Not very smart about all of this, but when I get close to the door, after finishing the convo with Falstomo my PC is getting raped/gang raped, could that be the issue? Also, I hit the tild key I think its called and typed in the command, nothing happened. Not sure I need to add Player.coc or something like that? I really hope this helps you in some way and Thank you very much for all of your amazing work on this mod. I've played through the first and second quests with Zero issues and finished the Riften quest line, everything just works :)

I had the same issue, but since I have a mod that lets me move items, I figured out that your mod's embassy door was hidden behind the default door. Default door is locked, your door is not. So when I moved the default door to the side, I could enter the quest embassy. (Hope info is helpful :) )

Ah, I did not, no. Went back to right before I entered the Headquarters. I will keep it in mind for next time I do this quest ^^

I had this issue as well.  It's not that the door is not getting unlocked correctly, it's that the door to the real embassy is still there and is blocking the door to your copy of the embassy, which is correctly unlocked.

Ha, I restarted from an earlier save to test this and this time it worked great !  (so, the Thalmor aggressiveness _is_ fixed in 0.942).  Now on the Party Favor part of the quest..  Thank so much for you responsiveness and all the amazing work!

Fun quest ! I am now at the Thalmor Embassy, Elenwen's Solar (after killing the guard in the dungeon) and the journal says I should look for Torygg's Signet ring in the residence. However, I cannot find it .. there are three doors that require a key but I don't have any key either so I'm stuck. Not sure if it is a bug or if I didn't look hard enough yet 🙂

Ring it is on the top floor locked in Display Cases. It looks like this:

I checked and the vanilla front door to the Thalmor Embassy was being disabled on the stage where you complete the dialogue with the Emissary after the scene upstairs in the Thalmor Headquarters. However, the Diplomatic Immunity quest is very complex and has all kinds of triggers and weirdness (e.g., soldiers start dead and are resurrected rather than just enabling them!). Also, the Diplomatic Immunity quest has all kinds of "failsafe" code where things are being enabled multiple times. So... in the new version 0.943 just posted, I added a second disable command on the vanilla front door to the Embassy at the stage where you finish the dialogue with the doorman, Falstomo. That should take care of things. But, this is working for me (pre- and post-Diplomatic Immunity), so it's hard for me to test.

 

In any case, the vanilla door is enabled again at the end of the quest, so it shouldn't interfere with a later run Diplomatic Immunity quest. (It doesn't in my playtesting anyway.) This is the same door-swapping technique used in many other places in the mod (Riften Warehouse, Redbelly Mine, Cragslane Cavern, Purewater Run, Thalmor Headquarters, etc.), so it should work fine.

 

If this doesn't fix it, I'll have to just "teleport" players through the front door after speaking with Falstomo. (He could walk over to the door as if to open it.) I could also pull the mod-added front door out a bit so its not blocked by the vanilla door, but overlapping textures flicker and look bad.

Started from a clean save, done Riften etc ,Managed to complete without consul commands, no problems except was attacked just as I was about to enter the embassy itself, so only took one hit, dunno where it came from,

You probably do not have an animation or it has not been registered in SexLab.

I've grabbed the update and will let you know if this fixes the issue with the door.

 

I appreciate you looking into this and providing a quick turn around with fix.

If the priestess in the Hall of the Dead in Markarth didn't force greet you -- on the way back out of the inner area -- then the quest didn't start right and you should go back to a save before the conversation with the Jarl of Markarth. If you have a quest marker pointing to the Hall of the Dead after that conversation, then the quest started correctly.

Did that just show up with the new versions (v0.94+) or did that happen before? Who is supposed to be following you when it happens - Dremora male or Dremora female?

Which version of the mod were you running when you were attacked by the Embassy?

Ah, but I cannot get to the top floor -- I think it is behind doors that require a key -- but I don't have such key 😞  I wonder if I should have gotten it from the guy I tied to the bed? (I replayed that part but still no key)
