The robots in these other ones just kill it for me. In what way? The 00 Gundams were no different then any other gundam that has ever shown up minus the SD and build fighter Gundams.

I get that they wanted to make the anime a single season anime but still that kind of ending when the Source material is still on going and all the characters who died were STILL ALIVE in the source material is just going to far in my book. :@ :@ :@ The ongoing source material is a real problem for a lot of shows. I understand the desire to cash in on a manga's peak but in far too many instances there just flat out isn't enough material to justify the adaptation. I think if AgK had managed the ending a bit better then a lot of the stuff leading up to that would have been justified. Hell, my go to example for this sort of thing is Blood Lad which, as far as I can tell, had enough material for 6-8 episodes but got 10 episodes, no ending and no indication of any follow-up season. I'm also continually perplexed why some long running, moderately popular and now complete series seem to get overlooked for adaptations. I understand that there are some serious storytelling issues over roughly the middle quarter of the series but something like Battle Angel Alita/Battle Angel Alita: Last Order has over 20 manga volumes at this point to work with and could probably yield a fairly robust 24-36 episodes depending on how one felt like pacing things.

Think I'll pass on the rest of it if it's gonna stick with that hideous pop idol theme. It wouldn't be a Macross Anime if it didn't.

Has potential. Not my favorite this season but I could see it surpassing a few of the shows that have already played a bit more of their hands. X2 Hai to Gensou no Grimgar Heavy Object (not continuing this season) Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Death Parade is one of IMO the best shows to come out in the last few years. Good characters and pacing and enough possibilities that they could probably continue the series if they wanted to. I started watching gate. I think I saw 5 episodes but it was a bit too naive for me. Does it get better ? Define better. I watched the entire first season of this show and have peaced out on the second season if that tells you anything. I don't really remember what's going on specifically in ep. 05 because the entire thing kind of blurs together for me.

Nothing special was going on really, they met this fan service girl in goth? alfit with the big weapon and brought her and a few others back to base. I just got annoyed from the hole thing. They let her roam around there freely with her weapon, it just seemed so unrealistic to me and nothing really interesting happened. I think I will skip
