If you turn down Dr Hope's first request for serum, does she ever ask again? It has been a few days, and I only get the option to trade.

Yes, she will ask again.

I have seen this hair problem before where a dark line of hair goes from the NPC's head off screen into the distance.  It happened to me when I used Looksmenu to change an NPC's face and the NPC was not allowed to change headparts by the game.  So maybe you are not supposed to change Desdemona's head?

i tryed to change her head, but is look like its locked... damn, lemme see if i have an mod what change uniques... cait also look better then original. here must be an bodychange mod inside the list of 300 mods lol

If she takes too long, use the console to add the keyword "_ScienceInitial" to her.

RenameAnything uses the ExamineMenu.swf.  If any other mod loads after RenameAnything and also overwrites ExamineMenu.swf, you will have a problem with RenameAnything.

I notice the No-HuCow sleeping bag GG does not allow me to sleep on it. Same for Bed GG. I have never been a HuCow on this run.

Not sure NPCs can use them either - I had a lot standing around all night.

One the good side - I can use the HuCow sleeping mats just fine....

The player hucow cannot use the no-hucow furniture.  Non-hucow NPCs can use them just like normal furniture.  Issues with NPCs standing at night are base game issues.  Assign them to beds rather than waiting until the game gets it done.  Use the bed check to ensure that no hucows are assigned to regular beds and no settlers are assigned to hucow sleeping mats.  That game engine doesn't know there is a difference.

In this case, I am not a player HuCow. Just a normal PC. Sleep option is not there for me on GG furniture.

Some flag I can check to see why?

Ah, then you need to remove a keyword from the bed.  Do you know how to do that in the console?

The keyword is "blockplayeractivation".

I should probably make a player version of the no hucow beds, mattresses, and sleeping bags.

I tried using a nice two person bed but hucow disguise Emogene kept sleeping in it.

Would you be able to still allow gathering plants while the player is a cow?  Perhaps by adding an interaction button instead of replacing the default interaction?

Never mind.  You already did this in a newer version.

Hello GrimGrim31 and LL community,

I have a bit of an issue with this mod and despite my efforts I could not find a workaround yet.

While on the "assist Doctor Moreau to find a cure" quest I got stuck on the "find where Doctor Burr went with the cure injectors" stage.

I'm at Parson Creamery, I accessed the terminal there, I got the prompt for finding clues, I spoke with the Well Dressed Ghoul and with Lloris but I get nothing, no markers on the map or directions.

I can progress the quest  stages via console, I got the fight with the 3 deathclaws to happen, I can complete the whole quest via console, I'm just missing out on what I suspect is the more interesting part of the quest.

Could anyone give me an idea or a hint if not a solution, please. I looked for a walkthrough but could not find any.

Thanks!

Hi Thorwyn,

A terminal entry tells you to search the area NW of the Creamery.  You get an objective to "Find where Doctor Burr went".  The same entry also starts quest stage 60 and displays an objective marker.

Which stage(s) did you start via console?

Hi GrimGrim31,

First of all, thank you very much for responding!

After Med-Tek I'm getting the quest to head to Parsons Creamery and search for clues to a cure. I'm not getting a quest marker but found Parson Creamery, went there, got to the terminal, no previous visit to the Creamery. Also, Lloris gave me Experiment 134 Holotape after Med-Tek.

At the terminal I check Dr Burr's Logs, the Nov 5 one triggers stage progression, now it says to Find where Dr Burr went with the cure. From this point, I cannot progress. Please see the attached with some screens to support this. No quest markers, talking to the ghoul or Lloris doesn't help. I even went to find Dr Moreau again, but that did not help.

I'm at stage 60. I forced stages 70 and above via console, but aside of the 3 deathclaws I'm not getting anything other than the eventual quest completion.

I'm going to check NW of the Creamery, maybe something will nudge the quest.

Using Human Cattle v1.21.0. I don't see conflicts with any other mod. The markers may be a Fallout thing; we've seen this before.

Update:

I followed your advice, headed NW of the creamery, and found the abandoned trailer/bus.  Once there, I picked up the items and got the deathclaws to spawn "naturally". I read the note and checked the holotape. I got an update and a marker this time to see Dr Moreau, I gave him the items, waited a day, met him again, and completed the quest.

By knowing what needs to happen, you can go around the missing quest marker issue. As mentioned above, it may be a Bethesda thing, as I had quest markers not showing in both Fallout and Skyrim before. Once I find Vault 81, wherever it is, I will update you if I encounter any issues.

Many thanks for the tip (and, of course, for offering us all a new and amazing experience in FO4).

Based on your description, it sounds like two objective markers are not appearing for you.  Once you finish at Med-Tek, there should be a marker for Parsons Creamery.  Once you read the terminal entry at the Creamery, there should be a marker for Dr. Burr's body.  These are fairly recent additions (Version 1.26.5) to the quest since so many people were asking me where to go while doing the quest.

EDIT:  Also make sure that you have Doctor Moreau's quest, Assist Doctor Moreau to Find a Cure, selected in your Pipboy or the markers won't be displayed on your HUD compass.

That is correct, those two markers did not appear for me. The quest was selected. I even deselected everything, saved, restarted the game, and selected only this quest, redid Med_Tek, and still, no joy. Looking forward to seeing the continuation in Vault 81, which I haven't discovered yet.

Many thanks!

Update to the latest version. 1.26.6 ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. I did not notice I was already a few versions behind.  Do I need to do anything special when updating or just replace it? Some mod updates seem to require console commands, MCM settings, etc.

Since the actual fix, as I understand it, is to edit the meshes of the offending mod, none of the fixes will actually "fix" the brown face bug.

But, of all the ones I've used Rusty Face Fix Redux has been the most convent to use, and only works manually which has the added benefit of not using extra resources unnecessarily.

My method is to completely remove the mod, install the new version and make sure to keep it in the exact same load order spot.

If things get wonky then try a new game.

If you are using a version prior to 1.26.5.  there are no objective markers displayed for Parsons Creamery or Doctor Burr's body.

I have updated to 1.26.7, used a save I had just before Parsons Creamery but it still doesn't show markers for that old bus where the cure is. Now, this of course, may be less relevant without starting a new game.

Any chance that non-vanilla plants can be supported for feeding and eating as a player hucow?  Maybe there is a property to check to see if an item is a plant or is a plant harvested item?
