Things that you're SICK of people SAYING.

Most complaints and rants about the AI generated stuff. Here's the stuff that I usually see and why I think it's dumb:

1. It's more low effort trash on the internet

The internet is so full of absolute garbage that it's like spitting on a mountain of rancid hot trash. From reaction and "paranormal" videos on YouTube with dudes trying to talk with ghosts using a fucking phone app (that's spewing out unrelated nonsense lol) to BLAKC WITERAN GOURD ARMER RETEXTUR mods. Or in case of Fallout 4 some basic bitch preset or body mod that could be renamed to "I discovered women 2 days ago and my penis feels funny". And basic stat edits that anyone can do in CK. That's still less than 1% of all the junk on the web. There are also shitty fucking OCs and fursonas that look like they were drawn by a 6 year old. No, it's not "magically better and unique and beautiful in its own way and ehhh ;D" because it was hand drawn by a human. If you think it's better then that's fine, but for most people it's still le garbaj.

2. People are selling it, "I'm ok with it as long as you don't sell it"

Creation Club trash, garbage mods for sale, basic nudes for sale, low effort porn for sale, hell even someone's used UNDERWEAR is for sale so someone can jack off to it. And that's fine, it's your money and you can do whatever the fuck you want with it. Yes, it would be pretty much gone if people wouldn't pay for it. Go ahead and find those people to tell them "don't spend your money on it because I personally don't like it".

3. AI sucks at generating art, it makes poorly drawn malformed monstrosities

It's because most people are literally too fucking lazy and/or stupid to figure out how prompts work. Anyone can do it, it's piss easy, there are plenty of pictures on the internet with prompts used to generate them that you can use as example to see how it works. AI generated doesn't mean fucking magic, you still have to put some effort into it.

That's like me saying that Photoshop is useless garbage because I made a simple stick man in it using the default brush.

The first one isn't THAT dumb, it's still more and more trash, but it feels like those people are overreacting. It's kinda new, I recently discovered it therefore OMG it's the worst. NEW BAD, OLD GOOD. Robot man bad. Someone posted a picture of a three legged woman with fucked up ogre hands, the internet is unusable now. I tried nothing and immediately gave up, therefore it sucks.

The contrast is even sharper among gamers. They defend their gaming corporations like their life depends on it.

Have to agree with that one. The Cult of Larian is alive and well over on the Larian BG3 forum. They all seem to think they are on first name terms with the head of Larian - Swen Vincke. The game is four months old and is now on Patch 5 with many thousands of bugs fixed but that is not Larian releasing a shit show of a game (on PC, PS5 and Mac) that is Larian being so responsive and concerned about their customers. I should add that several of the patches have resulted in even more problems and have therefore required a couple of hotfixes toot-bloody-quick.

If it was Microsoft the pearl-clutching would off the scales.

Edit: While I was typing this post Larian released another post-Patch 5 hotfix. Patch 5 only dropped last Thursday. Patch 5 was 30GB requiring 130 of free disk space. ? Only 23 patching day to Christmas.

I'm here for it. The only dumber phrase that I can think of that humanity has come up with is Bob's your uncle, although that one hasn't been used in at least a decade. You might as well say I'm here, for it doesn't really add anything. No, I thought you were on a different planet telling a machine on earth to type that.

If one speaks it in the sense of a place, a location, sure it's dumb, but I think the actual saying pertains moreso to, for examples, "This thing which interests me is prevalent and others may not be so invested in it but I'm here for it" making it a more "supply and demand" relating thing to say, if it makes sense, and that being regardless of what it is the "thing" in question is.

It can be something intangible like chaos ensued by certain events and someone enjoying it, laughing in Muhahas, being there for it because it tickles their fancy; or something more physical, which could be mistakenly ordered pineaple pizza and someone in the bunch of pizza chuggers happens to like it.

I think it's generally, at least when well used, to point out whatever may not catter to the tastes of the majority of a group isn't a complete waste as it can still be beneficial to at least some in or adjacent to said group.

Also, my sympathies for all uncles named Bob, apparently you're the shame of your nephews and nieces. Shame on you, you Bob.

All the while my fundraiser have zero bitcoin in it. The players want 6000+ hours of work for free.

That's why I stopped giving a fuck for the public. Today I found some players asking for help for a derivative mod I released 4 years ago, and that I now regard as "training". I only keep it in the Nexus in order to be able to access GMAD and read the toxic stuff there.

They are met with silence. If they want help desk, they better start paying, specially when there are people on Patreon making $1000 per month by only selling a pdf list with links (and zero effort put into actual authoring).

When feeling down in the dumps, people have said to me...."Just get Over it"... like snapping one's fingers and poof...it's a sunny day.  F'ing freaks!

Advertisements. Just in general.

What has been bugging me lately is when the ads say "America's #1" whatever the hell they're advertising. Problem is so many companies do that I'm surprised they aren't sued for false advertising or something like that. The thing about being #1 is that there can only be one. No participation trophies for these dipshits.

Lately one of the billboard I've seen said something like "Who decides what is right or wrong?" What a dumb question. Your nation's government decides what is right or wrong. These people need to go back to preschool because clearly they haven't learned the first time. I won't say who was advertising but a company deciding what is right or wrong sounds very much like a dictatorship.

"Open concept"  -real estate, home interior. "Open" already conveys the meaning. Adding concept is unnecessarily, repetitively redundant. About as useful as saying "Closed concept".

"Immersive"  -games, modding. Nothing really wrong with the word itself, just worn out from over-use. I suggest "verisimilitude" instead.

"Begin your journey today."  -marketing, advertising. No thanks, I just want a simple exchange of goods and services.

People who use the word 'sentient' when they clearly intend the meaning of 'sapient.' The vast majority of human knowledge is literally in your hand. If it is something as definitive as the meaning of a word, then there is zero excuse for failing to spend one minute looking it up before you intend to use it. I accept that language evolves, but letting the lazy masses, who don't give a crap, redefine words that they just can't be bothered to learn is not acceptable to me. I don't mind 'rizz' though. Saw someone disliking it, but I think it's fun to say and is (to me, at least), a reasonable shortening of it's origin word.
