Maybe something similar, try pressing #3 on the numberpad and see if the issue with the mouse persists.

I can guess at the most likely answer to this but I will ask just in case.

 

Seeing as there are consistent requests for more male romances, is it just the writing of them that means you wouldn't be willing to incorporate any more or is it also the sheer work involved in dialogue splicing?

 

I can see how the two together would be a nightmare to one unmotivated to do so: finding the right dialogue lines to sample from, as well as writing the quests themselves with a limited script.

 

That being said, if it was just the writing of them that is harshing your vibe on more male lovers would you be open to having other writers submit stuff to you? Provided they have done the hard work of going through all the dialogue options available to certain voicetypes and the story fit within the mood of your mod would you be averse to some out-sourcing?

 

Just a thought / offer.

 

I could still see the practical work of voice splicing and the limitation of having to collaborate with others being a turn-off in any case but I'm just curious.

This has been brought up before, and basically as long as you are willing to do 95 % of the work where Fox is quality assurance and inputting it into the mod, additional contributors are welcome for anything that would be acceptable on the Nexus basically (so no rape obviously) or wouldn't conflict with something Fox was going to do, or would be out of tone with the rest of the mod. However it means you are both writing it and doing the voice work for it (and they are the same thing really in a way), and that is a LOT of work, we still haven't heard from the last modder that was supposed to add male romances and the new romance is not in the mod, probably because it was too much work. Fox just makes it seem to easy is the problem.

I was thinking about that Parthunax Dilemma mod the other day, and how cool it would be if someone added voices similar to how FoxFingers did AA-then realized that if it were easy, someone would have done it by now.  I mean, Esbern and Delphine have a lot of dialogue already to play with, but, dang that is a lot of work.

I noticed yesterday that thedialogue "My Love..." for Illdi and that other bard in Winking skeever in Solitude is gone. 

Anyone knows what caused this.? 

I dont know if it is there for the other lovers but I fear it is not.

As I suspected (and rather feared). The voice clipping is not only the most impressive but certainly seems to be the most challenging aspect of doing a mod like this.

 

Not only that, but, the advantage Fox has had is in simply making something he enjoys. Anyone coming in as a secondary writer not only has to impress him but everybody else.

 

It's certainly something that I imagine would need a little feedback from the fanbase. Which male characters they think have the potential to be interesting lovers. (Bearing in mind that most of the unique voiced ones are probably off the cards. Dammit Brynjolf )

I'd imagine that could go along way.  Maybe condensing further by starting off with a few in the same voice type to get the ball rolling?  Best of luck.

Certain points are mandatory for certain lover-quest lines in this mod, yes. The "big ones" in particular.  A lot of the smaller funny ones you can still do.  Give the smaller ones a spin and see if that wets your appetite for more.  Dialogue might be a bit off still if NPCs reference things you've already completed, but... :shrugs:... worked for me here and there.  A good laugh or 2 is always worth a shot.

This is indeed covered on the first post. But sometimes reading like a dozen lines is harder than writing your own you know? I've been there.

 

Yes this mod relies entirely on quest triggers. Haven't left Helgen with Ralof, can't do Gerdur, already killed Mirmulnir, can't do Irileth, Maul or Aerin dead, can't do entirety of Riften, haven't talked to Elisif before going off to clear Wolfskull cavern, all of Solitude is locked to you, haven't talked to Serana in the cave, Serana is lost to you, haven't started charming Aela before becoming a Werewolf, she's never falling for that charm now, etc.

 

Now a lot of these can be gotten around using console commands with setstage in the quest stages, but you will be skipping a lot of dialogue, a lot of quest information and backgroudn information and context, and in several cases you will be skipping entire quests. Like if you've alredy completed Dawnguard, you need to skip to the third Serana quest where you have no cllue what's going on.

 

Start a new game. You will be pissed about it only for about a couple of hours until you start doing the mod's quests, then you won't care, and when you redo the Companions and Dawnguard with these quests you are going to enjoy them just so much more. When I did Dawnguard with Amorous Serana first time it was probably 5th time I go through Dawnguard, and it was like the entire DLC was new to me, it was as if previosly I had only played some of it and a new Director's Cut version of Dawnguard was released now that was rewritten to be way better. Start a new game, and you'll be glad you did in a day or two.

It really is pointless to me right now, because I wanted to see some of Serana's talk, maybe some stuff about Molag Bal.

She offers nothing though   I think with what Sacremas said, this entire mod would be a waste of load order on my current character.

Because just about everything's already completed. I'm working on quest mods just to keep it fresh.

 

 

 

Yep, I believe Serana won't ever work for this now because I have met her in the cave.

I completed Dawnguard, and even went as far as to send her off and get cured.

Starting a new game may happen some time in the very distant future. I'm not a fan of mods that require this though.

Since Skyrim's release November 2011, I have scrapped mods and uninstalled+reinstalled, starting over again and again so many times I lost count.

It gives me such a headache that nobody has already built a CTD detecting utility! This many years into it? Why has no one done this yet?

Starting over is what I despise most about Skyrim 

 

An optional patch would be a good idea, offering all dialogue options for those that have completed everything

You have been a member of this site since this mod was posted, and it's the most popular mod on the site next to the Framework and necessities like NSAP. I'm sorry but the mod is not going to be changed to accomodate anyone it would feel better for. And while it may not look good for you from where you are sitting with the mod being set up like this, I have no sympathies at all, because that is exactly one of the reasons why this mod is so great.

 

But... if Serana is all you want look to the front page. Shinji72 is doing a playthrough of Amorous Serana, watch that and you get the whole story and all the dialogue in this mod on the subject, there's no optional dialogue choices or alternate ways to do it so you'd have gotten the same stuff he will. But it's just not the same as playing it.

Did you add some other mod? It's possible that it got a new place in your load order and some other mod overrides the addition somehow, in which case you might have to move Amourous Adventures further down manually. Some mods, like this one, I always keep in the "bottom ten".

You need to put in a descriptive mother/daugther 69 session as the DB's entertainment into the next Nexus box as one of them pop ups, keep up the mod for two-three days, then change it before a moderator spots it. Just to see heads explode. I hope they have their webcams on when they encounter that, and do one of those retarded "Reaction" youtube videos. That would be entertaining. And get AA a thousand more downloads. And then mention, "Sorry that was a bug, I accidentlaly uploaded something meant for the version for the other site, will never happen again in this version.". And suddenly a thousand guys join Lover's Lab same day.

To throw the complainants a bit of a bone, maybe having an option to opt out through dialogue from certain... outcomes wouldn't be too unreasonable.

 

I mean, yeah, what the hell is the point of downloading a seduction mod if you decide you've had second thoughts before the event?

 

But some people prefer to roleplay in certain ways (plus could you imagine some of the reactions you could give your spurned lovers? Some might not take too kindly to rejection while others may just want you more... or not be all that fussed in the slightest.

 

I dunno. On this site people are generally a lot more "whatever floats your boat." The Nexus crowd seem to be far more demanding as a rule (though not as much as Steam was during the paid mods debacle >.<)

it's pretty pathetic really but I wouldn't get too riled up over it. That's kinda what they want most of the time. I think nearly everything people do on either Nexus, here or beyond will likely be seen as immoral to some (The people who bitch about skimpy armor come to mind) but at the end of the day it's all just fantasy.
