But remember... these things take time. Skyrim modding took a long damn time to get where it is today. Thankfully, from the look of things so far, BG3 is going to be a gorgeous game. BG3 is on my wishlist, and I'll most likely buy it on full release, but I dont think it will get the support that Skyrim does. I'm not saying it wont get LL flavor mods (mostly texture mods), but I dont think there is going to be any animated snu snu. (dont quote me on that as Im not sure how much access to the animations modders are getting ?)

I mean this is assuming of course that they can release modtools for BG3. But they have expressed a desire to support modding for it.

Your proberbly not wrong as seems to be the norm with most games today Dev's are either too greedy or stupid to do otherwise thank the creator for modders who are the true heroes of gaming these days.

Without third person mode you won't have that many modders creating clothing and with less people involved creating stuff for this game we also won't get many other mods i think. We might get some animations perhaps even some quest mods but never the level you see for Skyrim or Sims. It's sad since it could be such an interesting world.
Darkening Demise Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Cyberpunk will NEVER take off. Not enough mod tools. Not technically solid enough. The game is a mess and the devs admitted it. Its held together with chewing gum. Not to mention with the lack of third person and proper animations (this was one of the cut areas to push the game out and use excuses to brush off) this game will never get anywhere. Enjoy the nude mods, cause that's about it.

Now whatever your stance is on epic games you do you I'll do me. For me personally depending on how CDPR and GoG do things going forword W3 might be the last game I have bought from them, as I have not bought (or sailed the seven seas) "any" game that has gone "epic exclusive" from any company.

I think the plan is more just a partnership related to Unreal Engine.

People shit on it for being dumbed down and not having any meaningful story or consequences but it's precisely this which made it so moddable. The fact that its so "undefined" that you can make almost anything with it and (usually) not break it.
