Has anyone found out the cause of SlaveTats not showing up on MCM menu? I'm on AE, all dependencies installed, the esp file is activated.

did you fixed it?

What version of slavetats do I need to work with SE 1.5.97?

You need SlaveTatsSE. Any version should be compatible, as long as you have the right versions of the DLL dependencies.

What version of JContainers would I need for version 130 beta of this mod, guys?

I've reverted it to that because like so many others, this mod kept telling me that I need racemenu or Nioverride, when I DO in fact have Racemenu.  I'm on AE btw, 16640.  I am currently using the Racemenu released on  11/5/2022 (the version RIGHT before the latest at the Nexus) and JContainers 4113, as I have been trying like hell to get this mod to recognize that I do have these programs and to be able to read the tattoos when I hit the add/remove button.

Man, using this series of mods has almost been as difficult as following the STEP guide, lmao.  No offense, modder; I totally appreciate your work here, it's just tough to get it running nicely on AE atm is all.

So, I decided to use Slavetats 13 beta due to someone in the rapetats comments stating they couldn't get the tattoos to be applied via rape when using other versions of slavetats.  Since tattoo application via rape is basically why I'm installing this series of mods, I'm following this advice.  That fixed the 'you don't have racemenu/nioverride' thing, but now it's barking at me about not having JContainers, omg lol.

Out of the frying pan, into the fryer!

EDIT:  Nevermind, in my struggles, I just installed the latest version.  Hoping a rape event will apply the tats, but for now I've got this working with all the latest files of everything needed for AE, and I'm going through MCM's.  If I run into trouble I'll post about it, but for now, I am advising people to just use the most up-to-date stuff you can.

No 'you don't have racemenu, you don't have Jcontainers' now, and I've gotten to get into the menu and add/remove, then assign tatt categories.

For some reason, though, I had to validate slavetats_cache.json, and MO2 put it in the override folder... I think Slavetats is looking for it in a data folder location according to the (tilde) console.  Hope that's not an issue tbh.

Can someone figure out how to fix the textures with the black backgrounds in this so that they will properly show up in slavetats? I think it has something to do with making them transparent maybe?

The alpha channel looks right on the textures I looked at.

Hi thanks for taking a look! The body textures are fine but the face ones are not. I don't know how to fix them because in-game they make the whole face black.

Hi friends I'm trying this using paint.net since Gimp is having errors when trying to load dds files (despite me downloading the plugin that is supposed to let me). Does anyone know how to select the #444544 color in paint.net? All I have is the color wheel and the expanded version shows RGB and HSV values.

In the expanded view, there is a "Hex:" field in the RGB section. Put it there, without the #.

Hi so I think it might have something to do with the tintmasks. In the general way of creating the art, it seems like the back is usually transparent, however the tintmasks have black backgrounds. Does anyone know a way around this to fix them so they will work with slavetats?

This is what happens when I apply a tattoo from https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/24435-bimbos-of-skyrim-le/.  I've tried reducing the amount of VRAM / RAM used, but it is consistently happening and only with tattoos from this mod.  Other mods seem fine such as LewdMarks.  I've tried applying it to UNPB, CBBE, and to vanilla meshes w/ vanilla textures.

Any ideas?  Is it a texture issue?

I've scanned the thread and it isn't clear what the working combination is.  Here is what I have:

  • skyrim 1.6.353
  • JContainers SE 4.2.2
  • RaceMenu 4.19.11
  • SKYUI 5.2SE
  • SKSE64 2.1.5
  • Dyuz Wurim Beauty 1.0
  • SlaveTatsSE 1.3.9.7.7

I have tried various combinations of JContainers, Racemenu, Unp skins, and SlaveTats. Everything says "Target is not compatible with overlays."

What combination does someone have working?

I found the problem.  At some point  something had disabled racemenu.esp in Vortex's plugins list. Reinstalling the mod did not change this setting.  I had to do it manually  in the plugins list.

Perhaps the mod uses a texture compression algorithm that's not supported?

So, I'm having a problem I never experienced before with SlaveTats. Everytime I apply a slavetat texture the game crashes.

Everything was working normally, until I had to get my Windows formatted in my main SSD. Skyrim SE and all mods from mod organizer was installed in another SSD, so I kept all the files and installation, including load order and edits.

To prevent issues, I reinstalled Skyrim SE again but applied the instance from MO2 and everything worked normally, I could play the game with all the mods I had, even using the same save I had before.

Except slavetats stopped working like I said, it crashes. So I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing like, Skyrim.ini or SkyrimPrefs.ini configs (those I couldn't save from my main SSD), Net Script Framework gives me the same crash error.

Edit: managed to fix it by dowloading the latest version of SlaveTats

Author of that mod here, just noting for anyone who comes across a similar problem: textures were saved using BC1 (bad. Caused this issue for some people's setups). Changing to BC3 fixed this problem.

Hey I also am having the same issue in se where when I load up my game, slavetats aren't being loaded back on to the characters. Slavetats is remembering the tats in the mcm but it isn't reloading them on to characters unless I manually retrigger them. I do have the most recent version too. Is there a way to fix this?

Can't get the MCM to appear (am on LE), have already tried downgrading the version, Jaxonz MCM Kicker, and using setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1. All requirements are installed and up to date. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit - Looked into my save file with ReSave, and there were some orphaned script instances and scripts without any data. Cleaning it up worked - not sure what caused the problem in the first place though, cause I hadn't had the MCM since the start of this playthrough.

The tats are not showing up. I'm not too worried about that as I still have some fixes I haven't tried yet in this forum. I had no problems loading my game and getting the MCM then created a new save. When i exited the game I found that a file was spit out into my overwrite (MO2) called slavetats_cache.json. I'm not sure what I am supposed to do with this file. I just created a new mod to store it in for now.  I tried looking in the forum, but wasn't finding anything or it didn't catch my attention if it was there. Thanks for any help.

Edit: I guess I was just being impatient. The tatoo showed up after awhile. Still not sure about that file. Since it works I'm not changing anything.

For some reason when I install any packs they don't show up in SlaveTats. Right now I've only got Dirt, General, Scars, SlaveMarks, and LewdMarks/LewdMarks glow. I've installed from both the AIO installer someone made and packs from here as well. Are there any common install mistakes I should be aware of?

Are you using the "add/remove tattoos" button in the MCM Menu? Packs aren't listed automatically.
