DLC location like Soul Cairn as interesting as it could be, besides the fact that it is DLC limited it also take sometime for it to become available. Not sure how deeply invested the character should be to play this mod. Skyrim isn't very friendly for keeping heavily moded saves around.

I know what you mean Ironically, one of the best treatments (in pop media) combined the two into one antagonist - Stakeland. Reminds me of Last Blood There is a mod somewhere on the Nexus that adds sparkle to Vampires - and it didn't seem like a joke . Yeah, I saw that :/ It seems that the cage glitch is still an issue, but perhaps another mod is causing it? Yeah, I've had reports. Plan is to have a (probably) friendly NPC wander past after a day or so and let you out. I better add that to my todo list... I have dangerous nights running (and it often doesn't play nice with other mods) so my cage is currently filled with a few wolves and were wolves that got in but can't get out either. It's crowded, and cold, and uncomfortable. There's a disable option I could use to turn it off temporarily while in the cage. I kind of like the idea of DN triggering (once) while in there, but it gets a bit weird to find this friendly giant spider in there and think "I thought this thing was locked". I have this problem every time I use the cage outside the captured dreams shop. I once woke up to find a gian frostie had shown up, along with the three "teach you a lesson" thugs. That was entertaining. EDIT: there is something else going on in the script as well... I have reloaded a save from near the end of the run to retry the cage sequence, but I get constant CTD now. Not immediately, but 30 seconds or so after the save loads. I have gone back to older saves as well - from before starting the quest line are CTD as well. In other words, all of my saves are now corrupted. I lastly tried a brand new game (LAL) and CTD after about 30 seconds. Ut oh. Ouch! You want to post a log file? It sounds like something in StorageUtil got corrupted. Could be JContainers too I suppose, but JC should start clean with a new game while StorageUtil carries over. I had turn creature rape off in Defeat, though, but it got caught in some kind of Infinite attack-rape-loop (after the wolf was done raping my PC it would attack her again, bringing health below the rape threshold, over and over). thx Regallag, I'll try it tonight
Tara26 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Not sure if this will help or not.. but I did some investigating to see what was causing my CTD with QAYL. I did a complete reinstall - thank goodness for Nexus archiving mod files and then did the whole - disable half your mods, run game.. add more or remove more depending on result and came to this conclusion. It wasn't QAYL that was causing my CTD, which is weird because they didn't happen till after I installed it. Instead I found out that it was the More Bandit Camps mod. It was doing something that corrupted 'something' because once it happened, even old saves were no good and only a computer restart could clear the blockage. Weird, some strange conflict between the two mods, but maybe just on my machine.. So I have to chose between fun races across skyrim or extra bandit camps... well, that was not a hard decision. -B

Written up two thirds of one of my mammoth dialogue trees - hope you all have as much fun playing as I've had writing it. Also added a little something to make revisiting the cage a little more rewarding. Off to a birthday party in around half an hour, so not sure how much else will get done today. Still, progress!

People mock it, but where would porn be without the framing of trying to figure out how to pay for that pizza with no money? Gotta have plot!

I've been passively watching this mod and thread for the last few days, but I have speak up to agree with this. I've been looking for more mods with decent questlines/plot. I just did the Devious Devices quests and I just didn't feel satisfied with them. They just seemed like an excuse to give you a belt and plugs and force you to clear dungeons with them. I haven't tried the mod yet (mostly because it's not finished and I'm actually still playing through the game for the first time), but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how it turns out when it's closer to being done. It's good to hear that you're putting the effort in on the dialog. Anyways... Back to lurking now. >_>

It may sound silly, but I simply cannot bring myself to have the Dragonborn do 99% of the stuff that LL mods inflict on this poor little nobody slave. My current installation is DLC-free, and I do not miss them.

There used to be a notion going round that the brain was the most important erogenous zone. I pretty much subscribe to that idea. Get the imagination moving and the rest is easy. That said, I'm trying to make an adventure here that the Dragonborn could conceivably fall foul of. Not that you need to play it that way, of course. The opening post kinda confuses me. Is Death Alternative a requirement at this time, or not? It is, in fact, a little confusing. DA is not currently used in the mod. It was in the earlier versionsm, and old save games may try and start the DA entry point anyway. That's irritating, since the opening scene is broken. QAYL doesn't have DA as a dependency, which means you should be able to run it without DA loaded. I haven't tested that however, and I'm not sure what would happen with old saves. I'll see if I can clarify things in the opening post a little when my head is itself a little clearer.

Turn off the qayl encounter in the DA settings. I don't think qayl currently supports the DA encounter since it wasn't all that populair (afaik).

You should get an objective completed message. Then look outside the cage. There should be a plate, with a note. Underneath the note should be the key to the cage. This glitches sometimes in the current release (WIP, Alpha code), so if you've already got the objective, you're probably best off unlocking the cage from the console. Is there supposed to be a specific load order? I still can't get it to work. I don't see it as a option in death alternative and I can't get it to start by just being defeated Go to a city. The messenger should meet you with a note. If he's not there, go into a shop and back out again. Any ETA on the MCM config options as well as making this an addon of DA?A week or two, depending on how the scene writing goes for the next race. There's a big chunk of stuff with the next one so it may be a while. DA will be a while longer. There's a scene I want to get right before I turn that back on, and it needs some work still. By the way, wouldn't this conflict with DA if it's not an addon yet?Shouldn't do. I'm not catching player death events at all. The quest is currently courier activated. I should probably make that clearer. Maybe tomorrow when I'm awake...
cleversheep Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Any chance you could reduce the frequency of the messages you get once you've completed the quest? Currently they're showing up every minute or so, which seems a little over the top. And just a heads up: one of the messages has the word 'fantasise' misspelled (or fantasize, if you're from the colonies). Think it's down as fatasise, or something similar. Lover the mod, though! Like everyone else, it seems, I'm eagerly awaiting the next instalment.
