If there is a way, I can't seem to find the switch.

In the MCM menu:

Consequences Tab -> Public Indecent Section -> toggle off "Misogyny"

Ah ha, thanks. Figured there was a switch for it somewhere and I just wasn't seeing it.

Dropping by to tell my tale in case someone else has the same problem I did and it helps them, cause it sure drove me crazy. My game was crashing (CTD) whenever loading a new game or save if Cursed Loot was in my modlist/installed (even without esp checked), and after extensive testing (a long ass time hahaaa) I figured out that my Bodyslide output files were the problem, of all things. (I use Mod Organizer and keep them as a separate mod at the bottom of my list.) I didn't narrow it down to which BS files were causing crashes with DCL because at that point it's easier to delete them and rebuild everything. So yeah, niche problem solved I guess, tho it's weird that it was only with this mod.

Love the mod by the way, really polished, extensive, and all in UUNP.

This is not a rare question. Perhaps there is something about the way this is presented in the MCM that a few people don't get immediately?

I think it's pretty clear as is, but maybe if the hover info tip said something like...

If enabled, you may see a "Come here woman..." dialogue, and then be offered the option to refuse sex, and face possible consequences, or comply, which may result in sex in public.

The key difference is tagging the info text with that line of dialogue, so it's easier for somebody skimming the MCM to connect the dots.

You could probably even get away with changing the name of the feature in the MCM, from Misogyny to Come here woman!

xdtime4fun's post reminded me of something.

I've been playing Whiterun Brothel revamped lately, and thinned my LO down to do it.

This meant playing without DCL, as WRBr doesn't seem to like any other mod equipping devices (how selfish of it).

Also dropped were Windrunner and Devious Regulations, but I don't usually use those anyway.

One oddity I noticed, is that the occasional spates of crashes I get when entering a certain area (the area varies from spate to spate) totally vanished.

My skyrim has never been so stable - but I do still have DD4.1 and Zaz 8+ installed. I even have Hydra's Slavegirls in (patched) and it's still ok.

I can't say for sure that DCL is the cause of those crashes, but maybe there is something. Anyone else see anything similar?

I always think of DCL as being one of the least buggy mods, at least not buggy in the way that secretly wrecks your game at save 250 but hides how screwed you are until save 1250.

But those crashes... DCL is (perhaps coincidentally) always been in when I had them.

I suspected they were some mod trying to spawn some broken asset somewhere, or maybe even a vanilla issue.

Maybe there is an asset somewhere in DCL that is toxic, and maybe not on every person's install, but only in certain cases, maybe due to some texture from another mod or who knows what...

Anyway, speculative crash theory or not, WRBr is gone again, and DCL is back in my LO.

I've had DCL as an almost permanent addition to my load order and almost never experience actual CTDs - typically if I do get a crash it is a hard freeze that I have to kill the process for, but those are more likely graphical in nature and always happen randomly after an area manages to kill my frame rate (usually by having a bunch of NPCs come into view at once in a heavy cell like Whiterun) and are also extremely rare besides.

Not to say there isn't some interaction that your system doesn't like, you probably run many different mods than I do.  I'd say DCL probably isn't the source of a global issue however or I'd expect to have similar problems to you.  The only consistent crash I've ever noted with DCL is the Ralof teleport to Leon's house for that one quest causing a CTD, and I haven't tried that quest since it was updated to try to solve that issue by sticking him in the Bannered Mare.

I do think WWB is trying to set itself up as a mod that works well with DCL and other DD-adding mods since it recently added the Pony Sluts race missions as an optional DD-removal service.  For certain it works better if DCUL's traps and gag-talk outcomes are turned off during the actual Brothel quests, but hopefully eventually it could be a fun companion mod for getting out of some of the harder non-quest items of DCUL.

Hi, I've been playing with DCL since... forever, I think (I actually never played an unmodded Skyrim) and I don't remember any crashes that I could attribute to DCL. Sure, there are the occasional out-of-memory crashes though those have become a lot less rare with Crash Fixes. I am or have been using mods that conflict with DCL, like ETaC (Dawnstar), POP (tons of navmesh conflicts with many other mods) and maybe one or two others that I don't remember now. I'm also using Hydra Slaves though an older version (before the bugged "auto dialog" got introduced) and heavily modded by myself (mainly clothed slaves both to satisfy my own version of the lore and to reduce the impact in SLA). It is essentially as speculative as your post, but I'd say that everything that DCL spawns in the game world is safe.

What I did learn the hard way though is to keep an eye on my script latency. It's of course not just an issue for DCL, but DCL's timed updates (looking for rapists etc.) do a lot in a short time unless major features of DCL have been disabled in the MCM (and where's the fun in that?), so a game overly bogged down with tons of NPC mods and other high-impact things won't be too good a place to use DCL in, I suppose. Mind you, I'm not saying that DCL is "too script heavy" or any such nonsense. I am using it in a heavily modded game with numerous mods in it that have a big impact particularly together with Aroused (ETaC, 3DNPC, INPC, Hydra, Populated Roads, to name just a few) and it's been a long while since my game logged a stack dump (and that was due to adding other mods). I should probably also add that my load order is I think comparably light on kinky mods (no Creature framework, no Slaverun, no MME, no POP, ...), in fact DCL, CD, occasionally SD+, and lately Dev.Followers are essentially the core of my devious Skyrim. Overall, my game has been amazingly stable since I stabilized my core load order and only add/remove a few selected items with every new game.

I upgraded DDi and DDe from 4.0 to 4.1 recently. After this upgrade I could not start a new game. After some testing of different mod combinations I found that Cursed Loot 6.4 was the problem (or atleast it appears so), as with cursed loot disabled I could start a new game without any problems. I then enabled Cursed loot again, and downgraded DDi and DDe to 4.0 and things were back to normal, working OK. Anyone else with similar experiences? Thanks Hio

Edit: I reduced the number of animations as suggested below, and it was good advice. Things running fine again (with about 9000 animations I think).

DCUL is working fine with 4.1 for me.  However, some people with very large load orders are finding that with 4.1 their game is being overloaded with some data and crashing.  You can try reducing the number of SLAL you have installed or removing mods with lots of animations, as animations seem to be a big contributor to the overload and one of the easiest things to trim down on to get stable again.

Think in terms of "straw that broke the camels back".  Many people are now running into this issue and it seems to be related to a memory resource in the Skyrim.exe getting exceeded.

And no, we don't know how to fix it yet.

Run Bodyslide to create the meshes for the equipment.  There are plenty of tutorials on Bodyslide including video ones if you don't know how to use Bodyslide.

Hello,

this might sound somewhat trollish, but definitely is not meant as such: if the problem is really a memory management issue, then the solution (before coming up with some clever hackery) might be Skyrim SE. The greatest advantage of 64 bit is simply more address space.

SE's animation breaking point seems to be higher, but from what I heard, not significantly so. A lot of the old limitations still seem to be in the engine, 64 bit or not.

It seems that the Gamebryo/Creation Engine hasn't aged well since Morrowwind. From what you say it does sound like some static limitation in the engine. Time for something new I guess. Though one trailer that's over in the blink of an eye does not yet get my hyped ;)

Yea, unless the engineers working on SE specifically did a pass to cover all of these extreme cases, there probably wouldn't have been much reason for them to make any adjustments to a lot of these memory bottlenecks.  They would have been aiming for improvements to the base game environment + a few mods, not necessarily concerned with "what would break if the sex fiends on Loverslab shoehorn 15,000 new animations into this engine?".

I'm playing with the 4.1 Devious Devices mods and noticed two problems in that none of the new devices are dropping and all the keys aren't dropping at all(have drop chance at 95%).

Hi there! Always loved this mod but I am in need of some help. I used the Butt Plug and played for quite a while and now I can't seem to get it off. I used "FREE ME", and I tried deleting it in console commands. I also tried using the keys and there is a glitch. I am completely naked, and use the Unlock and Take off option on the Butt Plug, and it will say I cant remove piercings while wearing a leather something. I would really rather not start over but it is a weird predicament.

Had the same thing happen to me, it decided there was a chastity belt and thus wouldn't let butt plugs be token off me or my companions.

The "Butt Plug" is part of the Damsel in Distress set, and as such, is not intended for use outside of that quest. It will not operate properly as a regular anal plug.

To get it off via Console, you'll need to do a RemoveItem on the unnamed ScriptInstance of the plug (which should have an ID close to that of the named Inventory device). Do a player.showinventory and look for a Worn item with a similar ID. Once that's gone, you'll be able to unequip the plug from your inventory normally.

DCL hasn't been updated since the new DD release. So the new devices aren't DCL drops yet.

Make sure you've enabled keys drops for the containers you want in the escape menu. Keys also only drop when the container has a chance to trigger a trap.

So far it sounds like SE users are running into the same problem as if Bethesda didn't make this particular resource any larger for SE.

Apparently, they didn't. We don't know the inner workings of the engine, so it could just be that fixing all this stuff would have been very complicated and out-of-budget. I dunno. But mind you that releasing a stable 64 bit Skyrim wasn't their primary objective for SE. Pushing the game out on the newer console generation was. Looks as if they did exactly the changes needed to accomplish that, bot not necessarily more than that. Even the string limit is unchanged, and THAT we know to be a very easy fix.

For real?  Yeaaa that was a glaring issue with save games even without running adult mods, I'm kind of shocked it wasn't addressed.  Legacy of the Dragonborn + Interesting NPCs + a super follower like Vilja in Skyrim and you'd have eaten up a big chunk of that limit.
