "deep fakes" is extremely important, however it requires people to go back to accepting "experts".    Once the internet was usable to the general public, some of us thought that would raise the intelligence of the average person but.......well..........anyway, my point is that the speed at which some people are ruined because of a Twit post or something like that is both sad, stupid and predictable.  

 

Anyway, there are several areas that are working especially hard on automating the detection of deep fakes (yes yes, build a better mouse trap and you will have better mice eventually), but there will likely be a "verified trusted organization" that any post will need to obtain before posting, as this has serious impact on the financial market.  

I hate to say it, but when the rich can get taken advantage of (vice them taking advantage of the rest of us), they are pretty good at developing ways to counter any deep fakes that might impact their profit margins.

My PC is experiencing technical difficulties, in other words stuff I don't know how to fix. I am taking it to the shop, so you all will have to miss out on my illuminance for a while.    Thought cloud( he doesn't think much of himself, huh ) seriously, I will be out for the duration of repair, and in a small town area the time factor is an unknown.

@steelpanther24 don't go and think this is convenient, my SKSE add to data.7z is not transferring right, and notepad++ has infected most of my saved downloads overwriting their manila folders with it's own logo. This happened about 2 weeks ago, and Skyrim SE has not been working right ever since, Fallout 4 has started having a lurch in the video. IDK if I need more memory too, would not hurt, but something is amiss, IDK how to fix.

The best AV ever to exist is in front of your monitor right now reading this I might infer, no paid AV in the world can give you more security than this particular piece. I don't use AV for the last 7 years and no problems with virus... And I paid for a long time for kaspersky, it is awesome but if you use that and you trust that entirely you will lose some mods, trainers, and if you don't trust your AV entirely, if you risk it, what is the difference from not having an AV at all? Muh backups, if you were a diligent person who actually does backups then you can do it without AV anyway and we wouldn't be having this conversation right now do we? So... what's the point of having an AV?

Memory, yeah, just buy it, plug it and that's it. No need to ask a kid to do it for you when he will ask you 2 or 3 days to do something that takes minutes because he wants to take a look at your naughty stuff. This is the qualified professional that you are paying btw...

 

Well, my humble opinion. ofc If you don't know or are not comfortable with opening your PC, then you should pay a kid to download a torrent of nod 32, reinstall shitindows 10 and plug some memory stick on the mobo.

Not too much older than me, so you can't use that reason (being old).    After all, you likely know how to use a rotary phone, write in cursive and where to place the tin foil on the antennas to get better reception.    Also, likely know how to drive a stick shift. 

 

 

Anyway, if notepad++ was used to open any of those file times, then windows "tries" to help you by associating that file type with the software you used to open it, so I don't think that has anything to do with your other issues.     Opening any one of the 7z files with 7z will re associate those folders with 7z, or it might not as that is one of the nice features of windows....it does its own thing and F you for thinking otherwise (see @lucifeh comments).   

 

As for LL being slow, that is likely on LL's end as it is slow sometime.   It is only when the entire internet (for you) is slow that you may have an issue such as being used as a zombie farmer.   

 

As for the poor performance of Skyrim and Fallout, that isn't as clear from your description, but here is the warning on that:  Both of those games, you mod, so it is important that you see problems in other places of your computer.   For example, use a third game like Red Dead Redemption 2, or GTA V (or something like that, that is graphics heavy for your computer) and see if you are having issues there.     At that point, you will know if you have a deeper error.

 

Bottom line:  If you got the money, then the piece of mind by having a tech look at your computer is worth quite a bit.    However, I suspect they will sell you on at least one or two upgrades.
