Correct, basically you can choose one of the different modes on the inital dialogue:

- Normal

- Hesitant / trial - > normal or stop after a week

- Permanent if virgin

- Part time

 

Part time is basically normal, where you can ask for breaks. Both can lead to permanent depending on later choices.

EDIT: Okay, so I figured that something was blocking the conversation from happening and I was right. I took three mods that I thought might be interfering with the conversation coming up, and deleted them, then cleaned the save: Amorous Adventures, Troubles of Heroine, and Devious Vanilla. Sure enough that fixed it. I'm not sure which one was doing it, but it might have been something to do with a conversation showing up after marriage about some character (bully/former lover) in my wife's past. Anyway, if someone else has this problem and has one of these mods installed, it might help if they remove them.

 

So far loving the mod. The way the mistress treats the pet is exactly the kind of stuff that I like. Nice work!

 

for future reference it's the troubles of the heroine that was blocking the move to x place after getting married. i had the same problem until i started a playthrough without that mod. troubles of the heroine made changes that added a general event in 2 parts on the whole marrage sequence 1.spouses old friend/bully and 2.jarls getting to sleep with the wife side enacting the old king gets first bedding of newly married couple

I did some more testing and found a couple of issues with some events (marking as spoilers, don't want to give away any surprises ;)  )

The following inns I've tested are not advancing the scene in sleeping events, specifically they will not tie the PC to the pole.  The follower and PC will move next to the pole and continuously move around it.
-The Bannered Mare (whiterun)
-The Bee and Barb (riften)

Grey Pine Goods shop in Falkreath has a clipping issue with furniture placed in the Shop Display event.  I saw the furniture and its an awesome idea!  Just couldn't get the camera unclipped from the furniture :/ 


Also more ideas (I'm sure your notebook is chalk full of them, this is such a cool mod) for the future-
Hunting event:  Your follower decides to go on a hunt while in the wilderness, and you are too much of a risk to go with and ties you to a tree along side of the road.  Perhaps a few travelers find you and decide to have some fun while the follower is away...
Jarl event: (extra long, MCM time adjustable event)  Your follower wants to gain favor with the Jarl in this city, and loans you to the keep for X days.  Your follower might check on you halfway to see if you want to be let go early.  During which you are put on display in a number of places within the keep or city-
-on a pole in front of the Jarl's bed
-next to the jarl's throne
-Outside the keep gate or city gate to encourage travelers to visit
-Guards need some motivation (displayed inside the barracks)
-hogtied on the table during meals
-in the main courtyard

Hi, thx for updating your mod. Got some small problems, when you choose adjust time scale it stop after some time, like 3-5h. I use command. Time scale with command stop right in time when scene shoud start (3.30 am for example), so no problem here. Also here don't start amination with sleeping on the floor, idk maybe i miss something on SE version, all other animations work fine. 

And about ideas, from old topic i remember one, what i like.. Pet can remove collar and cuffs without problems, maybe total conrol on keys or something else?

I've seen that same thing happen with various items from DD. Seems to have a chance to happen after unequipall is triggered by something at least. I've seen it happen after using the favourites presets in SkyUI, set to remove existing items for example. No idea how to fix it though.

The events stop the speedup when some scene should occur. If nothing is happening after a few minutes, I'd guess some NPC got stuck somewhere, seems to be the most common problem.

In display, your spouse will be in the backroom enterntaining some of the customers, this also keeps you inside so the scenes are somewhat visible. That also depends on the shop and where they have the beds.

 

In assistant, there are different variants, with you inside or outside, and the spouse staying in or going out.

5) After an even longer while, the event ended (my character just stood there the whole time). The X-Cross disappeared. Mistress had a dialogue with my character, the restraints got removed, but I did not get back the controls. I had to use the Zaz MCM to get back the control.

 

I'm wondering if I'm the only one with these problems.

 

PP v2.1.1 SE

I could test it now in 2 other scenarios, in the Drunken Huntsman, both inside and outside.

 

It is the same unfortunately. My character never goes into the furniture, and I never get back the control at the end of the event.

 

I also heard again the "You need to leave" at 4 PM from Belethor. It happened Mistress' first dialog with Belethor, after she told my character to "Follow me". He stopped saying it when the next dialog, about the outfit started.

 

Anyone else having similar issues?

 

Update: I realized that I didn't have the Zaz anims registered (I updated SLAL to the new version and everything got unregistered), so the 2a issue is now solved. I can enter furnitures manually. However all the other issues are still present.

Since nobody seemed to have similar issues than mine, I started a new game. I assumed my problems may be update related, as I had 1.52 installed in that game, I updated that one through several versions to tha latest one.

 

So, new game, here are the things happened so far:

- Lunch break - went w/o any problem in Solitude.

- Couple of marital events: all were broken now. The event goes fine, except at the end I never get back the control. This worked w/o problem in my old game.

- Belethor's shop - I got there around 11AM. The event started, this time I got the shop sign variant. I was glad to see that my character managed to get into the furniture, outside the shop. The time got skipped (I set it that way in MCM), but Mistress never came to get my character off from the pole. It's been hours (in game), it is nighttime now and she is nowhere.

- One more thing, Belethor said his "You need to leave" lines again, after the initial event dialog.

 

Update: 2 more attempts

- Belethor, sign again. This time the event worked, however it was 9 PM when Mistress came back. I had the control after the event.

- Arcadia: sign again. She also said the "You need to leave" lines. Mistress, who was standing next to the well the whole time, didn't come to take my character off the pole. Waited till morning, when Mistress started a new event to equip restraints on the DB.

Hmm, sounds something really odd going on there. E.g. never seen any issues with the marital events myself. If you have papyrus logging on, I can have a look if there's anything obvious that might be breaking things (really a long shot tbh). You'll need to have the papyrus logging on in the skyrim ini of course, and for PP you'll need to enable the extra logging as well:

First run "set pp_debug to 1" in console, and that will show you the debug options in the config. There set logging level to "debug", and any future logs will have more detailed logging on. So if you then run some events and those bug out, you'll have a possibly useful log.

 

There's also a generic "debug option" in the menu, can't remember what it was set to on the last release version, as I use that for random things during dev. Safer to ignore that ;)

Today all Shop event attempts died after the 1st event dialog, never got to the part "Pet!" "Follow me!" (when Mistress leads DB to the X-Cross or sign). This goes on for several minutes. It is the same in the Drunken Huntsman too.

I got a Marital event log too:

 

The OSL Aroused logs are because my character is a Player Succubus Quest succubus, she has an arousing aura. I also removed some Naked Defeat warning lines, so make it a bit cleaner.

I bolded the PP-related lines.

I lost control again at the end, but I had about a second while I could still move, right after the SL anim ended. I assume, I lost control when the "Resetting event state" was called.

Ah great, the reason it got stuck here is actually a bug with the debug mode I've since fixed on my local version. But since I have bunch of in-progress things there as well, and it doesn't affect anyone not running PP in debug mode, haven't released an update.

 

I've attached an updated script file to fix the debug mode issue, just drop it in data\scripts\

pp_libPreferences.pex

 

Also, about the control issue with the duties event. That event doesn't do anything about the player controls.

 

It basically has some dialogue with a force greet so the spouse approaches the player, and then starts a SL scene. The event done at the end is just resetting the PP internal state to allow for other events to trigger again, after the SL scene has ended. Feels like something else maybe hooks to the SL scene and as well, and disables the controls, though nothing that logs it explicitly at least.

Thanks, the new script worked. I had time only to test one event, inside Belethor's shop, that went w/o a problem. Only the "You need to leave" stayed from my earlier problems, but that is just a small issue compared to the other ones.

 

The next time I will play, I'll try to experiment with Naked Defeat, that one also can snatch control from the player, I'll report back the result.

I did a lot of experimenting, among other things, I disabled the Naked Defeat, resetted Sexlab, but nothing worked. At the end of Marital event I always lose the control. I'm out of ideas for now. :(

 

However, since the Shop events worked, I had a new idea with my old game, where those events were very broken. I went back to my other game, where I had PP updated from v1.52 through several versions to v2.1.1 in the last month. I tried a drastic move: removed the mod entirely. Then I cleaned the save game and installed again.

 

I had so far 1 shop event and 1 marital event. Both worked, no issues (I did not have any issues with the marital one in this playthrough before and after the reinstall, still no problems). So the conclusion is that the shop event got issues somewhere during the updates.

 

Update: I couldn't let it just remain bugged, so I started doing some more testing in the new game, where the I lose the control after them Marital event. The first major result is that I realised, it isn't just the Marital event - I lose control after ALL SL scenes. I ruled out Naked Defeat, Sexlab Adventures and PP - even w/o these, I lose control. I don't really have any other mod that can remove player control (besides SL and ZaZ), so I guess I give it up for now. I also tried to reinstall SL too.

 

Update 2: I figured out. It was Zaz 8+ causing the lose of control. After I resetted it with its MCM, I did not have the problem any more. Weird, I've been using it for years and never saw this issue before.

After tinkering a bit with my very limited knowledge, I don't seem to be able to make this and devious heatrise work together. There is something about them together that breaks this mod, but not heatrise. I can't see why it is that way, I am far from being an experienced modder. And I don't mean you can't do the quests at the same time, I mean having heatrise in your load order, nevermind where, will break this mod. Specifically it will make it so you never get belted and everything obviously breaks after that. Again, I might be wrong. 

 

Also, on the topic of compatibility it is also not compatible with Troubles of Heroine (already known) but it can be patched or consoled in with ease.  

 

Just for people to read if they see the post looking for answers.

I have to say, I've never been much interested in Skyrim marriage but this mod is very cool, I haven't seen all of it yet but so far it works pretty good for me on SE, except maybe some of the pathing is a bit wonky. Thank you Srende for all your hard work!

 

I do have a question though, can you use any married follower or just skyrim followers?

Yup, pathing is generally source of most of the problems <.<

 

Not exactly sure what you meant with the question, but any marriable follower works, including modded ones. Here the definition of marriable being that they use the vanilla marriage system.
