Nasseliten Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 This looks promising. http://myanimelist.net/anime/24439/Kekkai_Sensen Interesting, getting a shingeki no kyojin vibe from the art at the the cover. I really hope it's good because I haven't been able to find anything worth while for a long time.
Nasseliten Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 i dont like japanese cartoons I don't belive you!
Raven08921 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 i dont like japanese cartoons Heretic! Well, i like the Anime Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, or the Ghost in the Shell Series.
Kpnut Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 From what (little) I've seen of Kekkai Sensen I'm actually enjoying it (even if I did only start watching it because it had kek in its title, too much time on 4chan methinks) they actually managed to mix seriousness and humour pretty well and the music they chose for each scene is pretty fitting.
Guest Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 For some reason I cant watch anime anymore, whatever I watch it just seems cliche, uninteresting and generally crap.
Anatriax Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 For some reason I cant watch anime anymore, whatever I watch it just seems cliche, uninteresting and generally crap. That's because the Japanese are slowly turning into Americans. Unintelligent and non-creative. Look at our cartoons/comics over the last 20 years. It's all the same thing. Family Guy, The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show... all of it. It's all the same thing. Over and over and over.
Nasseliten Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 It's not because they are slowly turning into American but because they are not allowed to make what they really want anymore. They don't make anime for niche crowds or the casual crowd anymore. They make for the obsessive fan market and this is why we get so much crap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTOjLZOBHkY#t=83 Also Interesting read: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.841079-Hayao-Miyazaki-Anime-Suffers-Because-the-Industry-is-Full-of-Otaku
ds64 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Blame the market, now it seems almost every one want to see an ecchi anime, and boobs...Who watch anime for the plot anyway... (sarcasm).
Angrybird Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTOjLZOBHkY#t=83 No wonder most anime happens in high school the animator is 21 years old working 12h a day 6/7 days a week, his life is already over.
Guest Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The problem is that theres not even done quality work for both genres. No quality mainstream productions done (mostly moe shit with boobs etc) and the new hentai productions are too generic. The problem is the inadequete mix.You can't satisfy both audience.Things should stay separate.Take for instance the movies Nymfomaniac part 1 and 2.There ,the director tried to make a real movie with hardcore porn elements wich was disasterus in my opinion.
Guest Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I have pretty much abandoned 9/10 animes, the only ones I bother watching is the ones with good manga's that have already passed my standards. For example, I am excited to see this in Anime format one day. http://mangafox.me/manga/mahou_tsukai_no_yome/ A charming story with substance, all that remains to be see if the author can deliver further but so far. Excellent work. I think one thing that current Anime can actually do is have characters with realistic relationships. Every. SINGLE. One of these animes is constantly about 10 year old virgins level of relationship. Be it a 20 year old character or 50 year old. "Omg I am holding her hand!" or "Omg, she is wearing summer clothes" Holy crap those are annoying...
LaEspada Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 . "Omg I am holding her hand!" or "Omg, she is wearing summer clothes" Holy crap those are annoying... It's okay when it happens once or twice. I was like that in my last relationship. People are like that in a new relationship that young of age. But when it's happening constantly, it's super annoying. So yea, i gotta agree with you. Male protagonist have no spines nowadays, they're all weak, stupid, and don't even really think about their actions. And get overly flustered when dealing with the opposite sex.
Guest Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I never cared for romance animes. Titles such as Clannad make me puke. But Spice and Wolf is an exception. Because it's the only 'romance' that is actually, a little, normal and a bit chaotic. that's what makes them fun, the rest is just ridiculous. Its one of the reasons I hated SAO with a passion like no other.
Nasseliten Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The first half of SAO was pretty good, then second half was just jawdroppingly bad. And then SAO 2.... OMG, I wasn't even able to finish it. Just terrible... I'm waiting for the next season of shingeki no kyojin and kuruko's basketball. Hope they don't mess them up.

Well the first AoT was 34 chapters in the Manga and now we have 68 chapters though no end in sight. This means after second season prepare to waiting for a long time... though than again, the artist seems to be stretching the storyline. For example after a month of waiting all we had was just a battle of words for 40 pages while nothing really happened
Nasseliten Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Second season is in 2016 I think I read. So what your saying is I should lower my expectations a bit?
Guest Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Second season is in 2016 I think I read. So what your saying is I should lower my expectations a bit? Not at all. Same amount of quality. All I will say it has fair share of titan fun for the first half but the second half is more human focus. I wont say any more unless you want me to spoil things.
Nasseliten Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Great Nono I don't want you to spoil anything. I'm the type that likes to save up an entire season before I start watching anything so I guess I'm set for 2017 lol.
Kamen Rider Kuuga Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Akira Toriyama is a fucking hack fraud at this point. Seriously, the whole thing about Freeza becoming powerful enough to meet end series Goku due to a few months of training was bad enough, then this shitty ass golden Freeza form was a cock slap. Now this whole blue haired Super Saiyan God form is basically him shoving his dick into my asshole without lube while donkey punching me. Are you fucking kidding? Super Saiyan God was bad enough, being a somewhat more slim and having eyes False Super Saiyan from Lord Slug, but now a blue haired form? is this why you said Goku was getting rid of his base and SSJ1 forms, you fuck? So you can make a whole new goddamned set of God modes? What's for the next move, does he get white hair? Does he get a tail again? Will the shitty fan designs from things like AF look good compared to it? People want to defend this shit? WHY?! You want a new series with this shit as canon? Are you fucking kidding me? FUCKING WHY?! This entire movie better be just him trolling the fuck out of the fanbase. Buu was bad enough...
Chaos63 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Why is 99% of modern anime revolving around school kids or otherwise set in school surroundings? How is this stuff still popular after all these years?
LaEspada Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Why is 99% of modern anime revolving around school kids or otherwise set in school surroundings? How is this stuff still popular after all these years? Because there's no life after school in Japan. You're expected to put in most of your lie at work, and have no real hopes of any gainful employment. Forget relationships, you don't have the time to have any meaningful relationships outside work, if you don't meet someone during school forget meeting someone after. Japanese work ethics and culture is horrifying, it's pretty much a slave market. The only life people have is during school.
