EDIT: I can apply the Tattoo's manually in Slavetats but they still don't appear in the quest, nor does the brand.

I'm using the latest version and a clean save.

 

Is the qayl_locking.json file there?

 

Failing that, any chance of a log file?

 

Looking forward to the use of permanent lock, you cannot untie yourself, when you asleep in the cage, the other (I don't remember the name) will come and help you to unlock the locks .

 

Well, someone will, anyway. Going to add an option to force the player to wait in real-time during the day and only sleep at night. Specially for jordisslave that one :)

 

Off To The (Devious) Races

 

Edit: Be careful about changing its name now. The word is out and its about QAYL.

A good point. QAYL it is. Though I might still add the "devious adventure" suffix

I completed the race again with the most recent (no fast travel - southern route past Helgen and Captured Dreams house).  I've noticed these ongoing effects.  My guess is the shoulder tattoo is the cause.

 

 

During quest:

Orgasm when cage bars slam close.

High arousal but not sure if because running around naked or tattoo. I kept the armbinder on most of the time (putting it back on when npcs removed and map was consulted for ongoing orientation)

 

Frequent messages which include:

* Remember orgasm when you entered cage

* Daydreaming about being restrained

* Fantasizing about sex behind bars

 

Also, the more critical issue and why I disabled Cursed Devices - New Arousal minimum in high 90's.

 

 

 

Tonight I played and noticed

 

Everyone thinks she's naked. At first I thought this was a problem with the armor or SexLab Aroused, but it would make sense that it is the tattoo.

 

A side effect of this (from SD+ I think) is that I keep getting Submit/Resist boxes popping up and rape attacked because everyone else is so aroused at seeing her.

 

Without going through code, this is my impression by simply playing the mod. I think that the Daedric influence is doing several major things:

1) Keeping the victim permanently aroused and punished.

2) Playing Mind Control games on her, weakening resolve for further games and ongoing domination.

3) Making the victim appear naked to everyone else around her, raising their arousal

4) Creating a very dangerous situation for the victim, where all random passerbys, male or female, could be overcome by their arousal and sexually attack the victim.

Hmm... The vanilla naked check just makes sure you're not wearing armour or clothing over the body slot. (jewelry will still set it off).

 

That's nothing I've monkeyed with, so if it is me, it's a bug.

 

There should be a couple more clues in the next release :)

Ran my first race with the new course, not exactly sure which version, you've been doing so many updates lately but it's fairly current.  Had an issue that had not happened before.  I have SlaveTats, QAYL and all the QAYL Tat Packs loaded.  When the race begins it used to state, "SlaveTats Working".  That didn't happen this time and no tats were applied.  I already had three tats applied from a different adventure.  I thought maybe this was interfering so I reloaded an earlier save and removed them before the race.  Still did not get the message or the tats applied.  I reloaded again with my old tats applied, ran the race (love the new course) and this time my tats changed from their selected colors to a light greyish hue.  Not sure what else to do at this point.

 

And now a race report:

 

As my contestant was on the road just past Fort Greenwall and heading towards Rorikstead during a huge downpour, courtesy of Supreme Storms she was assaulted by a member of the Dawnguard.  She is not a vampire, probably due to the Random Sex mod.  After he has his way with her she gets sweet payback in the form of a lightening bolt that roasts the Dawnguard Orc with a huge bolt from the sky, which was provided by Mintys Lightening Mod.  Love the stuff that can happen with different mods brewed together!

So that's two people with tat issues. Hmm... I wonder if it's the compression ddsopt applied to the textures. I'll try a mipmaped by otherwise uncompressed pack tonight and we can see if that solves your and Windu's tat issues.

In the desciption page it states death alternative as required, but it seems that it's not so right now. Is that going to change? (Hopefully not) 

Also are there any more races coming?

The mod shouldn't use DA at the moment. There may be a couple of references still that will need DA to be loaded. You can untick "mod active" in mcm and turn if off if you like. For the next release, I'll see if I can make it completely stand-alone.

 

DA will be back ... but it'll be a soft-depend much the way Defeat does it, and you won't miss anything if you don't have it loaded,

 

Races are coming real soon now. In fact, I may take a week or two and get them set up properly for the next release.

Unless a new update has been uploaded since these quotes, I had the exact same problem... no slavetats working... not even putting them on manually...

I was reading this thread and I remembered that I had had problems when upgrading qayl because qayl_locking.json was write protected in the archive.

 

I wonder what would happen if someone installed an old version and their archiver respects the write  protect and silently refuses to update the file when they upgrade?

I tried it yesterday. Struggled the armbinder off, got out of the stuff quickly. Then it was normal gameplay and quite easy. Almost felt like cheating. Is the armbinder supposed to become loose in this mod?

It`s a very early version. Author already promised to look into making armbinder unremovable, though.

I actually like the fact that it currently has an ending.  The mods that run in loops tend to get stale.  Of course, having more races or different races, maybe a tournament now that is interesting.  I think Doc needs to make an island to have some sort of Devious Olympics.  There are even gold and silver medals (necklaces) in the game already!

 

By the way, Doc.  I'm trying the mod again as I was having different problems with my last game.  Same issue, no tats applied.  The only thing from a user standpoint that I can see is before, when slavetats worked I would get a message that "SlaveTats is working", this message would be displayed whether I had included your tat pack or not.  Currently I don't see that message before the race.  Also in the current game, your slavetats appear in the SlaveTat MCM menu and I can apply them to my character.  Haven't tried to remove without solvent, just using the menu.  I'll give that a check later.

 

One last thing, Cursus reminds me of Freddy Mercury.

It`s a very early version. Author already promised to look into making armbinder unremovable, though.

 

 

Ok i see. Could be quite easy because in Captured Dreams shop there is an unremoveable binder I believe. The one you get in the delivery quest if bandits win.

I've been working on the assumption that most people, if they didn't want to get out of the armbinder easily, they'd have set the difficulty way up in the DD menu. There have been requests for an escape proof version, and the only thing holding that up has been getting around to writing an MCM menu.

 

I did that on Monday. It'll be in the next release :)

 

@Crudo: murfk was kind enough to give me a silent flag for the slavetats API so they'll no longer print that message when QAYL adds them. They should still work though.

 

Which reminds me, I was going to try reverting the compression on those textures and see if that helped for the people not seeing tattoos. I guess that's the next job.

 

And yeah, Cursus does look like Freddie Mercury, now that you mention it. Hadn't occurred to me until you said it, but yeah, he does.

Okay.. real noob question here. 

 

I have never ever used Papyrus logs before, how do I use/retrieve them? :P

I could have sworn you used to do this back in the SSG days ;) Anyway:

Also, new tat pack up. Full mipmaps, loessless compression only. It may well sovle the problem. You'll need to make a data folder when you install them again. Folks not using MO are probably best off going to Data\Textures\Actors\Character\Slavetats and removing qayl.json, qayl_locking.json and the QAYL subfolder before installing the new pack.

 

Of course if tats are working for you, you can probably ignore this update :)

I made the armbinder inescapable by setting the minimum stamina for struggling to 3000.

The armbinder was too escapable for my taste, but i do use zenet_GagQuest.

Well, next release you'll be able to make your bondage as severe as you like. I just need a bit of set up time first.

Been a busy night tonight. I tried to get a perk working to help Frostfall users. (Also murfk wanted an assist with perks, and I already had this one in mind). I repacked the tats with lossless compression, I found a way to script-lock a door so the key still works (kudos to RealmEleven on beth forums) and I pitched my idea for soft-linked deviant devices on the DD-dev discussion.

 

And before I turn in I might even get a bit more dialogue written ;)

Don't know if it's a bug or not. 

 

I've completed the quest and have just been dungeon-crawling hoping to Helplessly bump into draugr (difficult to do as it turns out) and used the tattoo removal button so could try other tattoos.  I still have the removal quest and get the stamp effects and wasn't sure if this was because it's WIP or a bug worth reporting.

You removed the mark from your skin, but not your soul!! Mwa-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!

 

Seriously, the quest that goes with the brand is still running, and so you still get the effects. This was semi-intentional; there are going to be ways to remove that thing, but some of them are going to be more effective than others. With the result that sometimes you'll wake up and find the brand came back of its own accord. I haven't actually coded the brand-come-back bit yet though, so you're just left with the effects.

 

More seriously still, that probably is something I should address with an MCM uninstall button though :)
