I use version 1.5.97 and the security overhaul patch crash-2025-05-25-00-40-51.log

I'm using 2.5.1 and haven't noticed any performance issues yet. On the other hand, maybe that version doesn't work at all in this build, as I haven't paid attention.

I built it in 2012 and both CPU and GFX are ancient in this day and age. There must be something else in play. I had lag spikes with ABBA whenever it applied morphs on player, before I turned it off. A lot has already been written here on this topic, I think they even posted a working esp. the weird part for me is that i successfully used the synthesis patcher for an old nightly version but it fails now. i should also add, some outfits seem to be clipping (like the ones i mentioned in the list (like the corset harness) but they dont clip in outfit studio. and chastity bra is appearing very small on my mc's huge breasts even when correctly genned in the bodyslide studio.

(i know... i know...)

I managed to connect it with the fact that before equipping the character had a weapon or spell selected in the hand. And the weird sounds is due to several attempts to remove a weapon (spell). Some Abadon Armor items have modifiers that can replace the selected weapon. I'll see if there's a problem there. But then it should be gloves, not corsets and harnesses. I created another MO2 profile with the only difference being UD 3.0 versus UD 2.1.1 and I see lag spikes while running outside with UD 3.0. This test eliminates OSL Aroused as a possible cause. For comparison on the PC system, this is a new laptop with i9 14900, 64GB RAM, 4090 GPU, 16GB VRAM. EDIT: I created another MO2 profile with a minimal mod list, primarily just UD 3.0 and its requirements. No lag spikes. It comes with screenshots and is very easy. I am somebody who usually does not add mods when playing (and I never remove them), so I just make one big master patch, stuff all DD armor items into that patch as an override, and apply the script to that one patch. Takes five minutes. Works great. I had one error that I had to fix manually, but I think the problem was actually in the original record and not the patching system.

scoul73 Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 Here are some comments on UD 3.0 (specifically, NB 20250519). Setup/Install: xEdit patching still works great. I did not need Synthesis. I did one master patch for my whole load order. UD did have a startup warning that I traced to a problem in one of the original mods that I was patching. A pair of devices from the DD-Lore patch had incorrect references in their deviceInventory and deviceRendered settings (they pointed to self when they should have pointed to the other). FWIW, I only knew how to fix it because I built a custom UD device and learned enough to think "wait, that looks backwards" when I investigated in xEdit. The error message was not specific enough to tell me how to fix it without that extra knowledge. But the actual problem had nothing to do with UD or UD patching. UI: I mostly like the new-and-improved UI, with a few notes below. All the extra color makes it a little over the top, but not in a bad way. I think that the 3.0 UI is a little slower than the 2.1.1 UI. It is pretty close, but there was just a little more lag on this one. Text bleeds off the right edge of the device list sometimes. For example, looking at a device now, i see "GOLD+ REG MAN SNT ITE", and then half of the "M" at the end of "ITEM". Based on another listing, I think the whole thing is "ITEM+", and I do not know if anything is after it. FWIW, I also don't know what all those terms mean. But I imagine I would figure it out with time. I like the difficulty summary on the first device screen, but I feel like I want more information and can't use it on its own. For example, the first screen summary says "You feel that device is more Vulnerable to brute force than magic", but the struggle screen summary says "You feel that device is Not resistant to brute force. You sense that device is Immune to magic.", which is much more useful. The details summary shows me that it has 10% physical resistance and 150% magical resistance. I feel like the first summary screen should be used to help the player pick an option without having to look at the details. So I think it should say something like "This device is slightly resistant to brute force and immune to magic", and then maybe a quick lock summary too. Then I think I could go into struggling or locks without needing to go into the details. Do devices have different resistance to normal struggle and desperate struggle anymore? I think I only see physical and magical resistance. The orgasm bar does not work at all. I tried the fixes mentioned earlier in the thread (disabling iWantWidgets, resetting the UI, moving areas, restarting the game, reloading saves) and none worked. Unchecking iWantWidgets, quit-and-reloading, resetting the AI, and quit-and-reloading again, let me to a general UI collapse where most icons went missing and others appeared in the wrong places. I could not fix it on that "save path" and had to back up a few saves. Arousal: Arousal fluctuates wildly. I had LewdMarks Aroused enabled during this test, which makes a tattoo glow at a certain arousal level. It was blinking on and off like crazy as I struggled with devices, and manual checks showed swings of 50 points within seconds. I do not know if this is because of UD or because of OSL Aroused. FWIW, I am not personally a fan of OSL Aroused mechanics. I am under the impression that most of the LL community still uses various types of SL Aroused, and I find it a curious choice whenever a new mod requires OSL Aroused. Maybe it is easier to work with for developers, but I don't think it is where the user base is? Devices: I have a custom device for UD 2.1.1 that uses 4x master-level locks and also has a key (custom built in the esp, plus a few custom scripts). It still works in UD 3.0, but the lockpicking minigame "crits" almost every second and does not seem to drain stamina at all. It isn't a problem for the device, but I am guessing there is a new difficulty modifier that defaults to easy when not set? I did the same first test for UD 3.0 that I did for UD 2.1.1 (trigger the lever trap in Bleak Falls Barrow). The device application happened normally, but my struggle attempts were producing almost no crits. I got zero crit opportunities when struggling out of the heavy bondage, on three different attempts in a row. I did get a struggle crit on the fourth attempt, but it had a very small effect. I did get lock crit opportunities for locking belts/bras and struggle crits on easy-struggle devices like blindfolds. It feels like the difficulty is scaled to produce fewer crits, and weaker ones, for harder devices. If that is true, I suggest reworking the system. When crits are not happening for an entire device struggle, there is no "minigame" anymore. Other: I did not get as far as testing the Abadon system. My inability to get the orgasm bar working means it would be frustrating to try it. If my reduced crit experience also happened on Abadon gear, it would be even more frustrating (but I did not test it). There is some solid potential and some good UI improvements in UD 3.0, but I think 2.1.1 gives a better "out of the box" experience for anyone starting a new game right now (and this would be true even if the orgasm bar was fixed). I will be happy to do some more in-depth testing when I can make the orgasm bar work, and I notice support for several features that I did not try at all, which also look interesting. 5

These are modifier tags that are bound to devices. Modififiers are simple device reactions to external stimuli. Tags are labels (characterization) of these reactions. Guest Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 Hi, Im having a "minnor" issue with the mod. Its working fine, except for the orgasm progress widget bar. Which appears when orgasm progres is higher than 0 but never fills up. Orgasm progress in character details seems fine (up to 60% in this attempt) just the widget bar not filling. All other bars (device health and condition) works fine, widget icons fine also. Any idea what could be happening?
