squart2203 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 just completed the cursed device quest, but nothing happens after i touch the gem, even after several reloads. what's the deal with that?
Krazyone Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 OCTOPUS FACEHUGGER... I just discovered a nice looking mask, that is part of a weird aquatic armour. I was looking at the mask, and thought. Wouldn't it be a good facehugger type thing, that jumps out at you when you open the trapped chests. You wouldn't need an animation, just a blackout scene and you'd awaken with it on your face and you can't get it off. It could feed you some stuff that has both positive and negative effects, and make you pass out for an hour if you try to remove it. Along with all the perils that sleeping brings... It could be telepathic, you can hear a voice in your head that is telling you what to do. You could get a message box come up occasionally. ' You feel a tube slide down your throat, you gag helplessly. Feeling it pumping something into your stomach, you just hope its food. ' You could have a quest to remove it, sort of like the pet collar. Edhildils Mermer Armor by Edhildil on the Nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60162/?
Thelargir Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I'm just wondering if you have considered adding the "yoke" from the Zaz-pack to the list of devious devices?
Kimy Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 I'm just wondering if you have considered adding the "yoke" from the Zaz-pack to the list of devious devices? A yoke will -definitely- go in. Sooner or later.

That being said. the crux with armour models is always that it's common good practice for DD mods to support both bodies officially supported by the DD framework, which are CBBE and UNPB. The number of kinky armour models that are a) freely allowed to be reused in 3rd party mods and b ) have -both- a CBBE and UNPB version available is a good approximation to zero. This one would satisfy two of the three conditions, but it doesn't seem to have a UNPB version available. However, since we're talking about just the facemask - If a UNPB user can confirm it to be working with UNPB, I might be tempted to add it. Version 2.8 is slated to be all about more fun tentacle stuff.

Tentacles on V2.8 sounds really good.
D_ManXX2 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Was wondering if there is an option to make only cursed loot dangerous for females ?? so far i have noticed this also trigger on male counterpart.
Kimy Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Was wondering if there is an option to make only cursed loot dangerous for females ?? so far i have noticed this also trigger on male counterpart. It does not trigger on male followers. It -does- trigger on male players, though. Which is intentional. I do not support male characters but I didn't step out of my way to disallow using the mod for male characters either. If you play a male and don't want to get trapped by Cursed Loot, simply disable the mod in MCM.
Krazyone Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Here's a mod that would go great with your mod, when its finished... It's looking good... Its called DD Witch, it has a no clothing wearing armbinder that zaps you, as well as a novel spell casting system whilst wearing it. He's also building a quest, I'm waiting for it to be finished... http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1502-dd-bwitch/
xboronx Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Are you using the vanilla Skyrim tentacles from dragonborn too? They might be perfect for a tentacle trap event since they already have that whipping animation. Maybe they can used like the flash bang grenade, when you open a cursed chest you see the tentacle whip animation, then some text, and after that either some estrus action or some seekers rape you and do other nasty stuff
Gameplayer Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Thrown into jail again, how's a young Seccubus to survive without doing the deed. Standing outside the cell a guard starting eyeing my character...good thing there's a locked door here...Uh wait...he has the key... But then after the deed he left the door wide open lolz. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall I like all of the changes that have been made, I have not seen an Estrues Attack (spelling). Also I'd like to see the odds of the bedding an npc increased in favor of the event happening as it is now its way more likely that I get reported to the guards and I've racked up quite a bounty in a few holds like in excess of 3K in Whiterun and while trying to ply an honest trade at the Inn no less. Saw the Belt get applied once and wow there went all my earnings and then some.
Gameplayer Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 For some reason this Whiterun Guard thought that it was a good time to think with his other head.

gheavy Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Kimy, I think I found a bug in the cursed and high security harnesses. They don't show up on my char, even when I turn of Intergration's body slot hider. I think it's cos the "models" tab is blank in the CK. Pics attached.
DeviantDova Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Hey Kimy, I just stumbled on this mod while reinstalling Skyrim after a long hiatus. Nice Idea! I'm looking forward to trying it out once I go through the dreaded process of reconfiguring my mods. One quick question: Is the player supposed to also run a mod such as Deviously Helpless? I'm just wondering what is supposed to happen gameplay-wise after getting bound by the loot. Aside from the quests that happen, of course. That part is sufficiently explained in the description. But what happens on the way towards completing these quests?

I like using it to slow down my progress, or to force me to choose whether to open potentially valuable chests, or skip the potential lost time from getting out of the fun things...or possibly leaving me with something to make me a little less combat effective.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking...Deviously Helpless might be a bit too much. I guess I'm just wondering what the gameplay flow would be like, as I'm trying a semi-commited attempt at an actual playthrough. I love the idea of unexpected danger brought by this mod, but I'm not sure I want to have gameplay come to a complete halt either. Thankfully, this mod seems very configurable, so I might be able to tweak it to what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions for continuing gameplay while bound? I'm guessing stealth is probably the only option
Gameplayer Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 It just depends on the items equipped. Armbinder Stops progress completely until you have gotten it off. Blindfold You could configure the blindness level in Devious Devices Integration, in which case its entirely possible to continue fighting with one on...Though your Lighting Mods might put a stop to that even depending on light levels. Gag Has the least impact on fighting...Some Gags allow you to still consume potions, so that might not be an issue. With Deviously Helpless... Your very likely to drop your weapon with arm cuffs on which then leads to Rape and likely Armbinder, gag, blindfold. Leg Cuffs can cause a trip... Vibration Effects can cause a weapon drop event. Its still configurable, though the chance can never be weight 0. I'd say just up the chances of finding a sharp object in DDCL so that when the Armbinder is applied you don't have to run back to town for a 30 minute to 1 hour adventure of please remove this so I can keep kicking butt.
Slorm Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking...Deviously Helpless might be a bit too much. Thankfully, this mod seems very configurable, so I might be able to tweak it to what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions for continuing gameplay while bound? I'm guessing stealth is probably the only option I use DCL and Deviously Helpless all the time, there is an interesting symbiosis between the two mods that works really well. The trick is to get DCL set up how you like it. Personally I have it set to a flat 5% chance (arousal weight at zero) to get a device or key with the lower arousal limit set to zero (so there's always that 5% chance). It's something you have to experiment with until you find your own comfort zone, I've spent more happy times fiddling with the settings for this mod than any other Regarding DH, you can customise that mod as well so it only kicks in if wearing certain DD items, or if your weapon in unequipped or unsheathed. Some devices can make clearing dungeon more tricky than others. The blindfold I always deactivate as it's a game killer, all the others just need some some forethought but bear in mind some like the cuffs (if using DH) or the belt plugs can go off at unexpected times and lead to some interesting results. The only time they're a real nuisance is in Dwemer ruins unless you have the little helper plugs as it's just machines (unless you run into Falmer) I always tend to play a sneaky assassin/conjurer so I've never had a real problem with the devices but if you're a Mage I would imagine it would be a lot more difficult. But the main thing is to enjoy it, just enjoy the experience of being in Skyrim with some very *interesting* extra items to wear and try to roleplay as if you were there (only reload if you CTD otherwise take what comes).
Gameplayer Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Haha I tend to play with the Aroused setting at 0.4 I also double or triple the escape events. Lowered the Key Loss chances. Basically Events happen frequently but also the opportunity to continue a dungeon is there. I have almost all of the DD mods too Helpless Captures captured dreams expansion Aradia More stuff too but those pretty much all have a big impact on frequency and I'm always finding, losing, and using keys. Constantly being equipped in devices also everywhere I go.
Slorm Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I've got all the DD mods as well (except the Aradia one). I run various mods to act as gold sinks (trade&barter, College Days Winterhold) so I have to loot nearly everything I come across, so I found the flat 5% is just about right for me and at times the RNG really hates me and won't divvy up any keys for a long time

First 20 minutes to get back to a town and then i searched at least 100 barrels, sacks etc. there. I was getting desperate because i searched basically every building there, in one of the last possible locations finally the key ......... . I also play very similiar as you, it takes some experimenting to find settings for DCL and your other mods that you like, but i'm also happy now. My settings are 1% in towns, 2,5% in the wilderness and 5% in dungeons, and x5 for those large chests. The frequency DCL triggers is just fine for my taste, on the overworld often enough i can explore for hours while i usually end up with at least 1 DCL event in a dungeon.
DeviantDova Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Thanks for the responses! I feel like I have a better idea of what to expect now (not that the description was lacking - it's quite thorough!). "Your very likely to drop your weapon with arm cuffs on" Probably a really stupid question, but I assume that this doesn't include when your hands are bound, correct? (although that would be pretty cool - hands bound in front, but still capable of fighting at lesser capability. Would probably require new animations, unfortunately.) Actually - and I appologize for getting off-topic here - I like the idea of being able to fight somehow even in DD - such as kicks while in an armbinder, the above example of being able to clumsily swing a sword (i.e., lowered damage output, chance of weapon drop). That way, Devices would not make you helpless, thus bringing normal gameplay to a complete halt, but would just handicap the player. This might be a great way of introducing a new challenge to Skyrim and open up new gameplay possibilities. Thoughts?
