I tried to get in the spirit of things and killed some Thalmor as they were going past an inappropriate location. With some creative use of "grab" and using the console to toggle their AI to off (which made them stay in place) I left the trophies in an appropriate place.

Unrelated to this but related to comments on the last page, I'd edited some of the Ratway and completely cleaned up that room Laura posted. Replaced the headsman's looking block with a wood chopping block, pile of wood and stuck a bedroll in one of the alcoves.  Put a couple more in other places, especially Gian the Fist's room (after removing traps) and added I think 6 NPCs to make it a whole squatter's den. Mental lore has them sneaking out after dark to find food to steal and bring back as well as chucks of wood, split firewood to steal and other wooden trash to burn for cooking and heat. They could throw it down the unused well hole that they re-cover to keep it hidden and then split the pieces during the day.  They're an industrious lot, not really beggars but driven underground by various legal issues and have formed something of a usually cohesive group that gets by day to day.

That's what I thought too, then I got distracted by the post date and thought he just clicked on the "most recent" post and didn't see when it was from.. or that there were a number of Pages of posts after it.

Correct.  I forget where I was going, or coming from, and do not know where they were going, but they didn't get to where ever, and I eventually did.
