Well - to get bacon...?

Sure, you'll get there in the end.

To quote Overkill: 'You took the long road, I chose the psychopath.'

I simply asked my boyfriend if he could get me some bacon.

Man, sitting here in the middle of the night reading about bacon and vampires is doing some strange shit to me. I should go to sleep.

Now that I think about it don't vampires drink blood? What are vampires doing with bacon?

some like both and do it all at once, drink the blood and eat the bacon at the same time.

Maybe drinking blood every single day gets boring, Either that or they're dipping bacon in blood for extra flavor.

As one who actually partakes in it on occasion, it can depend, I'd say.

(Nope, I'm not just being edgy for yes, I do, not so very commonly but the urge for it does sometimes happen, like that previous sudden urge for bacon or other even more... Standard consumables. It's something of a food, I mean, everything that can be digested even to some extent can be considered meal, there's just not that good of a view of this particular culinary peculiarity. And there are infections and other ills that can spring forth without the proper procedures for acquiring it, too, making it even less accessible.

It tastes... Fake? Tempered with? When from a blood bag, so I don't really enjoy those, probably because of the stuff they add in to keep it from rotting and stuff.)

The taste is largely ferous, because, well, blood, duh, but actually changes depending on the general condition of the person it's from, what being, like, a pig's doesn't taste the same as a human's, and a human's with diabete didn't taste the same as from that of one not afflicted with the condition. Plus there's how it's consumed to account for, like, making it a blood cake or part of a gravy and stuff changes the experience.

So I'd say it's a food, and as with all, one can grow bored of consuming the same thing yet again.

I actually very much like the taste of such blood. The added preservatives, or whatever they are, give it a sweet, less metallic, taste.

You guys have drank actual blood? Bruh even by hardcore standards that's on another level entirely. Wow, and here i thought i'm a deviant lmao. I hope you guys keep that on the minimum though, that shit can poison you if you go overboard but ya'll probably knew that already.

Haha, no worries, Master & I learned how to limit risks of ailments and stuff well - like, eating raw chicken is likely to give salmonella, similarly with raw blood. I prefer Blood cakes, which are cooked, rather than blood as-is. It's too metallic tasting for me to enjoy to the same extent.

Besides, It's not exactly that common an intake either, I mean, considering my favouring blood cakes - cooked - I'd just as well buy the stuff from an industrially controlled source hence I'd rather go for a pork-blood cake than bother myself through the process of making it a blood patty and all the other bothersome stuff that needs be done to make it safe...

Kind of like back with my earlier joke with an extra-long process for getting bacon, it's inefficient if the sole intent is just a blood cake since there's plenty of already safer options available that allow the consumer to skip the processing and production steps directly to enjoying it.

Whenever actual human blood is at play, here anyway, it's meant to be part of a romantic vampire play between Master & I, lengths through which neither Master nor I really want to bother for anymore, just pretending it's Ours works the same, We compensate with porky cakes for the sake of simplicity - and a healthy swing under the sheets - now.

It kind of tastes like cherry with a metallic aftertaste.

Bruh you guys are on some hardcore shit lol. The only times i've tasted blood is my own during fights but that's it, you are guys out here drinking actual blood and eating raw chicken like it's no big deal. This is some Tokyo Ghoul level shit, especially that bit about blood cakes lmao.

Blood does taste metallic though, not sure i like it but maybe i associate the taste of blood with pain in my mouth too much to even consider enjoying its taste.

It's a Cantonese delicacy. In Taiwan, it's known as ti hoeh koe. A street food, served on a stick.

And in LA, it depends on the source......at least  according to Jack.

Spoiler

Really? That's so wild lol, so they just walk up to blood banks and buy blood for their food stalls? I don't imagine they've got people in basements who they bleed everyday for that lol

Or maybe they do 0_o

Those cakes are made with pig blood. Would be quite expensive otherwise.

Ahh okay makes sense. But it's still such a culture shock, maybe if i visit Taiwan in the future i'll at least try to look for it and see what's up cause i'm curious now.

Uh, not really...? At least, not raw chicken what the heck haha~!

And as I've said, blood sipping is not really that common a thing Master & I do anymore, you can consider it a bid of curiosity that was pursued then reasonably appreciated and is partaken in reasonable bounds, in rather spaced intervals if at all, last I had human blood in any form was over a year and a half ago, give or take.

It's more economically healthy as well as health, well, healthy, Master & I used our own whenever we enjoyed that and blood-taking can leave one tired for minutes, hours to even days, it's not really a great trade-off when your body aches with boundless libido hahaha.

As for blood cakes, well, as explained by dear Alessya and implied by my previous mention of "patties," it can come in various formats, more widespread ones in the western parts of the world would be in patties, like ground steak but usually mostly just pork blood and fat and maybe some other stuff depending on where you buy the what.

Sticks are better I find since you don't sully utensils nor plates and just eat it from a possibly ecologically disposable item. Wood. I greatly recommend, it's cheaper than medical bloodpacks and tastes better too - watch the cholesterol if you get hooked haha~

You can actually find it rather commonly, depending on what part of towns you are, at least, that's been true in most places I've been. Just go see a few actual butchers - not slaughter houses, butchers - they might have it and if not you can ask and see if they know who amongst their competitors/brothers/sisters of cleavage might.

Just look it up a bit and make sure not to eat some disgusting slop, eh, it can still make you sick if uncooked or not properly processed and not everybody has a knack for making it, let alone the care to make it edible. Find a trustable source if you're interested, not just random crap spots even if it's the last place in the country.

You're the first one I encountered that spells my name with a "Y".

Eh, misspelt, typing on a few other fronts as well. But hey, doesn't it give your name a little added flair when pronounced~?
