This is by far one of the best quest mods with unusual mechanics i've had for years. Thank you @Frayed for this cool experience ))

What exactly are your long term plans for the ending? I take it fighting will always be an option. Will another path be earning your freedom by eventually solving all her rooms? What's with the collar on the table next to her? Is one ending going to be about becoming her slave/pet or similar? Would that make her become a follower? Or are your plans for this to stay contained and not bleed over into the rest of the game, i.e. you do the rooms, maybe kill her, maybe spare her and get out, end of story?

I could use some help.

So, I've got as far as removing the blindfolds, and then reading the letter, but now I'm completely stuck. The hint orb doesn't work and just loops the same request to masturbate without providing any means to do so, and I exhausted more or less every single obvious venue. What's the next step?

 

Edit: Okay, so I found the Rat Key by complete accident. For the record, do the keys have no models on purpose? Also, I would still appreciate if someone could explain how the hint orb is supposed to work.

 

Edit2: There were a couple of annoying hitches here and there, but I finished the quest, and I have to say, it was really freaking great. I really liked the conversation with Clavicus Vile, the core idea of getting rid of restraints one layer at a time was really amusing, and I overall enjoyed the quest. I really hope you capitalize on the hook at the end of it, because this whole "bondage escape room" scenario turned out to be one of those things where I had no idea it was missing from my life until I encountered it for the first time.

 

All in all, keep up the good work.

I'm hoping that the next update of DD beta will use DAR, which should fix the Nemesis issues I've seen with it. Several of us on the dev thread have mentioned the advantages, all that's left is to see if it's added or not. And yes, there is a DAR for LE too, it's just not as popular as the SE one.

Had some problems finding the key for the underwater chest. Also, when the harness + plug was supposed to start firing orgasms, the plug never got my character orgasming. However, this might be an odd interaction with SLSO, Unforgiving Devices, or that I'm running LE.

Very fun escape, however, I'm also very enthralled by the Cursed Collar quest of DCL, and would enjoy some sort of "get tricked into getting into bondage, and then having to get out"-sort of scenario. Is there any plans for something akin to that?

Okay I finished it. Very good quest overall - I wish there were more like this for devious devices. I do have a few comments - 

1) The black screen during the initial capture sequence goes on waaaay too long, and there are too many text boxes. I'd recommend less text and shorter black screen - If the situation can be seen, there is no need to describe it in detail.

2) The harness puzzle had me stumped for quite awhile. Problem is I did what was actually the right thing, and nothing happened - because it needed to be done repeatedly. For all the other puzzles if you did what was required, even if the device did not come off immediately the message you got indicated progress. It would be helpful If you got some sort of positive indicator with the harness as well so you know you're on the right track.

3) the exit conflicts with Enhanced Solitude big time - the trap door ends up inside a stone wall. Good chance it conflicts with other mods that modify Solitude's exterior too. Since that trap door could really be most anywhere, you might want to move it to a more remote location further from the city.

So the new patch with the sphere hint is quite good. But the sphere dialogue is very tedious and the worst part is I cannot skip most of it. Another thing is if the dialogue is too long it may not display properly. This is a limit of Fu ro doh and there is not much to do to fix it. Maybe you could build a voice patch for it.

Enjoyable mod, albeit frustrating at one point. Here's a few observations I had from my run through.

Bear Key

This was my point of frustration. The first time, when I tried to pull it out, it hit on the bars and bounced further down the hall out of reach.  The second time, it just wouldn't go through the bars. I wound up abandoning it, thinking it would be used like the rat key. Between vague comments here and the hint doc, I figured there must be some trick to this, so I reloaded and tried again. On the third time, I could drag the key through the bars. It may be good to have the key drop on the PC's side of the bars.


Clavicus Vile - I was unsure if there was supposed to be something here. He just told me to go away.

Piercings

Unsure if there was a way to get them off normally. They came off when I confronted the NPC at the end though.


Dremora Deal

Through persuasion, the Dremora is supposed to hook up once out. Didn't happen. Was there a trigger that was missed for this?

I liked playing through this mod, waiting for part 2!

 

While testing and trying to break the mod, I found one suggestion and one technical issue:

After promising the guy to unblock the lock without having sex, I continued as if I didn't convince him and he did his thing, including unblocking the lock a second time.

If you change the interactions a bit, this could be kept.

 

When using beast races and starting hooded, the head is invisible and after taking it off, the other headgear is invisible while the head still do the expressions associated with them.

DD 5.2 Beta 6 has beast race refits included afaik (if the player wants them), so it might be easy to fix that, as the models and textures are already present.

Had a few busy weeks, but I'm back! I've got a patch in the works for a number of issues mentioned, but let me answer some questions first:

That's my bad, I didn't think about the mittens blocking the equip. I'll just make it auto-equip as a quick fix.

- More spacious environments, allowing for and freer camera and more movement (also movement-based restraints)

- A bit cleaner geometry (I've struggled with reaching the sun lamp and even with jumping out of the pond)

- Shorter dialogue lines from the NPCs since they're unvoiced and are read a lot faster than disappear

- Applying restrains onto yourself to solve puzzles seems like a good idea to expand on

- Interacting with restrained NPCs (or restraining NPCs) to solve puzzles would be a neat thing to add

There's a speech check to avoid the dremora sex scene. Generally, I don't like forcing the player into sex scenes, so my goal is to build in ways to avoid them if you want.

 

Next quest will probably have some more space. This one ended up kind of cramped everywhere, but for the next one I'll try to get some more variety.

 

The sun lamp never gave me much issue, but getting out of the pond annoyed me plenty of times too. I think I know how to avoid that from now on, though.

 

The dialogue length is a bit tricky, since people read at different speeds. I personally set my Fus Ro D'oh to quite a bit faster than the default, but really the problem is that for some reason you can't skip a talking activator's dialogue. It's a shame, because I personally like using them :/ I'll probably avoid max length lines and break them up more in the future, though, that may help as well.

When did you create this new save? Did you start the quest, enter the main portion, then load the older save from before the main part of the quest? If so, then it's an easy fix.

The collar is certainly there for a reason, which you'll find out more about in the second quest ;) 

 

I intend this to be a stand-alone adventure that does not impact the rest of the game, but I would like it to have some what I would call opt-in consequences. The player will definitely have a choice of what to do with the antagonist, and if the antagonist is still alive at the end I intend you to be able to interact with her. Whether she'll be just an NPC or a follower I don't know yet, this depends on a) how the story ends up evolving and b) how much work it'd be to make her into follower with an amount of content I deem reasonable. I don't want to build up a character over two quests and then provide an empty shell of a default follower, then she'd be better off staying an NPC.

The mod requires Sexlab Aroused or an equivalent, which has a function to masturbate on keypress (default I believe is long press "N").

 

The keys all use the vanilla Clutter/Key02.nif model. No custom models - 3D modeling is not one of my skills.

This looks really cool. I'll have a look at it and play through their example quest, see what it can do. However, if it requires Nemesis and breaks LE compatibility I don't think I'll add it for this mod, I think that's too steep of a price to pay. I'll keep an eye on it, though, thanks!

The harness puzzle is coded in such a way that it doesn't matter how your character orgasms. There's a built-in way (moon crest + tentacle statue) to trigger the DD vibrate effect which should eventually lead there, but any other source will also count, including random DD vibrate events or another mod. As long as they go through Sexlab, it'll work.

 

I also like the premise of the Cursed Collar quest, though I think its implementation is rather tedious. I may be able to include the idea into the second quest, but we'll see. May be better suited to a separate quest.

1) Noted. There's also such a thing as building anticipation, though. Also, the black screen is long partially because moving cells, equipping 10 devices onto a player and locking them in a contraption can take a while, and I don't want to break immersion by showing all the setting up.

2) There's always been a progress indicator notification. In the first versions, it was bugged and didn't always fire properly. But I think even after I fixed it people keep missing it, so I'll just change it to a messagebox. Less immersive, but oh well.

3) Zzz, location conflicts. Logically, the mod takes place in an abandoned cistern with the Solitude tileset, so it should be near the city. I've moved it again, let's see how long it takes until someone points out it conflicts in the new location ?

Bear key: Ah, I was afraid that might be possible. I've never had a key bounce out of range in my testing, but I guess I shouldn't assume the same good luck for others. I could drop the key on the player's side, but I like it this way. Instead I'll just add some triggers to move the key back into range in the rare case it bounces out of range.

 

Clavicus Vile: did you see the "[Continue focusing]" dialogue option there? If it there isn't there, something is wrong but I've no clue what - that's a simple dialogue branch with no extra conditions. Must be either a corrupt file (unlikely), another mod interfering (maybe?) or Skyrim jankiness.

 

Piercings: supposed to work via Clavicus Vile, so you didn't see it.

 

Dremora deal: canonically, Irkalla takes the dremora with her when she leaves. I'll make some small changes to make that clearer.

Good catch. I changed some dialogues to account for this option, will be in next patch.

 

There's already a beast race patch for this mod, but it's separate from the main file since it requires the beast race patch of DD, which not everyone gets.

Just tested it again with your patch and found that the model of the harness has changed to the one that includes the collar, rendering a way of getting help impossible until you get rid of it. Otherwise, it is working as intended so far.

Ah, bugger. I changed that a while ago in the main file but didn't update the patch. I'll change that for next update, thanks for letting me know.

Love this mod, but I am having a lot of trouble with the gargoyles.  See below:

I have no idea how to get them to stop spying.  I've walked up and down the place for a couple of hours but I cannot figure this one out.  Any ideas?
