the LL stuff really needs to be run through the alternate mod launcher iirc.  https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher/releases

 

aside form that theres the whole ritual you have to do every time you change a mod, even a single mod: delete config folder, verify game cache, pray to slaanesh. oh and boot the game up without mod launcher once to biuld a config file.

would i need to do that when going from vanilla to wotc? beat my first playthrough and want to start the expansion and mods are showing up in the launcher but not game

It's not a bad idea at all. Yes, it's a little more work, but you'll be better off in the long run. I never used to do any sort of maintenance like that - install and uninstall a dozen mods, play for a while, do it again... ended up causing quite a few problems.

i have the default launcher,it worked fine for vanilla xcom2 and tried what D3nt0n said and nothing changed,could it have to do with where the mod folder is? i have it in" E:\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame" and "E:\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame" to try that since a few places said to install them there

 

Edit: So turns out the mods werent being added to DefaultModOptions.ini so i had to add them myself

so about Mirann's wotc prostitution mod,is giving birth to aliens possible? the readme doesnt say but in the .ini it implies it is "AlienBirthDamage".

It is, but it's just numbers that increase instead of having an practical effect.

Also had huge problems and managed to fix them by copying wotc mods in both mods folders xcom2 and wotc. The launcher only picks them up in xcom and to run them you need them in wotc. Strange enough but works fine for me.

Btw, do you guys know where I might find other lewd NON-NUDE mods that aren't on the Steam Workshop ? I've noticed some screenshots of skimpy outfits ( Ports from other games I assume ) that I wasn't able to find on the Workshop or via a quick Google search.

Well i could but i found a better way i think.

 

Get the alternate launcher

https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher/releases

 

Mods from the steam workshop should work anyway but for other mods like the ones downloaded from loverslab you need to do a little bit more.

 

Copy the mods to

...Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Mods

Create the mods folder if it doesn't exist.

 

Start the launcher, and add the wotc mods path in Options/Settings/Mod Directories

 

That should do the trick.

You might have to delete the config folder  Documents\my games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config if the mods don't show up in game

Then start the game once with the launcher and it will recreate the folder. Close the game and start it once more and everything should work now.

 

If you want to start up xcom instead of wotc use a new copy of the launcher, don't use the same one for both games.

 

This way the stuff doesn't get mixed up. What i did originally was copying the mods to both mods subfolder in the wotc and xcom directories,

If you are only using the original launcher and wotc then it seems to work fine with the original launcher. If you have mods for both wotc and xcom2 it's getting hard to differ

between the mods this way. If you have a lot mods it's getting nearly impossible to switch between the games, thus the alternate launcher seems a much better way.

Hi, people, long time watcher, been using your mods for ages. Appreciate the great art.

 

I`ve been having some trouble with this for the GOG WOTC version (the non Steam version of the game recently released). I put all the nude and sexy clothing Mods (great work, thanks) in the game which all showed up fine. Then I figured out how to transfer all my Steam Mods from the Steam version of Xcom 2 WOTC to the GOG version....

 

But for some reason the Steam mods have all somehow completely over ridden all my nuide mods from here. I`ve tried that altenate launcher, but guess what? It doesn`t work on a non Steam version of the game. Guess the maker forgot about GOG!

 

Does anyone know If there some other way to get the nude/sexy mods from here to work withthe Steam ones on the GOG version, so they`ll both work together?

im having trouble installing the mods.  i created a mod folder in the XCOMGAME folder and unzipped the mods into the mods folder but i get no results. will these mods show up in the workshop? Is there a feature in game that i have to change in order for it to find the mods?

Hello everyone, played XCOM 2 years ago and now wanted to play again with mods, noticed a few mods for the vanilla version are missing. Are these files lost forever or they can be found somewhere?

so i got the red screen. but my prob is when i got to properties. there is no "TARGET" line so i can change the no red screen option. so any other suggestions on how to rmove or where i can find an alternate route to this "TARGET"?

Whatever happened to the ability to select left or right nipple piercings (not both, as in the LL_Pack), and why did the body part selection become so limited?  I recall using upper and lower face to select belly piercings, and left and right shoulders (otherwise little-used body parts) to choose left and right nipples for piercings.  Now, after doing some of the updates indicated above (after some experimentation of my own to get things working together, so maybe I'm missing something), piercings are ALL in the SHIN section, and you can either do double-nipple piercing OR belly piercing!  WTF?   I did add the WOTC Female Clothing Pack recently, but they are so amazing (and it seems like this is also the inspired work of @n00bling) that I MUST have that mod and am trying to make the rest of the props and nudity work along with it...which I HAVE except for the body piercings.
