What's on your mind?

I wondering why SouljaBoy doesn't try to sell his innovative consoles pre-loaded with games from Nutaku. He could even remix his hit song 'Crank That' for the advertisement campaign.

That's something I've been wondering about. Is that guy for real? Is he an example of ignorance and stupidity in action? Or is this just some really bad PR stunt?

Also, if Activision is continually losing money and stock value and being investigated for fraud, what does that mean for their bitch subsidiary, Blizzard? Will they be able to extricate themselves or will they be taken down as well? And don't tell me Blizzard is an equal to ATVI; the latter clearly calls the shots and has done so for over a decade.

If SouljaBoy's antics are a PR stunt, he is a professional stuntman on par with Evel Knievel or more accurately, Super Dave Osborn.

Maybe SouljaBoy should have learned how to Stunt from 50 Cent. That guy had two successful video games. Hey, they turned a profit, that's a valid measure of success in the modern games industry.

This recent spate of nonsense has caused me to think more about rappers from the Aughts than I have in...ever.

In Dead Space 3 there was a text on a wall next to a dead man written with blood; "Men are not punished for their sins, but by them".

How true that is. I knew i shouldn't have eaten what i did today, but i did, and now i'm paying for it. And i'm eating some more tomorrow ?

Ever notice when you visit porn sites the "first REAL adult video game" has always just been released and is now being advertised just for you? I've noticed for over 10 years now....

I also noticed that these games tend to just be hentai as well.

Also what is on my mind, hmmm.

Ever wonder where the woman you are looking for is, I mean I understand that we all won't have the perfect one. But I at least want one that is somewhat like me. I don't have what I would consider unreasonable standards, but somehow I can't seem to find the one for me. That is what is on my mind currently.

I'm there myself. Substitute "today" with "yesterday," though. ? Hopefully taking my bile meds will stop it.

Doesn't exist. There are only the ones that you find. And the one that defies your expectations, entirely, will probably end up being the one you stick with.

Because you have NO idea what you really need until you stumble upon it. Or it stumbles upon you.

Adjust your outlook, young man.

What a shame. I'm a capsaicin freak. I grow Trinidad Scorpion in my veggie garden for the express purpose of eating it. :)

(Who knows though , time is not on the side of any of us, one day my ass might malfunction)

Women have the same problem... it's universal.

And that thing with the pond and the frog and the prince is just a fairy tale :classic_tongue:

I used to be a Chili Head. Then my whole gastrointestinal tract did malfunction. I can barely tolerate Tabasco sauce now. ?

Adjust my outlook ?, I can't years of failed relationships mostly due to me being cheated on has made my views what they are. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and so far I have been burned every single time.

It used to snow in November where I live (Cincy area) while growing up in the 60's/70's. Now it seems to only happen in January and later. Way too much change in the short time I've been alive. Makes me wonder what's really up with the weather.

Meanwhile, we are having real winter with temperatures falling below -21oC (~ -6F). Nothing wakes you up in the morning like the air stabbing you in the face ?

Also, "Spare 15"? What kind of a callsign is that? I get the feeling i'm expendable...

Game achievements are on my mind. The concept has been rattling around in my head for many years now like a bucket full of rusty bolts.

I understand many young people have grown up with this concept while not realizing, or caring, that it was introduced as a cheap form of content included with most console titles because of the platforms limitations. Now I see them everywhere, like a plague, infesting every form of game media, even though now the platforms have increased in power enough so as not to NEED them. Old Habits I guess.

While I'm not personally affected, I find it sad to see so many players getting upset because some game issue is stopping them from getting 100% and they're on the verge of having a stroke. Seriously? Plus the inflated time needed to jump through every freakin hoop for what? Peer recognition? I guess..... I'll never get the joy from it others seem to since this is something I wasn't indoctrinated into.

Now for the fun part:

Since this form of self worth is so addicting, it would seem to me corporations should employ this at the business level, so people whom need some form of motivation beyond self pride (an old concept, I know) might be induced to: Show up - on time, regularly, induced to: Complete all tasks assigned to them, in a professional manner, etc.

I don't know, but am willing to entertain new ideas in an effort to bring job performance back up to the standards this country will need as the current state of employees seems at an all time lax. Didn't use a cell phone while on company time - bingo - an achievement. Wore a uniform properly - bingo - another achievement. Want a raise? Look, you got most of your achievements, so we can give you most of your raise.

I'll label this post as Satire, but it IS something to think about.

I didn't mind the things in games where the Achievements serve as an external means of tracking in-game content unlocks as they did in Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect but when they do nothing whatsoever and don't even recommend an amusing course of action which one would never have even considered since they wouldn't know it was possible, they are more of a minor curiosity if not an annoyance than anything.

Something came back to me, something that has been on my mind before...

So today I went into my brothers room to see what he was up to, he was going to play on his PS4. So as he booted it up I reminded myself of a social game on the PS3 called Playstation Home, so said to him "I really miss Playstation Home, there was so much I didn't get to do. Probably a similar alternative to it would be Second Life." After I said that we chatted a bit an I went on my way. Fast forward a few hours later I get back onto my computer and go onto Youtube to listen to music and do something while it plays in the background. But when I go to change the video I find an advertisement for Second Life in the top right corner in the ad space. Prior to this I haven't had any similar advertisements that would have lead to this.

As I've stated, this has been on my mind before and the reason for this is some time ago my father and I found a lost sling shot outside my house and we had a few ideas of how powerful it could be (I had never had a slingshot and it had 6 bands on it but one of them is loose) and after a few minutes we had our fun and put it away. The next morning I went to check my emails and I had an advertisement for slingshots and the like.

This might be a stretch and I might be overreacting but, I know you can get stuff like this for just browsing online but not offline in your own home.

When it comes to computing and data collection, I don't believe in coincidence, unless you can 100% verify you haven't been spied on. I don't have a camera (never have besides a phone to upload photos) and my microphone is on a headset hanging on the wall I only plug in when wanting voice support for online multiplayer.

Speaking of phones... we all know it's in constant communication with a transmission tower, even when 'off'. Just because the phone isn't in 'user' mode doesn't mean it can't also be transmitting data live, or storing data for upload when used. Phone battery usage and the need to recharge it so often when compared to other battery usage items, even when you rarely use the phone (in my case) can lead one to wonder.....

I do understand this, but what puzzles me is I do not have many devices with microphones (my PSVita, IPad 2, my phone and my headphones that have a detachable mic) which were all in my room, and that one instance yesterday only my brothers phone and laptop were in his room when I was there...

So if what you say is true, could this also apply for other devices not owned by you by detecting your voice and speech patterns.

P.S: As of typing this (this would be stretching it too far) my stomach rumbled and I almost immediately got an ad for Hungry Jacks, I think they're in my room haha.

While this could conceivably be true, I would look first to location identification software being used since you appear to be in the same location. If you were across town, and then went home only to find a previous conversation haunting you, then I'd worry a bit more.

Now where did I leave my tinfoil hat.......

Humorous note: I wonder if 'inventing' a phone sized Faraday cage for the extremely paranoid could make a nice profit? (whoops, just did a google search LMAO)

That's a strange one to think about. I don't have a camera (I use a top of the line 32 inch screen TV from 2012), but I do use my headset constantly which has a mic on it.

Then again if some hacker or corporate/federal spy was listening in on me all they would have is a lot of me cursing out games/script compilers, muttering inane ramblings to myself (inherited that lovely trait from my mum), and various grunts, so jokes on them....

An interesting thing about data collection. There's talk about it being used to implicate the guilty, so couldn't it also be subpoenaed for defense of the innocent? I'm sure once it IS used to prosecute, then a VS case could be referenced as it's likely that those whom collect would prefer the public not to know the extent of it.

My main issue with achievements is that I don't want to score one at 5:30 am. That way, people will know that I stay up gaming until 5:30 am.

Never mind the fact that my Steam profile is 100% private. MY SISTER MIGHT LOG ON TO MY COMPUTER AND FIND OUT ONCE I'M DEAD

But, what I said before about urethral sounds, dildos, etc. still applies. I'm a degenerate. I'll die as a degenerate. I worry about stupid things.
