interfer0n Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 When installing/activating devious devices - integration, NMM prompts me that MoreNastyCritters has already installed meta.ini file. So, it asks me to overwrite with devious devices integration meta.ini file... Do I say Yes and overwrite? Or say No to mod? Thanks.

Slorm Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 stupid question alert! where can i find a key for the slut collar? Wrong thread, the slut collar is from Deviously Cursed Loot. There isn't a key for it in any case, it releases itself once the conditions set in the MCM have been met.

Thanks. meta.ini is a file for MO, to provide some data like the installed version. So you just can overwrite like you want, if using NMM. Or you can safely delete the file completely, if you desperately need a few more kB on your drive xD

Xuberant Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I'm going to try this again, seeing as how I really want this mod to work and at present it simply won't. I'm having a problem with the different devices simply not appearing in game. They are invisible when worn and do not have a preview in the shop lists. The exception to this appears to be the Red, White and Black Ebonite devices, who all appear to work as they should, strangely enough. I did not post my load order last time, so I will this time from a "test" setup I've run to try and identify the problem, as such this does not have a crazy amount of mods. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! (This is the Mod order suggested by LOOT.) I'll even take random shot-in-the-dark suggestions at this point. ramoratti Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 hello all is this the mod which allows the player to equip NPC's with devious devices? if so, i have a bug report: the NPC's with an equiped harness wear their normal clothes again if the PC leaves the area and enters it again. is there any way to prevent that? play happy

A couple of things: 1) LOOT can be great for giving you a starting point for your load order, but it doesn't recognise many adult mods and doesn't give the optimum order for them. I would personally suggest having SOS above SexLab, because both include PapyrusUtil but SexLab has the more up-to-date version, so unless you're installing PapyrusUtil separately after both of them you want SexLab overwriting Schlongs. EDIT: the more recent versions of SOS include the option not to install its own PapyrusUtil, but the below order is still what I'd recommend. My own load order for the adult master files, which has always worked perfectly, is: SOS ZaZ SexLab Aroused (Redux) DD Assets DD Integration DD Expansion 2) For the missing items, the fact your red, white and ebonite items work and the others don't suggest DD Expansion is installed fine but there's a problem with your installation of DD Assets. I'd try reinstalling DD Assets from scratch. You say you're missing menu meshes as well as worn meshes. The go.nifs (ground object nifs that appear in menus and for items in the game but not worn) are in the 00 Core folder of the DD Assets archive. The meshes that you would actually wear are in the optional folders: the three folders that start with 01 (CBBE, UNP and UNP Skinny.) These contain all of the meshes needed for each of those bodies if you don't want jiggle. The other folders, beginning with 02, contain jiggle-ified meshes for each body. When you say you have all the nif files included from the zip do you mean the ones for your chosen body, or all of them? When you look at the file tree of DD Assets through MO there should be no 00 Core folder, and none of the 01 or 02 folders. On the top level there should just be meshes, scripts and textures folders along with the esm and a meta.ini file (usually created by MO when you install.) The meshes folder should contain the following paths: meshes/devious/clutter (containing two "bookDrawings" nifs) meshes/devious/devices (containing 78 nifs and the koffii folder) meshes/devious/devices/koffii (containing 19 nifs and a license.txt file) So let's say, for example, you want standard non-jiggle UNP. In the installer you'd select UNP followed by the non-jiggle option. The installer should then install the contents of the 00 Core folder, then merge in the contents of the 01 UNP folder. If you wanted the jiggle version, you'd select UNP, then the TBBP option, and the installer would install 00 Core, merge in 01 UNP and then merge in/overwrite with the contents of 02 TBBP (UNP) If you try this with the installer and you're still not getting visible devices then try doing it manually. 00 Core is effectively the data folder, containing the go meshes, scripts, textures and the esm. Make a copy of that folder and copy/paste the contents of your chosen body's folder - for example 01 UNP - into it and merge/overwrite where necessary. Then copy/paste the contents of the matching jiggle option folder if you want it - in this example 02 TBBP (UNP) - again merging/overwriting when prompted. Now zip up your 00 Core folder, install that manually into MO (top left button) rename it to something that makes more sense - like DDa 2.9.0 - and see if that works.

Hey, thank you for the swift response! I tried making a manual zipfile like you suggested and it fixed half of my problems. The meshes are now appearing in game ON the characters, but I still do not have the inventory appearance and nothing appears when I drop it on the ground in the game world. What I did is, I pasted the contents of the 01 UNP folder into the 00 Core folder and rezipped it using 7z, then added that to MO in place of the fomod installed version of DDa. That did make all the meshes (at least I think so, haven't seen them all yet) appear on the characters. You said the go.nif files were in the Core folder, and looking at the DDa manual install in MO I do have the paths you mention (meshes/devious/clutter/ with two bookdrawing .nif's. So they are definitely in there, but do not appear in the game world. (The meshes from .../meshes/devices are also there). Worth noting that the ebonite items "do" appear in the world when dropped and in the inventory preview. I am half way there and really appreciate the help, you've already helped me get a lot further than I did on my own after days of trying. EDIT: Further testing reveals that not all of the items do appear on the body after all. Many of them do though, and I can't find a simple pattern like the ebonite one from before. The chastity belts I tried did show up, as did the cuffs and the chastity bras etc, but some of the blindfolds do not and none of the plugs/vibrators. It could be a coincidence, but it seems persistent through loading new cells.

The go.nifs for the devices themselves should all be in the folder: meshes/devious/devices, with the restrictive gear go.nifs in: meshes/devious/devices/koffii. The reason they're in the 00 Core folder is that they don't need to fit any body type because they're never worn, so they should be installed without the need of conversions for everyone, whatever body they use. If they're in those two folders I'm not sure why they aren't showing up. Most devices should have three nifs. One ending in "_0" for the min weight version, one ending in "_1" for the max weight version and one ending in something like "go" for the ground object/menu item. (Off the top of my head I can't remember if the DD ones use "go" or "gnd") There will be some things - like the plugs, vaginal piercing and, I think, the yoke - that only have one main nif plus the go, because one size fits all. With all of those nifs combined, you should have 78 in meshes/devious/devices and 19 in meshes/devious/devices/koffii.

I just counted to make sure, and i do indeed have 78 meshes in the ...meshes/devious/devices/ folder in MO. Most of them having the _0, _1 and _go.nif along with the name of the item they represent. Example: armbinder01_0.nif, armbinder01_1.nif and armbinder01_go.nif. I've been running around trying things out and only a very few items have any trouble showing on the character, while most of the certainly do. It's certainly playable like this, though the ground item and appearance in inventory would have been a great help to identify the variants available. If you can think of no reason why they still do not show up, then I will just live with it until someone comes along with a potential solution. You've been tremendous help, and regardless if we figure this out, I just want to say thank you
Mord Sif Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 You're welcome, Xuberant. It does sound like you have all the nifs in the proper places, so I'm confused why they don't show up if nothing is overwriting them. Sorry I wasn't able to help with everything, but at least you can be nicely bound up now

Xuberant Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 After extended testing, it's apparent that the still missing meshes are all the collars, all the plugs and vibrators. Everything else seems fine, and no matter what I do I can't make the items appear on the ground or in the inventory windows. This seems like such a strange problem to have, and if anyone is still actively making dreams come true, then I'd love some additional help to make this wonderful mod work to it's fullest.

A while back another poster had similar problems, we went over and ruled out the usual suspects (outdated conversion mods usually beeing the culprit), and it turned out to be an error in how they had set up Mod Organizer. I don't recall what the issue was as i'm not familiar with MO, but it might give you a place to start looking.
Coffinmeat Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Not sure this is the right place but I am lost. I update to the latest version of Assets, integration and expansion and suddenly the soul gem nipple piercings went invisible. not inside the body just invisible. I still get the vibration effects. I thought perhaps the slot changed so I crafted a new set and tried them on an NPC. Still invisible. I've gone to the menu and looked at the hidden section and they are all lists as not set, basically disabled. is this the right place to seek help? If not where should I go, and has anyone seen this issue before?

Vaginal piercings, nipple piercings and the armbinder all use different slots than the previous version. Are you using a conversion for a non-officially-supported body? If so, it will need to be updated to match. (It might be a case of just opening up the meshes in nifskope and changing the slot.) Or are you using DD for males? That mod is now out of date and incompatible unfortunately. The new slots are: Vaginal piercings: 50 Nipple piercings: 51 Armbinder/Yoke: 46

Edit: While I am at it, is there a better place to find help for this issue? If you are using the newest bodyslide version of the CT77 body preset I'd recommend trying TopToper's conversion here. That's the one I'm currently using at least, it doesn't have belly node support but it seems to work well for the major clipping items like the new restraining gear. There is currently no official bodyslide conversion, so you should take problems you have after you use a conversion to that conversion's thread.
Coffinmeat Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Well I downloaded the mod recommended and poof the soul gem nipple piercings appeared. Now however the harness keeps flickering in and out. I started a new character using skyrim bound, so I could assign gear and in that character although it says I am wearing it, what shows up on the character is the chastity belt. Like somehow the graphics engine is calling for the wrong item or something. Totally confusing. Edit: Spelling and : OK maybe a reason. Somehow I clicked on chastity belt and custom harness (the one that prevents wearing of any other clothes) when starting Skyrim Bound and I think they might be mutually exclusive although both show as worn in the inventory screen. Does anyone know if a character can wear both at the same time? It may be that the program is simply updating and if they are mutually exclusive it is loading one over the other. I think I am coming to the conclusion that mods do not always play well together and that the stress of never knowing if things are working the way they should is a result of having too many. But darn it they each add an new element of difficulty I am loath to give up. Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts.
briancs159 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Hello, I just got back into the skyrim after a few years so I'm new to the Devious Devices mods. I've been testing it out to make sure everything works and so far so good. Great job so far! Quick question though. I'm sorry if this has been asked before. Are the arm and leg cuffs supposed to do anything? The cuffs seem like the kind that are supposed to include a 1-2 foot chain tying them together to hobble the wearer. I know new animations are out of the question and thats not my question. I was thinking more toward debuffs of somekind. The cuffs don't seem to do anything bad to my character and the townspeople don't notice and they don't act any differently either. I know about the whole roleplay aspect but if there is no negative effect what is my rush into trying to get them off? I haven't actually played with them for very long so maybe I'm missing something or a different mod. If this is normal then feel free to disregard this post.

I was thinking more toward debuffs of somekind. The cuffs don't seem to do anything bad to my character and the townspeople don't notice and they don't act any differently either. Deviously Helpless mod adds some extra effects so that arm cuffs can cause you to fumble your weapon and leg cuffs can trip you up
SamJaa Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) When wearing the armbinder, the player/characters stand with their arms out and no hands. When cuffed, characters stand with arms out. Struggling with the armbinder has no animation. FNIS is installed correctly, as I use the spells which even contain bondage poses. I have devious assets, expansion, and integration v2.9.0. I have zaz v0604, as well as zaz resources, I have the skeletal mod FNIS recommended, I have sexlabs and aroused, I have run the FNIS exe over and over, which often tells me zaz is missing animations but still instal over 1,500 new animations, I have ordered the mod order the way TESEdit said, and reinstalled everything 3 times. What am I doing wrong? (I can't figure out how to get a papyrus log, no matter how much I google it) Edited April 10, 2015 by SamJaa

(I can't figure out how to get a papyrus log, no matter how much I google it) sorry for bad English (not my natural ). 1. go to the MCM menu from Sexlab and use the reinstall / clear funktion, then exit the menu and wait for the succesfull message. 2. enter MCM Menu for zaz and use the register /clean future ? (i think so) that help by my game. <cu> Vampi
Discord12 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Help! I just started a new game and all my Devious MCM menus are gone, except for DD helpess and DD captures. The Main DD MCM and the For the Masses are missing. What could have caused this?! I did install a couple of new mods: Angelic Temptress Further Lovers Comfort Tundra Defence Guild Starter Hunterborn But I dont see how any of those could cause this =( DD seems to work fine otherwise, at least other Mods seem to recognize its installed... Except "DD restrained". Another big issue I have with the mod even before this MCM bug turned up is that the DD_ZAP_XY Sex Animation break the Sexlab ability to switch to the next animation. I can cycle through Animation in a sex scene with the Sexlab Hotkey no problem, until I hit a DD_ animation, at which point I can only progress the scene until its over....
