Punishment for failing a delivery quest, if it's working correctly, should include a whipping by the guard, then being bound/gagged and placed in a cage in the wilderness overnight, then being freed the next morning by the guard (but he leaves the armbinder/gag/etc on you).
Veladarius Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 There are currently 2 punishments: Failing the delivery quest: Whipped in the shop, some items added and sent to a cage in the wilderness (if you are liked well enough you are released instead of being sent to the cage). Backing out of Recovering a Stolen Delivery: A multi-day punishment - Day 1 - whipped outside then placed in one of the cages (straight to cage if late in the day), Day 2 - whipped outside (3 times) and placed back in the cage. Day 3 - brought back in, some items are placed on you and then released.
PubliusNV Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I'd never done the "backing out of recovering a stolen delivery" so I just tried it. Worked fine, with just one thing I thought I should mention. While chained and hung outside, my follower bumped into my PC, displacing her from the center of the punishment pillars, and when Herron went to whip her a second time, the animation didn't trigger (possibly because my follower was in the way). I reloaded from a saved game, left my follower behind, and went through it again with no glitches at all.

Senick Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 okay, having an issue...whenever I do the delivery quest, after giving away the package, whether by losing in the fight or simply giving it to the thieves, after they put the devices on my character she does the "knockdown" animation, the low health sound starts up and my camera freezes and the cursor disappears. I'm unable to move or adjust the camera...any ideas?
Debaster Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Just coming in to say YUSSSS new save and failed the delivery quest, no bugs or issues. BTW, is it random what devices you get from the bandits? The custom armbinder(which I assume you can't get out of) is pretty tough. I just had to go to Morthal but I still got lost trying to find my way back lol Yes, the items are added at random and you may not get some types of items. There are 2 different armbinders that may be used, 1 you can get out of (hand over the delivery or lose the fight without killing any of them) and the other can only be removed by the Master (given if you kill one or two of them and still lose the fight). If so you need the nodeferredkills script in the downloads.

If so you need the nodeferredkill script in the downloads. I am using both of those, but didn't think they were interfering because it worked previously and it happens even when I simply give it to them in dialogue, I'll try downloading that though and see what happens, thanks! JuliusXX Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I have some problems with the recovering of a stolen item. If I don't deliver it and get the punishment, my character doen't go into the cage. Whipping part works ok but when it's time to go into the cage my character only walks a circle and always stops outside the cage and always at the same place. I can fix this by moving my character with the command "setpos x -49550". Herran goes to the correct place so that is not a problem.

The first idea was to add it to one of the assistants but I chose to use a more realistic method by using a Business Ledger. At the moment i've got the following running It's a separate scriptfile and ESP so if anyone is interested I could upload it. Vel if you want to implement it in the upcoming CD release let me know, I'll send the files.

Regallag the Perv Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I've got an idea that might help with followers getting in the way of whipping; maybe you could dismiss all followers when punishment starts. I don't know if there's a reason to not do it, I'm just throwing out the idea.

I don't know if there's a reason to not do it, I'm just throwing out the idea. I have been considering what to do with them but have not had a chance to look into how Skyrim handles followers. I think that I can set the number of followers to 0 to dismiss them but was wondering if there is a way to identify them and make them do something instead. Built a short quest to do for the Smith yesterday, no bandits in this one though. It is a simple go here, give this to someone and bring something back and can only happen when you have run out of times that the smith will release you. In other news the Captured Dreams belts and collars are no longer able to be removed without a key (currently the lock can be picked like any other belt).
PubliusNV Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I'm not sure that setting the number of followers to 0 would work for those of us using AFT, EFF, or UFO. Since I'm using AFT, I can tell my follower to "Wait here for a moment" or "Dismiss but hang out here" to get around the problem, so it's not big problem for me.
naaitsab Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Well it would be a nice add on if your follower gets the whip and equipped with certain items and/or is "used" by another NPC while you are forced to watch. Because the follower can be anyone (think of mods) I think it would be very hard to let live animations/scripts run on a follower, not to mention multiple followers. Before the action starts your follower could be easily dismissed by code and let some message popup. Would be awesome if you have a dom follower who equips random stuff at random intervals, and do things like activate the vibration or pump the plugs
Srende Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Followers are a pain to work with. I don't think they're exactly listed anywhere, as vanilla supports only one at a time. But they all should be in the currentfollowerfaction. I've done some basic equipping for followers so far in helpless, just by going through the actors in the cell and checking if they are in that faction. Though I haven't really looked into it that much so if there is a better way I'd like to know as well ^^

This is also true for other mods that are supposed to do that. Is there a mod required for those to show up or am I just an idiot?

They are part of the ZAZ animation pack and included with the animation that is played. If they are not showing then the issue is with that.

Advertisements are triggered by leveling, 3rd level for the first and 6th for the second. Once you hit each of those it sets the courier to find you at a city. The questions are just dialogue but the dialogue that goes into it has a 24 hour cool down set on it. Since all the npc's dialogue filters through that question it should only be asked once per 24 hours no matter who you talk to.
