LonelyIsTheNight Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Are you "thing i'm clearly doing right now"? That's like begging for a sarcastic answer For example Are you washing the dishes? -No, I'm trying to see how long I have to rub this sponge to remove the molecules that make up the plate. Are you playing? -No, i'm watching a gameplay with my controller on to make it more Immersive. Are you going to the bathroom? -No, I'm going to masturbate! 1

I want to add this to the pool of "questions that are begging for a sarcastic answer": Why do you need <thing with obvious functionality>? Â For example: Why do you need the keys? - Because I hurt myself breaking the windows and now I want to try something new. Â Why do you need a pen? - Because I need to poke out my eyes after watching the new Star Wars TV show. Â Why do you need a screwdriver? - Because those screws don't drive themselves. Â Why do you need your glasses? - Because I don't want to run over any more things. Â Why do you need a chainsaw? - Because... wait... that's actually a good question. The guy in this video (link starts at the time signature just before he does it) says "regulated" and I am pretty sure he means "religated." He does say "regulated" but he does not mean "religated"Â - it's "relegated" and neither "regulated" nor "relegated" fit the context. "Restricted" might have been better. Â =========== Â "Going forward" and "In the moment". Then there's the latest batch of hyperbolic nonsense - "bodied", "destroyed", "owned", "burned" etc., etc. "Egregious" doesn't seem to be as popular as it was. Â Edit: "Pivot" - mostly used incorrectly. Â Americans saying "American Revolution" and "American Civil War". "American War of Independence" would be better for the first one but both are wars of secession. Â Â Edited August 22, 2024 by Grey Cloud

RedHeadAngel Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 "Like, literally...." This annoys me so much.
KoolHndLuke Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Every little smart-ass, mocking remark in F: London from basically all npcs. Not sure why the Folon team wanted to show that Londoners are cunts too. But my PC will finish what the bombs started when I've had enough, lol. 1

At this point, "literally" is just a word for emphasis than anything related to its original meaning. Kind of like how "awesome" now means "neat" or "impressive" instead of "awe inspiring to the point of reverence." That evolution of language shit literally kills me figuratively. 1

RedHeadAngel Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 "Well, I have 1,000 mods installed, and I don't have that problem!" Â Well, good for you. That doesn't mean a damn thing. I installed the mod exactly how you said, but I am having that problem. Â I swear, when people say that, it makes me want to reach through the screen and smack the piss out of them. 3

NymphoElf Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 I'm sick of people saying Vortex is a bad mod manager. There are so many incorrect claims about Vortex I can't stand it. 1
FauxFurry Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Money is the Root of All Evil. Â The abstracted value that money represents can gain one power when amassed and it is that power that enables evils on a larger scale than would otherwise be possible. All of the ills of pre/non-industrial bartering based societies or post-materialist collectives/cults should be enough to demonstrate how incorrect the phrase is on the face of it. Â Wherever there is an imbalance of power, there is an opportunity to do evil. Even when power is exactly equal, there is motivation to do evil. 1

These are the people that need to go on fora to ask for help because their mod organizer is too complicated and doesn't function properly. 😄 Next time just keep that in mind. AKM Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 1 hour ago, KoolHndLuke said: Evidently what you say when you have no sensible argument and feel challenged. There's a lot of truth to that. When one can't fathom that someone else came to a different conclusion, yet you can't articulate the whys and hows of your arrival at your conclusion, the usual fallback is to resort to petty grade-school level bullshit, such as name calling. At this point, that's pretty much all it is. "Your choices are either 1. Follow the crowd or 2. Get your ability to operate destroyed due to unfounded accusations." Honestly, when you sit people down after they've made an accusation such as that and ASK them to describe, explain, interpret the accusation that they JUST made of you, a stupidly high amount can't do it. Worse, they will immediately intensify that attack for being called out on their bullshit. The ONE thing that will change this is to even attempt to have an unbiased conversation about an issue that is being approached from different angles, but even within my family, I have learned that there is a very strong interest in NOT discussing. Why? Probably because people - of all beliefs - are afraid that if they rationally discuss it, they might discover that GASP! they were wrong this whole time! Anyway: A boss/business owner/etc. talking about how they work "with their employees". Technically not incorrect (especially under conditions where you see them doing the work as well, mor often than not), yet technically also completely incorrect. 1
