[XCOM 2] Mod index

Would anyone know any complications leading to a "grenade bug"(game 100% crashes on any explosive use). I have been just binge-modding Xcom2 and now i would have to backtrack around 50 mods at once(most of those here + workshop mods) to find the bad one.

Maybe anyone else had problems with grenades/explosives? I use WoTC

Edit: solved, i mixed up vanilla and WoTC mods. The vanilla mods created the crashs, i suspect the prostitution or armor mods.

May I say that the WOTC clothes mod doesn't work? For me, all parts results in invisible torso or legs.

Do you mean the LL Pack ? It is incompatible with all the old packs : Leg Pack, Torso Pack and Props Pack. Instead you have to use this one.

Is there a working link somwhere for Wrex456's Clothing SFW ? is it just a SFW version of the LL Pack or is there new things in it ? If there are new things and no link, can someone upload it ?

I'm not sure what SFW means but if I remember well, this is the pack that can be found directly on the Workshop.

See there what is, I suppose, a quote of the missing post: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/57070-lewd-mods-and-xcom-2/page/70/?tab=comments#comment-2457069

SFW is "safe for work", opposed to "not safe for work" when you can't watch it at work because there is nudity or porn.

Thanks for the link, I'll get it on Steam.

Does anyone happen to have links to the WOTC nude patch from Moomany and the parts patches from mrace999? All the links in the index seem dead and I can't seem to find them anywhere else.

These two downloads should have what you are looking for.  Barebaremod is the nude patch by Moomany in the first download.  The mrace999 patches are in the second download.

----------------------

I tried to make this an easy place for new players to start.  This requires you to have WOTC.  If you picked up XCom 2 on sale, then WOTC is usually on sale too.

The original page for the Mod Index has some out of date links and people overall just get confused on which mods conflict with other ones.  All these mods will work together besides the two for Lily Shen.  Only use ONE of the Lily mods.

Go ahead and pick up the alternativelauncher from the github X2CommunityCore on the first page, it's much better

Mods go into XCOM2>XComGame>Mods

WOTC Misc Lewds consists of:

  • AProstituteLook by Arcturus777 --- this is the cum facepaint mod
  • ASkintightMOD by Arcturus777
  • AvengerBareClerks  --- this allows for nude engineers/doctors/bridge crew on the ship, you NEED to read the specific ReadMe file in order for this to work
  • Barebaremod by Moomany  --- nude bodies and tattoo compatible nudes (this is required if you use Nude_Pack in the other download)
  • LessLewdLily by jdm222 --- topless lily
  • LewdLily by Moomany  --- nude lily
  • McM_SlootArmors Plate and Powered by Mcmanus82  --- lewd Plate and Powered gear
  • NipSlipMod by Valeris  --- nipple skins

WOTC Mrace999 and Wrex456 consists of:

  • Mrace999's WOTCLegPack, WOTCPropsPack, WOTCTorsoPack (People have said this conflicts but does not seem to be the case for me)
  • Wrex456's WOTC_Leg_Pack, WOTC_Props_Pack, WOTC_Torso_Pack, Nude_Pack, WOTC_Civilians
  • And a folder of patches for Wrex456's and Mrace999's items

Sometimes during scanning the screen will darken and scanning will stop which I can only disengage from via right click or ESC. My guess is that there should be a message about the prostitution/breeding soldiers coming back since that doesn't seem to happen when I didn't send any units.

Now I fear that some of these messages are actually about my captured soldiers and I can't follow them since I don't see the messages.

Did anyone else encounter anything like that?

This has also been my experience. I tried poking around in the script to see what was causing it, but it was beyond me.

The only way you can have a red screen is either a bad install (which mean reinstall the game) or you stole the game. As for the mods it's painfully simplistic, create a mod folder in the Xcom 2/XcomGame (for vanilla game) or Xcom 2/Xcom2-WarOfTheChosen/XcomGame folder that says mods. Because a lot of these mods work and I mean a lot, I even still have/use the very first none updated mods I grabbed from here when there was ppl still modding and posting mods in here and those still work. Even after f-ing up my game multiple times, corrupted saves and re-installs.

I have tried everything to get any of these mods to work, I tried with nexus mod manager and all i get is red screen errors and no mods ever work. How do you even get this shit to work, no guide out there at all!!!

Did you bother looking for a solution? "xcom 2 mod install" or "xcom 2 red screen" gave me pages of fixes to try.

Hi, let me first apologize for my post but I would really appreciate an idiots (me) guide to installing these mods.

They look great and clearly a labour of love for those that created them.

I can switch on a pc and downloaded the vanilla from steam but after that I am lost. Win 10 on my pc with which I am not familiar.

I do not know how to find the original game files for this game to add the mods file. Yes I really am that clueless!

Compared to most of the posters on here I am in the stone age (I come from the generation that regarded a pc as extreme science fiction)

Any help gratefully received

Find your Steam folder first, mine is in C drive, ->Program Files(86) -> Steam -> Steamapps -> Common -> Xcom2

(At this point if you have vanilla it's the folder -> XcomGame. Inside this folder is where my 'Mods' folder is at.)

(If you have War of the chosen, going into the Xcom2 folder you will see a folder  'Xcom2-warofthechosen' -> XcomGame. Inside this folder is where my 'Mods' folder is for WoTC.)

I'm not using any fancy mod installer. Make sure if you've only got vanilla to only get vanilla mods. Download the zip files with the mods in them, extract, move the newly extracted folders into the 'Mods' folder of your needing (Vanilla or WoTC).

When I open my game the launcher has a list of available mods to toggle on / off.
Anything beyond that, I'm not smart enough to help with.

HI  I am fairly frustrated by this.

I can find the folders down to xcomWOTC but I do not know how to add the necessary Mod folder to it.

It is clearly simple if you know how but I just don't get it, I really am woeful at this.

If anyone can give me the dummies version of how to create the Mod file I would be very grateful

Thanks

Hi again.

I have created a mod file now (more by luck than talent).

I downloaded Misc lewds detailed in a post above and it lists all of the mods in it but I can't get them to run or be seen by the game.

Pretty sure there is a really simple procedure to do this but I have not hit it yet.

Any advice as ever well received

Hi, another update on my failure, you will be getting bored!

Downloaded again into a separate folder and then put the individual mods from that into the xcom mod file but still no joy

I downloaded with 7z.

From previous posts I think I might need to unzip these files but I don't know if this is the case or how to do it.

Again any advice please

Did you check this post (there are probably several others in the other XCOM2 post)?

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/64634-xcom-2-mod-index/page/7/?tab=comments#comment-2291907

Inside your new folder "Mods" that you just have created, you should directly unzip, with 7-zip, the mods you have downloaded.

(if for the computer, a folder and a file are more or less the same, for us not. A folder like 'Mods' will contain other folders or files. A file does not contain any other files and it appears differently in your file explorer)

In the linked post above, you will see a printscreen of what should appear in your "Mods" folder: a list of all new folders you have unzipped, one for each mod.

Inside each of the mod's folders, you should find several folders (Config, Content, Localization) and files (Modpreview.jpg, ReadMe.txt, etc...)

Start with only one mod and start XCOM2. The mod should be proposed in the launcher with a selection box. If not, something is wrong.
