Quick As You Like! (A Devious Adventure)

I did think about that. My major issue was  finding an armbinder friendly getting up sequence. I might revisit that, actually...

I'm pretty sure that the Heroine In Distress mod has a standing up anim while bound...

At least, it starts you off bound and lying down, and you get up, and I seem to remember standing up while bound and not just popping upright.

And truthfully, DA isn't really necessary at all for this mod. The drugged drink is a perfect way to start it.

I like the idea that I'm inadvertently doing this to myself, and not technically being forced... technically.

I'll have to look at that again then. The last time I tried it my ENB made the whole thing pitch black so I missed the stand-up animation.

And I agree, I do like the aspect of co-operating in your own downfall... I might still use it as a way to launch further races though if they player doesn't want to go willingly.

I like DA as a concept, there are a few things that is a little odd with it that I am still trying to find work around, but at the very least it has been very consistence for me, it always behaves the same way.

Well, just gave this mod a try. I think my Deviously Helpless is having issues, since everyone seems to be trying to kill me instead of raping me, but probably not your fault.

Had some fun with it, though I think it would be an idea to have more of a relay race function instead of a long wide run. It has the advantages of letting you set up more scripted events [rapey bandits and the like], a way to point people in hazardous directions [Oh, this relay point is at the top of a bandit-occupied fort], and also adds atmosphere by not telling someone where their gear is right off the bat, forcing them to jump through the 'villain's' hoops to get what they want. Plus you can leave more taunting notes.

On another note, I am somewhat confused regarding the install. I downloaded 2.6.4 first, though without the slavetats, since that isn't really in my interest zone. I didn't even get an ESP, and no effects. Upon reflection, I then downloaded 2.6.1 and proceeded on my run. Is there something I'm supposed to do to mesh 2.6.4 into one of the earlier versions? The difference in the file size struck me as suspicious on reflection. I am using NMM to run my mods, for note.

Anyway, definitely appreciating this mod and all the things it brough to bear, looking forward to more races and more integrated ponygear, what with the additions in the latest DD expansion!

I also like the idea of being coerced, but I prefer to get into it reluctantly and if I object strongly enough the quest does not start.

What I think I would really like is a dialog chain where if I am polite but not agreeing, I get coerced into participating in the race. What I would really like to have for the quest start is the spell that Kematu uses on Saadia if you side with the Alik'r in Whiterun. (For that matter, if you side with Saadia in that quest, and she escapes, and they live, I would like to see them want to use it on you, though perhaps a different quest line that qayl for that...)

2.6.1 is the latest version of the actual mod. The 2.6.4 only contains the tats, if you want to use them. They are only necessary if you want the tats applied to you, in which case just dl and install both and they will mesh themselves.

Tell ya what, try unpacking this into the data/scripts folder and see if it works with 1.0.4/3.0

It should also use the slots defined in qayl_locked.json so you want everything to load one slot lower *looks at badbat111* then you can edit that file and this should respect your edits

Bear in mind that it will override future BSA files, so you'll want to delete it for the next release.

[edit]

Just noticed that despite everything, no file had actually attached. Should be fixed now.

I like it! I hadn't thought about the Saadia quest for this, but it does fit quite nicely.

Do you know, I have never once sided against Saadia. Something about the Alik'r just gets me all "picking on a defenseless woman, huh?"

I wouldn't mind, but I know she's probably lying, but I still go for it.

I have tried to do pretty much everything in the game, just to see how it goes. So one game I sided with the stormcloaks, the other the imperials. Killed Paarthurnax, left him alive. Sided with Saadia, sided with the others.

As to whether or not she's lying, debates can go on for days about that. I don't know, but I do tend to side with her, just because it always seems the Alik'r are shadier in general... pairs of warriors wandering Skyrim harassing random Redguard women, got thrown out of Whiterun for some unspecified crime, etc...

Still, their methods are somewhat similar to Cursus and his merry band of ___urgi's.

p.s. The author of QAYL saying he sides with Saadia because he doesn't like the Alik'r "picking on a defenseless woman" is kind of funny. :)

Well, you know, it's a bit like method acting. You want to portray a bad man convincingly, you get yourself into his head, think they way he does. That way you know the dialogue will sound right. But it doesn't mean I'm a bad person. I just play one on the Internet.

Plus, if anyone is going to enslave and degrade that bitch, it's going to be me. Those Alik'r tosspots didn't even have the elementary courtesy to offer to let me take a turn before they took her away. If they can't even show that much basic consideration, they've only themselves to blame if something horrible happens to them.

Umm... not that I think like that normally. Obviously.

You're making me wonder how much of the game I haven't seen, played through 2.8 times, always end up fighting in the same style, same choices etc.  Anything else just seems wrong at the time, don't like strong-arming people for the Thieves Guild, can't even give the Domme responses in CDShop.  I've been through all the branches of conversation with Cursus but that all felt wrong so reloaded and let him know my enthusiasm.

Have had different hairstyles and colours, and makeup, and once live in Solitude for a bit instead of Whiterun.

Does this mean I'm shit at RPing?

Oh, for a "bypass the civil war" mod though.  I don't want them to fuck up Whiterun and I'm not joining either side, they're all idiots.

I have the same problem.

For my initial few playthroughs (Steam puts my current number at 1,706 hours, so there were more than a few "initial" playthroughs) I tried to pick different options each time, and I'm pretty sure I've gotten everything. Mostly everything, anyway. There are still moments when I find something new in the vanilla game... not with dialog, necessarily, but with some other content such as a section of a dungeon I've never seen, or an interesting and beautiful piece of terrain I've never been to.

I keep meaning to play through again on a pure exploration type mode... walking all the back roads and trails I've never been down, that sort of thing.

However, outside of those few times I tried to play the whole game through with different styles, I always tend to play the same way. I always pick the same dialog options, always the same combat style, etc... I find it very difficult to deliberately be an asshole, even to those NPCs who are truly deserving of it... and even with the knowledge that they're just pixel-based characters in a game on my computer and they don't even exist! I can't seem to be deliberately rude to a nonexistent entity! There have even been times I've picked the "wrong" dialog choice and reloaded, even if that dialog choice was essentially meaningless and led to the same outcome in every way.

So, if you're shit at RPing, take heart in the knowledge that you're not alone.

Similar number of total hours here and I'm still finding new locations.  I think one of the QAYL runs acquainted me with a number of places I'd never visited before.  And I can't be an arsehole to people, in a frenzied couple of hours last week I decorated my Riverwood house with a dozen named NPCs courtesy of the I'll Take The Display Model mod.  An hour later I felt bad about it and reloaded an earlier game.

I couldn't even torture Sims all those years ago...

I don't think it's a case of being shit at RPing. I think we can all play a range of characters, but they all get played in our own particular style. I mean I've played most routes and backgrounds in the game, but they all tend to be clever-dick selfish bastards usually hampered by an inconvenient sense of right and wrong.

Was Cary Grant a bad actor, just because everyone he ever played was portrayed by Cary Grant? I'd tend to say "not", personally.

Tried to do the slaving quest in FO3 once.  Just couldn't, went back to Paradise Falls and killed EVERYONE.

hey doc, you should add Defeat to the requirements: i was banging my head so hard to get the mod working, without using defeat! XD

The mod works without Defeat, though you'll have more fun using it alongside a combat rape mod of your choice (Defeat, Submit, Deviously Helpless).

Likewise, she's pretty and can be laid ;). Even playing a female character I rather risk rape from the Alik'r than betray Saadia. I've played both sides of the Dark Brotherhood, both sides in the Civil War, but have never killed Paarthurnax since I see it as pointless.

2853 hours in the game but the shocker is that I also have 3427 hours in the Creation Kit. I was sure I'd spent more time playing than modding but...

Sir! I mislike your tone!

Yeah, she's hot.

Upon my honor, I never considered that, no, never!

It was one of my major reasons for protecting her.

Never would I let someone's sexual attractiveness influence my decisions!

I am lying through my teeth right now.

Her gender has nothing to do with this, I assure you.

Her gender has something to do with this.

You, sir, are a horrid person, and I hope we never speak again.

43 hours in Creation Kit.

Hmm...

I've used it a grand total of four times, for about twenty minutes each time.

For some reason, Steam is multiplying my CK usage by 10.

The figure 1706 is pretty accurate for Skyrim, I thought, but now I'm beginning to doubt it...

Yep. HL2 Episode 1 says 11 hours, and I've played through THAT one eight or ten times, and it takes more than an hour to get through it, even if you're busting your ass.

Steam is... INACCURATE! *gasp!* There is a fault in this piece of s... uh, software!
