I think I've watched too much anime.  Everything is starting to look like repeats and recycles to me.  Where are the series like Shigurui Death Frenzy, Black Lagoon and Parasite?  Where are the Hagure Yūsha no Esutetika's of the anime world today?  The slice-of-life-robot-shit is starting to wear on me.  *whimpers like abandoned puppy*

Did you ever watch Kingdom. A good war flick that went way under the radar. Not sure if it's to your taste.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Seems like every forum I visit there'll be an anime thread, HAHA. Used to watch lots of anime every week, but then I picked up skyrim again and now I am struggling to keep up with both -.- Besides watching anime sometimes I do doodle some manga on paper and as well as on the computer. I find it more of a past-time than an interest though.

Blood+, (not new one) Descendants of darkness, s-cry-ed, Ninja scroll, escaflowne, chobits, xxaholic, Evangelion, cowboy bebop, Big-O, Original ghost in the shell movie, Akira, Trinity blood, those who hunt elves, Original fullmetal alchemist series, screw the movie and screw brotherhood...many more could go on 3 pages.

screw the movie and screw brotherhood

Got any reasoning on the hatred for brotherhood? Not trying to be a dick just curious since I've heard nothing but positive things about it.

The Animes i like is Witchblade, Guardian of the Spirit, Cowboy Beebob, Elfen Lied, Dragon Ball.

Elfen Lied has not realy an end, so i´ve bought the books too and they are great. The half is missing in the

animes. The same thing is with Claymore, there they changed the end. I think it was because the books

wasn´t all written to that time. I bought the Claymore books too and they are awesome, i like them.

I watch at the moment Blood-C, two episodes at the moment. When they are good, i will buy it too.

Finally raked up enough guts to watch Utawarerumono:Itsuwari no Kamen till the finish. The last episode is like getting nuked in the guts. The ending of the game was quite short so even if the sadness is there, it's not exactly long lasting. Having an entire episode dedicated to that whole thing while seeing what happens to the characters plus the supporting characters (like the peasants in Yamato) really blew it.

Then I ended up watching the God Eaters' remaining episodes.... The first returning episode shows just how crappy of a life the people lived in that universe. The crater that was dug by U:InK got nuked again when the episode ends with the scene of the corpse of Lenka's stepsister chomped on by Ogretails. Still, that was quickly elevated by the following episodes (before the one that shows the return of Dias Pita), particular the part showing the incoming reinforcements from other branches. Those who have played God Eaters 2 should immediately recognize some characters. I guess they did set up the plot properly should the anime is going to continue to that part. I ended up laughing when they showed what "Operation Meteorite" means. Damn! They actually animated that particular custom made bullet and make it more awesome than how it played out in game.

Its usually the other way around, I've seen both and imo  Brotherhood is better. It's more mature then the first series.

Seen every Gundam from 0079 to Seed Destiny, currently taking a break from 00 until I get Macross Frontier under my belt, maybe actually get around to watching Cross Ange and Majestic Prince.

...mecha fanatic, that's basically me. Although, I'll venture outside of the genre and watch other things, too. One Punch Man was amazing.

Berserk (2016) debuts today!  Downloading the first episode now.

EDIT:  It seems to be getting a lot of hate due to the CG animation being used, amongst other issues.  I'll still check it out though.

Just watched it. Don't understand why this would garner hate. The animation is pretty similar to Knights of Sidonia's though with added cell shading.

Amaama to Inazuma... Just finished volume 7 of the manga and then I saw that the first episode came out. I guess age really is creeping up on me when I actually think that the daily interaction between a single parent and his daughter beats slamming a bad guy into a wall.

one of the best episode of Gundam

Captured the brutality of Universal Century so perfectly

The manga is still ongoing though. More reality brutality and damn, another Gundam wrecked. Really love how that idiot can break a super prototype in three sorties.
