I think both work just fine, but I'd suggest adding the (lie) or (please him) to the actual text you select to say, rather than only including it in the actual dialogue to avoid the classic F4 "Wait that's not what I meant!" with its shortened dialogue options. Maybe it's already in there and I'm just forgetting though lol.

 

I am curious, do you plan on making Nora mean more of the things she says later on? Or at least making it more clear if she minds saying things like that? Not necessarily the "I'm dumb" stuff but just the things she says in general to please the OB. After what you commented about devotion the other day it left me wondering what your plans are for that, if you even have a clear idea right now.

After Bunker Hill the protagonist becomes sincere. Whether she is submissive or rebellious, there is no acting anymore. There are no parentheses anymore that imply that she is acting. 

 

But all this discussion makes me want to put that "I'm a dumb girl" thing back into some new dialogue, only for the OB to admit that he doesn't buy that story anymore and clearly sees that the girl is more cunning and manipulative than it seems.

On the contrary, I wanted to try to play a typical silly girl who became a lawyer due to her looks and lustful boss. She can't do anything but have sex.
I once read an interview with a porn actress Sasha Rose (she's from my town ? and that's when I realized how perfect she would fit into this mod, or rather her outlook.

Hey thanks for making this mod~ I have had to restart new characters a few times but I am still having fun which is my main reason to install any mod. I will say that in my brain everytime I see my character say that she's dumb that I am being 100% sarcastic and the OB just doesn't click onto that (Or if he does, ignores it xD )

I think next time I make a character I'm going to play it with Commonwealth Slavers installed too for fun~

But all this is based on the fact that the protagonist is an ordinary lawyer without military training and that she really does not have many options. It's act/lie or lose her job. I understand that many roleplay with different types of heroine, who are much more capable, but with Nuka Ride I wanted to do something different and that's where my idea of "Zero bullets" came from. But that can clash depending on what type of character is starring in this.  

 

I can't branch out to suit everyone. Why do it? Not that I want to brag about having "the best mod" or anything like that. I'm just someone who likes to tell a story. Not a "choose your adventure" tale. Not my thing.

 

Thanks for your post. I really enjoy reading opinions. To the best of my ability, I try to tweak the mod to improve it.

 

 

 

 

? what I was trying to highlight with the Mind Games game play was about the Player Dialogue - which I've seen a lot of discussion about in this Nuka Ride forum lately. Big mods often use existing voice lines found in the game which have the protagonist reacting to long strings of dialogue from NPC's, this can result in skill based dialogue options to convince an NPC but on a whole those voice lines the protagonist are "canned responses." With mods like NR you're creating dialogue that advances the story and that is remembered by NPC's and the game as the outcomes of these quest lines unfold.

Case in point - after Bunker Hill - when the OB reacts to those events on returning to Nuka World - if the protag responds with a choice with the "please him" tag he reacts by realizing that you're "acting" and from there - he steadily changes how he regards you. In fact with the addition Attitude Adjustment - this seems to become clear.  

I don't know if this would suit Nuka World, but it looks to me like the only way you could please the player base who all have their unique designs for their play thru; would be to simplify you dialogue options to such a degree, as it would leave the "intent" of the message obscure - let Sex Attributes show the results and that's all. 

As it stands - Nuka Ride's dialogue choices come with the attribute outcomes that have an impact on how the protagonist moves, reacts and even to their SPECIALS. I'm wondering what folks in here have a problem with - is it the choices in the dialogue tree, the results of their dialogue choices or is it the tone of those choices that come with the outcome of those dialogue choices? It's been pretty clear that the protag is lying when they reply to the OB by saying "I just a stupid whore" which imo is an entertaining choice to make in flushing out the protag's personality. Let's all be honest - the vanilla Nora is a lawyer from the 21st century - thrust into a Mad Max Post Apocalypse world - from Cannon I don't think Nora is the Sole Survivor. However with Mods like Nuka Ride, Slaves of the Commonwealth, the possibility of such become more plausible with a female protag.    

The only way I could see to changing the dialogue in Nuka Ride would be to reevaluate the results for Sex Attributes on certain dialogue choices - mainly for Esteem - as that has the greatest impact on the player's SPECIALS - perhaps assigning more outcomes to the Sub/Dom or Spirit attributes would be better (IDK).

Either way - mods like Nuka Ride give some of us "Cannon" players a reason to break from cannon and play the Female option for Fallout 4 - even if it means some of us are engaging in some Autogynephilic behaviors. ?

This is an excellent point. Spoiler Alert! I wonder did @JB. initially intend for this mod to become a juggernaut with an alternative route to becoming Overboss of Nuka World when he released this mod back in 2021?!? 

As for your idea @steelpanther24 That would be an excellent route for a male protag playthru - go to Nuka World - Broker a Deal with The OB, buy some real-estate in the park partner with Golden Globes (maybe become an actor) Hire Shank to find more "Girls" revive Lollipopz and Cats Paw under your new publishing house - and voila! Nuka World Done! Maybe hire Piper to write a Forums for the Wasteland - Pubelick Occurrences. IDK if Piper Wright would be down for that - might be lore breaking

You mean you have Not played Commonwealth Slavers before? LoL! Make sure you load JB's amputee mod - this will turn on the "Homage to The Bad Batch" movie feature. Definitely worth a playthru.

Doubtful, as the initial version was just a convenience mod to let you fast travel to NW at low levels or without going through the access quest. It was nothing more than a protrectron with a truck at the end of the Sanctuary Hills bridge, but useful if you wanted somewhere (more gritty than DC) to ply your services with mods like Hardship.

Just finished the final quest in the current version, had a total blast with the mod  - fantastic job! I can only imagine the effort it must've took. ?

After I reinstalled the 6.2 version and turned on cheating (because I passed the 4.17 version before), whenever I talked to Shanco he couldn't give me the audition suit, and the task menu was always displayed as "talk to Shanco". When I try to skip with code, the task menu keeps not updating with new entries.

It sounds like the scripts are not running correctly. For example, the script of Shank giving you the outfit is one of the oldest that this mod has. Are you sure you don't have some loose files from previous versions in your folder? Double check that with a general cleaning.

 

My first suspicion is that. An old "Nuka Ride.esp" plugin superimposed over the new one.

I remember you had a problem with the protectron, because he went to fight somewhere else and never came back. I had to watch a tutorial on how to make a package to be able to fix it. I was terrified of packages.

Did you install Slavers for fun? I don't know if fun would be the word for Slavers. ?

 

The girl definitely never really means the "I'm dumb" thing, she just takes Mason's advice about acting dumb and submissive to stay out of trouble. But just to be sure, I've made changes to those dialogs for version 6.2.1

Oh, right! Raider Children and Other Horrors puts a raider kid next to the corpse of (what I can only assume is supposed to be) her father, replacing the lonely raider corpse that the vanilla game puts at the end of the bridge. The kid kept going all aggro on the bot any time I'd approach, flee off the road once she was injured, get chased, and then their combat would spill over into the nearby insects... Before long he'd wander most of the way to Abernathy Farm sometimes. It was definitely amusing, even if it did cause me to have to repeatedly use moveto in the console to bring him back to his intended location.

VERSION 6.2.1

 

*I'll wait a few more days before updating it on Loverslab

 

Soft compatibility with HN66 nails (Fusion Girl Version). If you have it installed, Music will put the nails of this mod on your hands, similar to the colors that she originally painted.

 

The nails will lose their polish after a period of time, adjustable on the MCM. Default = 24 hours. Section "Beauty Salon". You will get a notification notifying you that the nails have lost their polish.

 

A new cheat is included in the MCM so you don't receive actual damage during whipping. This is for those who play with damage mods that could end up killing the protagonist.

 

The mod has grown in size exponentially because I have rebuilt the precombines. Basically, if I do it manually, I can make it lighter, but it's a slow and boring task. I have to do it cell by cell. But if the CK does it automatically, it will cover more areas for the precombines, hence the size of the mod increases.

 

From now on, the protagonist who is a rebel will not kneel before the Overboss unless he explicitly orders it to. In the submissive route, the protagonist will always kneel before him.

 

Here is a feature I forgot to include in Nuka Ride 6: Adjusting the breast/butt size in the surgery section of the MCM will also affect the Special Girl you chose for Gage.

 

The mod should correctly enable Captain Avory after winning "Semper Sexy". It also reactivates about 6 Far Harbor triggerboxes that were disabled for Nuka Ride. This fix is auto applied once you load a save.

 

I've changed the script at the start of "Made In Heaven" so that Maxson no longer spawns floating above the water fountain. It's not a bug that I can replicate, so I depend on user reports.

 

Fixed the issue with some areas of the terrain, such as Nuka Town or the Amphitheater, where the ground was broken or excessively uneven. I hope there are no more, but I will be attentive to the reports.

 

The bimbo walking has a new idle when standing up.

 

The Vaultec DLC is a new hard requirement. I need to use its gym equipment for a future quest. You can visit the gym by typing COC NukaGym although it is very basic right now.

 

Adjusted the "VIP Party" quest so that its entrance no longer has problems in the pipboy.

 

Adjusted NukaTown's navmeshes so that NPCs correctly walk in front of the studio, since they previously walked towards the green grass box.

 

Small tweaks thanks to user feedback.

 

If you are interested in testing a future repeatable quest, write this preferably after winning Nuka Ride 6.

During this quest, the OB expects you to have a set of tattoos:  the Overboss Bitch set. (But if your name is Snowbunny he will expect you to use the SnowBunny Set).

 

Another clue: the rag is INSIDE the stove. I have to move it to another simpler place. ?‍♂️

 

For translators:

 

There are new quests with new dialogues, but none are playable/finished, so I wouldn't start translating those because they are subject to change.

 

I would only translate the new entry in the MCM. You can find the new entry in the MCM between lines 305 and 340, if you use Notepad.

 

There are a bunch of new entries called "_NR_OrgasmEvent", which can now be translated. Some of these were already in previous versions of Nuka Ride and probably already translated into their respective languages, but they will need to be re-checked as they have changed.

 

This is still content for the future NR7.

Interesting...i guess it's unlikely since you are doing it for a particular quest and I'm sure it would be a lot of extra work, but are you planning on implementing a weight loss/gain system? Maybe a soft compatibility/interaction with @vaultbait's Unhealthy craving mod? Idk if the equipment is interactive but maybe a message can pop up saying something like "You rode the exercise bike for 1 hr. You wished you were riding a dick but atleast you lost xx % of weight!" lol! And then maybe a script to adjust the weight and stuff with vaultbaits mod. Or not, just a thought though...

If you have UC installed, using any of the exercise equipment from the Vault-Tec DLC will burn fat relative to how long you use it (amount is adjustable in the Settings page of the MCM). No special work should be needed to integrate it.

 

If the exercise equipment uses its own custom furniture forms, just make sure to add one of the same keywords the DLC uses on the standard ones (AnimFurnDLC06PommelHorse, AnimFurnDLC06WeightBench, AnimFurnStationaryBike, AnimFurnStationaryBikeStanding). There are also several other ways to add custom exercise furniture to UC, but I won't go into detail here (happy to provide more detail in UC's support topic if anyone's interested).

For translators:

 

There are new quests with new dialogues, but none are playable/finished, so I wouldn't start translating those because they are subject to change.

 

I would only translate the new entry in the MCM. You can find the new entry in the MCM between lines 305 and 340, if you use Notepad.

 

There are a bunch of new entries called "_NR_OrgasmEvent", which can now be translated. Some of these were already in previous versions of Nuka Ride and probably already translated into their respective languages, but they will need to be re-checked as they have changed.

 

This is still content for the future NR7.
