Thanks. That all sounds right, except there should be a ZaZ post right in front of you - which you then have to activate. I'm using ZaZ 8.0 as well and the post shows up reliably. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks for the note. Please use new version 0.941 just posted. It disables the Thalmor guards that may attack PC at the Thalmor Embassy exterior (and then re-enables them when you leave for later quests).  To enable this fix, you don't have to restart the Solitude quest, but you do have to start with a save before the dialogue with the Emissary in the Thalmor Headquarters in Solitude.

Hi @Gristle, great update! Thank you for your hard work!

 

I played the two first parts of the solitude quest. I like the story and the implementation!

I encountered 3 bugs so far and I was able work around them with console commands.

  1.   “setstage blzr_solitude 70”

    speaking with Balazar did not progress the quest to next stage after the dialogue ended. Speaking to Balazar again only repeated the dialogue again.

  2. Aggressive thalmore guards after speaking to the woman on the carriage. Workaround was the god mode console command (“tgm”). This was reported by other players and is patched with the newest patch.

  3. “setstage blzr_solitude2 440”

    Again, speaking with Balazar did not progress to next stage. Balazar endlessly force greets the PC, whenever the PC is nearby.

My save is quite advanced, I have done almost all quests, but I did not progress the civil war quest line. My load order contains 700 mods, so the bugs I encountered could be the result of mod conflict.

It was my problem, I had the animation pack 8.0 rev2. I downloaded ZaZ animation pack 8.0 + (the plus is important), run FNIS and now it works.

Thanks,but It doesn't works for me, I had the same problem as Valauthiel.

It isn't happen at Thalmor Embassy but in Solitude, after talking to Elisif she asked me to go to The Thalmor Headquarters ask about entertainment work at an Embassy party, when I entered The Thalmor Headquarters the soldiers and the wizard started to attack me.

Gave it a try, but as Thanatoskaja mentioned, the issue is with the headquarters in Solitude, haven't gotten to the Embassy itself yet :D And they were still hostile. Also; thanks for quick response, really appreciate your mod, and your effort :D

I found 1 problem:
- If we teleport from Forgotten Vale (yes for some reason we can), we can find Elisif on the Throne instead of in her room

 

Additionally, Jordis' dog is not named Tiber, but only Stray Dog

Love the Mod so far but, I'm stuck  with the second quest. How exactly do I "Gain Balazar favor with the Yarl of Riften". I've done everything that involves becoming  his Thane including giving him sexual favors (playing as a female ofc);)  However, I don't see any chat option to start the quest. Plz advise. Thx ;) P.S. I've got Balazar in

his true form

I'm wondering if I have to approach the Yarl with Balazar prior to fulfilling his  quest to kill the bandit leader

Problems 1 and 3 are likely caused by your PC removing the collar Balazar gave you. There were three dialogue options at each of those stages depending on which Balazar collar you were initially wearing. So, if you weren't wearing a Balazar collar at the first of these, the needed dialogue to advance the quest wouldn't appear at either stage. In the version 0.942 just posted, I made it work if you are carrying a collar but don't have it equipped and, as a fail safe, also added a fourth dialogue option for PC's that aren't even carrying a collar.

Thanks for the note. I clarified in the description that 8.0+ is required.

The aggressive Thalmor in the Thalmor Headquarters in Solitude should be fixed in the version 0.942 just posted. I don't know why they were peaceful for me (they don't like your PC I guess 😂), but they are set as unaggressive now.

The Jarl of Riften should have a dialogue option to start the quest. It's not dependent on Riften quests or Riften Thane status, and should work with either Riften Jarl. The only requirements for the Jarl dialogue to be there are 1) completing Balazar's quest of revenge against the temple of Clavicus Vile, and 2) having Balazar in Dremora form with you when you speak to the Riften Jarl.

Ah, they are still immediately attacking me even with version v0.942  😞  

 

When I use the console, I can first do `tgm` to toggle god mode, and then select the NPC's (scroll to get the right ID, the NPC ones end in 60, 61, 62 I think), and use `stopcombat` to stop the combat, and `setav aggression 0` to stop the NPC from being aggressive. This makes them peaceful but the I cannot progress from here as the NPC that I am supposed to talk to get work to get into the party is not having any dialogue (just generic responses). Is there a command I can use to progress the quest here?

 

Using the command `player.addtofaction 00039F26 1` (add to Thalmor faction) before going in fixed this for me.

 

Thanks for all your hard work -- super fun to get a new quest again (I just replayed Riften and Markath last week 🙂 )

I was able to navigate past the hostile Thalmor by adding my player to the Thalmor faction with player.addtofaction ThalmorFaction 1 as they seem to be copies of the guards from the interior portion of the embassy who are always hostile to the player.

Awesome, this worked for me and I can continue the quest. The command I used was

player.addtofaction 00039F26 1

They clearly don't xD Might be cause she's a nord. Sadly 0.942 didn't fix it, but did what the people above did, and added myself to the Thalmor faction, so now I can carry on with the quest :D

Currently stuck in "The Party Favor" quest.

I'm at the Embassy and after talking to Falstomo, I am unable to enter the Embassy. 
The door is locked showing that it requires a key.

 

What am I missing? 
I did talk to Corwen and she is following me into the party.

Version 0.942 takes the Thalmor in the Thalmor Headquarters out of the "ThalmorFaction" and makes them "Unaggressive". BUT... this is done by script. And specifically it is done by script in the last quest stage before you enter the Thalmor Headquarters. And that quest stage is triggered at the end of the dialogue by the whipping post with Elisif. So, this leads to the question, when testing v0.942, did you go back to a save before that conversation with Elisif?
