AdorableDeviant Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Therein lies the problem. The debuff lasted after the conclusion of the race. Unless the game intends me to run back to that cage EVERY time, which I find somewhat... odd? Masturbating in that cage should get you 24 hours relief, more or less. The problem is that you use up most of the grace period from the initial orgasm waiting for the cage to open. But there's nothing to stop you fast traveling back to Northwatch when you need further relief. And yes, it is a little odd. Almost as if someone was trying to train the player to certain patterns of behavior... Eh. I fear that really strikes me as more of an annoyance than a titillating game feature. Maybe if getting fucked by a random guy were the training, that would be more interesting... [Not that I ever use masturbation when I'm worked up... ] I don't suppose you'd be willing to note me a way to get out from under this annoyance, such as an effect to remove? I'll be honest enough to admit that 'go to a random cage in the middle of nowhere every eight hours' is enough reason for me to avoid this mod.
DocClox Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 Well, if you want to drag a partner out to the cage and get it on inside, that should work too Seriously though, I know what you're saying. There's a couple of popular mods on LL that I don't use myself because I'm not sufficiently submissive or masochistic to enjoy them. They're not bad mods - quite the reverse - it's just that I'm not really part of the target audience. It's possible you're getting the same reaction to QAYL. In any case, I'm too deep in the development for the next release to put out any patches right now. I think my best advice would be to uninstall it and maybe look back in a few months down the line when things might make a bit more sense. Or you might just want to avoid it completely. I could understand that.
Eskella Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 It's possible to remove the effect w/ the console, but I can't remember which effect I actually had to remove and my video card is on the fritz so I can't boot the game to test. I'm fine with the concept but with no way to progress it plot-wise it just became an irritant, so I removed it. If I can get the game running long enough to experiment I might be able to ID which one it was. :3

DocClox Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 The arousal lock is controlled by a quest called qayl_long_leash. If you stop that from the console and unlock your arousal level you should be able to continue normally, if that helps at all. The other console command that people find useful is rimodcf which resets imagespace modifiers. Useful for people for whom the initial blur effect sticks
AdorableDeviant Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Hmmm. I've tried completing the stages of that quest and reseting the quest both, neither seems to remove the effect. So far I haven't had anyone give me a console command that will stop the quest altogether. Sorry to be such a bother with this, just trying to figure out how to get it fixed to continue my game. As a side note, the 'Quick as you Like' quest itself has an unfurfilled 'Do as you're told' objective. Not sure why or how that happened, just thought I'd mention it,
Content Consumer Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 An unfulfilled "do as you're told" objective seems to indicate to me that the quest hasn't finished at all... I'm pretty sure that objective goes away when you... well, when you do as you're told. Seriously, I wonder if the actual end of the quest got lost in the shuffle somewhere... At this point I'd recommend going back to a save before you started QAYL... that is, before you talked to Cursus at the inn. You did get the quest to find more solvent, right? EDIT: Wait, I get it... the quest finished successfully but one of the objectives is marked as incomplete, yes? That happens to me all the time with a lot of quests.
DocClox Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 StopQuest will stop a quest. The uncompleted objective - that's a bug. When you enter the cage it completes the wrong objective. I knew something was slightly screwy there, but never pinned it down before now. Fixed in the next release
Content Consumer Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 ...and date of next release ise...? Ostara. I'm deliberately thinking April, because if it comes in April I won't be disappointed. And if it comes before then, I'll be elated!

DocClox Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Sorry, did you think I meant this halloween?

carnifex Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Well, at least Doc didn't set out to rewrite the very way Skyrim interacts with mods, which is what authors of APPS are doing right now...

And if it comes before then, I'll be elated! Doc releases on 1st April and it turns out to be a derivative of Schlongs of Skyrim.
DocClox Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Now you should not tempt me like that! Seriously, tings aren't so bad as all that. I'm making steady progress. Not as fast as I'd like, but I have five bullet points ticked off my list now. And one new one added, admittedly. Still, we're moving in the right direction.
vital Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Hey, take your time. A polished product is always better than a mess. See how Simcity and BF4 turned out?
carnifex Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Indeed, good things are worth the wait - even though waiting is a pain in the ass... though seeing the nature of the mod, most prospective users should be down with that
Novki Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I normally don't post in sexlab forums, (I barely started posting in Simlab!), and I wish I could say something different that could convey good feelings like the rest of these posters while being different. (I can be repetitive! Just look at my last sentence!) So, I'll compile a list! -Thank you for all your time and effort in this quest mod. One can truly have enough masterful quest mods such as this one. -I wish you and your family well. Even if my post missed the worst of these events and everyone's perfectly fine, I still send my well wishes. -I wish I could do something to contribute to help speed this along. But wih my Skyrim, if one game isn't messed up one way, then the other game is screwed up the other way! Not exactly a good setup for testing. -I had a fourth point, but I forgot it due to multitasking.... I can recommend a mood booster, if anything. Listenin to Starbomb always picks me up in times of heavy work load. It is a great video game music album with lyrics reminiscent of these forums, (you won't believe how many times Mario can reference penises.) Ok, I'm done with my worthless opinion and will go back to lurking. I'll be waiting in anticipation, Doc!
dbzabster Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 guys is there supposed to be quests in this mod or is it just running? I reached river wood and i began to get bored and one more thing is the tattoo supposed to be forcefully drawn to the character or you just add it as usual? The quest is the run. If you have mods that make the enemies take advantage of you it gets to be really interesting . And yes the tats should get put on you at the start of the race. You actually can't remove them through the Slave Tats menu so watch out.
