jackbewitch Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Sword Art Online is one of my favorite. The first seasons is available on Netflix and second seasons available from a couple places both subtitled and dubbed.
Nasseliten Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I found something good. For those who like psychological thrillers. It's only 3 episodes so it's really short, but it's worth it. http://myanimelist.net/anime/24781/Imawa_no_Kuni_no_Alice
Kendo 2 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Watching 'Rage of Bahamut:Genesis' for the first time. Yeah, I'm behind the anime curve but I get to marathon that way. Anyway, I'm really impressed with the story arc so far (on episode 7 right now). Most of the animation and character art is top notch and I really like the styling of Jeanne D`Arc and Amira. I haven't seen any CG stuff yet and that's a good thing, imo. The only anime cliches I've seen so far is the pretty-boy bad guy demon (but his art is awesome) and the mandatory little girl for the series; but even her character concept is something I haven't seen before. I didn't expect a 9 yr old necromancer who's been turned into a zombie with an infectious bite. THAT'S fucking unique, or at least I've never seen it...or even considered it. EDIT: Here I am praising the series for no CG and then they go and start at episode 9. EDIT#2: Finished the series. Why is it that every time I like a female lead character in a non-ecchi anime they FUCKING DIE? If they show their tits and have plenty of panty shots they get to live on in anime. If they have depth and are interesting there is either an absurb plot twist to make them the antogonist or they get killed off. Again with the . I did enjoy this anime though, despite my bitching about the obvious. C'mon season two already!

In general I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of quality fantasy animes that have come out over the last 2-3 years.
eraza32 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Currently watching Kara no Kyoukai, really enjoying this one. Had to contact a few friends just to get my hands on a copy. I'm pretty sure Adelle wrote the script on this anime. { ͡• ͜ʖ ͡•}
Nasseliten Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Another old anime I just discovered, this one is easily in my top 5 now. If you can get past the old animation style I highly recommend checking this out (same guys who made Gyokkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate survivor) Only this one is at least 10 times better. http://www.animeseason.com/akagi/
The DarkSlayer Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I'm pretty sure Adelle wrote the script on this anime. { ͡• ͜ʖ ͡•} Had a moment there when I realized the universal laws that govern the Fate series are also at play here. Ah ufotable you never disappoint. 11/10 - Would get amnesia to experience it for the first time again. Yay! Unlimitedo blado works. You mean Unlimited Budget Works.
Kendo 2 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Watching 'Bayonetta: Bloody Fate'. Not impressed, though some of the angels and their gear are pretty cool to look at. Roman Catholic Steam Punk.
mkprovince Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Knights of Sidonia S2 ep 5 They finally made Izana Sidonia's version of Bionic Woman! A.K.A. Tanikaze Nagate's Worst Nightmare!
shirow Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I started monster few weeks ago, I really like it ( still haven't finished, I've seen ~30 episodes so far ) And gintama, but from what I've heard. It's a not as big as I expected, I'm a little dissapointed because I had too high expectation. But still a good anime.

Monster is a great anime, I would consider it one of the best if it had skipped the fillers.
shirow Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I've been finding the manga to Shokugeki no Soma pretty entertaining. That's saying quite a bit, since I'm not much of a manga reader. I haven't read the manga of shokugeki no Soma, but I dislike the anime. When I see everyone is having orgasms when they eat something, it annoys me.
Ashkandii Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I watched clannad: after story recently and cried many times. Feels was too strong for me.
toplelm80 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 So many plebs here my god. Well this is a Skyrim forum, not an anime forum. Can't expect everyone to be an Anime Expert™ like me. Anyways, I've been really enjoying Kiniro Mosaic this season. Probably AOT[s|Y]. Looking forward to the second season of Non Non Biyori and Gakkou Gurashi next season.

Dem attitude. x° I follow so many animes that i lost the count of it. Fortunately, MAL hold it for me. And Kirino Mosaic is boring as fuck. Just to say. Typical otaku anime with pretty little lolis and a poor plot just to enjoy the cuteness of it. ;P In my opinion, obviously. This is my MAL: http://myanimelist.net/profile/LelouKun Not sure i can post it, if not, just send me a PM and i'll modify asap!

Come on, 3/10 not even trying.
Josephine Loire Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Kappa. (Pointless to argue with people that are full of themself ;D)
thingwhatsqueaks Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Kappa. (Pointless to argue with people that are full of themself ;D) Indeed. Overall I've been pretty happy with this season as both the new series and the continuations have been solid. So far only Denpa Kyoushi and Arslan Senki have been disappointing (Triage X does not count as disappointing as I had ~0 expectations of it being good). Kyoushi has the shittiest production values I've seen in a long time and Senki just took too long to get going and after making my way through all of Akatsuki no Yona I wasn't really in the mood for another similar series. Favorite show so far this season is DanMachi as it's a clever idea paired with reasonably interesting characters and pretty creative world building. I've also been liking the new Ghost in the Shell series though it is getting a little tiresome that the answer to everything seems to be "Their ghost got hacked".
Someone92 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Does MAL still have sub recommendations when you are logged in or has it been removed entirely?
Josephine Loire Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Does MAL still have sub recommendations when you are logged in or has it been removed entirely? Never had this problem, and i'm registered on the site since.. i don't know, two three years? Didn't even know that they had such option :c I'm enjoying DanMachi too, even if i'm not an Hestia fan (Her fanbase it's hilarious, so big in so little time xD). The anime i like most, this season, it's probably Shoukugeki no Souma. Really fun to watch, even if usually i'm the type who prefer a more serious style. Arslan it's cool, but, i don't know, it's lacking something.. probably the author didn't need to focus the plot with that hero.. too young, too naive. Still good, love Daryum. :3
The DarkSlayer Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Favorite show so far this season is DanMachi as it's a clever idea paired with reasonably interesting characters and pretty creative world building. I don't think "clever" and "interesting" are the right words to describe this anime when there are like 4 other ones that I can think off that have the same setting just with a different premise. More like uninspired and generic. Zankyou no Terror is clever, Shinsekai yori is clever, Kara no kyoukai is clever, Danmachi certainly isn't. lol
Kamen Rider Kuuga Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 So on a whim I decided to look up how things go down in the latest Dragon Ball movie. After all, Freeza has to lose and I don't feel like watching the movie in any real format, be it fan subbed now or dubbed later this year. Turns out it's not worth my time anyway! Freeza, like a dumbass, rushes through his training until he gets a new form, then just runs to Earth to kill Goku. Except his new form drains energy faster than that piece of shit SSJ3 and he never tried to figure out how to get around such a weakness... you know, the same weakness that also helped lead to his downfall before since his 100% form also drained his energy... so after a few minutes he basically loses so much power that he once again becomes a joke compared to the latest new form Goku gets. Fuckin' Toriyama. I'm not even going to watch the new DB anime, either. Fuck that noise and fuck this hack.
