Some kind of cursed collar triggering mannequins to take advantage of wearer seems like it's should be a feature rather than a bug. Yeah, that's about right

Slorm Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 @Kimy Couple of suggestions for future upgrades if they're practical 1/ I been testing the latest EC+, could we have an option to switch off the chaurus impregnation so only the animation plays (as in Estrus Mimics) 2/ Could the Special Events be integrated into the basic DCL event trigger and weighted, this would allow the user to set the triggers more precisely. At present the special events are a subset dependant on a percentage set by a percentage of the DCL trigger (hope this makes sense). The reasoning for this is that the Slave and Cursed Collar should be relatively rare events whereas the EC+ and Flashbang hould be a lot more common. 3/ The "Attackers Can Tie You Up", can you put a checkbox in so that it can follow the threshold and min/max settings in General rather than fitting a complete set of devices.

Unfortunately the amount of customization Cursed Loot offers comes with a certain degree of complexity. One way or the other I will have to place some sliders somewhere. I actually had no idea that what started as a quick proof of concept would draw that kind of attention one day.

RE: Suggestion #2 Perhaps have some way of indicating once someone has tweaked all of the sliders approximately what the odds are of that specific event triggering and what scenarios might conflict with it. Something like: Cursed Collar - At _______ base event chance and _______ special event chance you will likely find this item in 1 out of every ________ containers if you are not already wearing an item that would block it from equipping.
JennyJ Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I seemed to have encountered a problem, I went on the cursed gear quest and was able to get everything just fine, it all equiped normally, but once I got the the final place and was able to get the chance to free myself the cursed gear decided to just stay on. My quest log says I completed the "find the release" but the quest itself is still active and nothing is coming off. Did I do something wrong or is this a thing?

Sadly I think I'm going to have to restart, I seem to have misplaced my safeword button

Problem with that is that you have to Estrus for Skyrim active then which is a real log spam generator, or DCL doesn't see it. Still it's not a biggie EDIT: You can switch off the impregnation in EC 2. I can't see how this would make things easier or clearer. Sorry I've really not put this clearly. I was thinking along the lines of perhaps either moving Flashbang and Estrus into normal Cursed Loot event so they become more common rather than being a subset, or of having two streams, one normal event and one special event either of which can be triggered if the condition is met. This would make the special event independent of the normal event rather than at present dependant on passing two tests to fire. (I still don't think I've explained that well) I'm just throwing out some ideas here, doesn't mean to say they're any good

Things seem to be working otherwise, in the Slave Collar Quest now. Started with a clean vanilla save pre sexlab mods. Thanks, loving it. P.S. Posted on Captured Dreams site about conflicts and Veladarius did not think there would be any conflicts, will find out soon .

Thanks IIRC doesn't CD allow the delivery/retrieval missions even if devices are fitted if your reputation is good enough with Master (can't remember if it needs to be good or excellent) so I assume that would also apply to the slave collar (perhaps Kimy will confirm). Beyond that both mods are doing what they should and speaking personally here I don't think I'd like to see either of them watered down as it makes the whole restriction in CD pointless

Kimy Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Custom DD quest devices are a bit tricky to get right, since they compete for slots and only one device of each type can be worn at any time. I designed my quests to still work even if third-party DD items are equipped (which is one of the reasons why you have to tie up -yourself- with the cursed items - the quest simply pauses if you can't do that right now). So in the end - if you're currently wearing Master's items from CD, it doesn't hurt Cursed Loot's quests one bit, other than they can't be started if you're currently wearing the CD collar. It goes the same way the other way around. Some Cursed Loot items such as the Cursed set are definitely designed for long-term wear (even permanent wear in case of the Slave Collar), but their presence might prevent CD quests from starting or progressing. I am not sure if there is a whole lot we can do other than making sure that our respective custom items don't outright break other people's quests. As far as I can tell, Cursed Loot and CD play nice with each other in that regard - there shouldn't be any outright bugs at least. Personally, I am a huge fan of CD, and I will do whatever I can to keep Cursed Loot compatible with it.

Thanks Ah right, I see what you mean now, yes the collar from Master would be blocked even if your reputation is high enough to get the mission.

For me, the Cursed Items are no problem because it is a shorter quest. High security items, just loot to get enough gold. That Slave Collar is long term frustration, even though I play a bit slutty, well a lot slutty so I only have to worry about the number of days and the key, not sex. Mod is evil now but loving it. Thanks.

Then a reward sack appear where the crystal was and I'm restrained for life given I hate safewords... Nah, I was just testing, but there is something wrong there, because the quest worked as expected in 2.4. (using 2.5a now)

Thanks. Why not cut the days down in the MCM, there are settings for minimum and maximum days for wearing the slave collar
