Hello, first of all i love this entire mod to boot and think  there oughta be more jail related mods ! but i've been having quite the conundrum lately, i've started a completely new game and well frankly everything goes as planned, get arrested, gagged and binded but then suddenly, the guards descide to kill me and attack me, i tried resetting it via MCM control, but nothing works, when it did work i had to use the "get arrested for minor" or major fellany mcm option then it works, but when i fast forward the walking my character just stands there stairing at the jailer and he does nothing while my character is frozen in place. If anyone can shed some light on this problem, i've tried everything ... or well most of it i'm not quite smart to rly hackle this thing out via use of the toolkit hehe

 

I had this for a while, turned out I had overlooked Fuz Ro Dah requirement after a sadly required clean sweep when I was getting CTD's loading previously fine games.

Oh while I'm here, the unofficial DD plug in from Bane Master, chaps not especially happy with his abilities, very self derogatory personally its working very well, so thank you.

 

Oh that note, vanila, I guess or pure DD belts work perfectly, derivatives such as the captured dreams models are either broken or unsupported- I'm guessing the latter.

 

Will Captured Dreams and Zed and Regulations authors let you make there belts comparable with prison overhaul?

Got a issue first time ive purposely let myself get caught without paying the fine in awhile but had a 30k fine in falkreath and didn't have on me nor did i want to cheat it in. Took awhile as i see others mention for the guard to put the bindings on/force my weapons. Thats not my real issue though i wated and let the gaurd lead me but he lead me out ot falkreath so thinking it was a bug i fast forwarded. Now i appear to be in a spawning cell just for the winterhold jailer.

Ack spoke too soon, I've lost the surrender dialogue for bounty hunters, they just proceed to kill me to the point that Submit kicks in and then I end up hogtied minus gear and depending on settings, they bounty hunty stood over me making escape impossible or will decide to kill me.

 

Reading back I remember people saying if bounty's are too high that guards need to "De aggressor" over a couple of days with you out of sight so they will run up and attempt arrest not run up and kill you. Are bounty hunter's inheriting this behaviour? Skyrim bound gave me the "Jackpot" of over 10K bounty in every hold first time I ran it.

 

Anyone know if I'm on the right track and could perhaps setcrimegold to zero and then back up again to something high but makes npc guards behave reasonably?

 

Any offer suggests/corrects welcome of course, I could be totally on the wrong track.

And yes, for the record, in Whiterun I got a proper selection of punishments now during the day outside. On the pillory. I guess when in Riften the X-Cross is picked for you, that's all there is animation wise ... whipping after whipping.

 

 

OK, I just had my PC go to Riften, and there she was whipped 7 times on the cross.  Maybe there are no other punishment animations available that use the cross?

 

 

i think you're right, there are no other animations at the cross... probably the position isn't suited for the sex or broom animations...

when i first installed the mod i sent my PC in different towns and triggered an arrest in each of them...

while in Falkreath, Whiterun and Solitude the onlookers had different kind of "fun" with my PC, in Riften she only got wipped.

 

now, after several games in which my PCs were arrested in different towns, the situation hasn't changed, when exposed at the pillory the punishment was varied while at the cross it always consisted in being wipped.

You are too kind - but I only speak the truth, I am a part time dabbler in coding, many people here are professionals in RL. :)

 

If the patch is working as I intended then it should be OK with any devious device from any source as long the dD keywords identifying the zas_inventorydevice and the generic type of device (eg. zad_deviousbelt, zad_deviousArmCuffs) are in place.

 

I guess an issue will arise if an expansion uses a non-standard generic keyword for an expansion device  - but only in the sense that any exception processing in the patch to leave the item equipped (eg. Armbinders & Gags during arrest, boots, blindfolds and in the new version I am working on piercings) won't work as the keyword won't be in the exclusion logic.

Now that's a level of ambition I like to see, arrested while running away from a failed captured dreams delivery ect and guards have the sense to leave bondage in place until back at holds prison. That's got alot of elegance to it. Once bounty hunters work again I look forward to seeing that, it figures that the NPC's designed to be unkillable at lower levels would be the ones to break..

I am having problems, seems I may not be alone. I've read a lot of the replies here, but I haven't found a solution. Pretty much everything works as expected until I get to the pillory. The only animation that appears to work is whipping, the others freeze the NPC and force me to reload, same goes for within the prison. Its pretty much the same in any city, and also if i only allow the Jailer to punish my PC.

* I've reran FNIS user tool after installing the mods.

If you check Zaz MCM menu you will see an option to register the animations it contains- mostly pillory torments of one variety or another with sexlab itself, if this isn't done sexlab can't make use of them. There's a list show in Zaz with all animation with TRUE or FALSE next to it. once registered they will all turn to TRUE. I hope that clears it up for you, as I'm not a good source of advice for the harder stuff.

how does the follower jailed and punished work ? i have nothing like this. using aft.

 

In my game my follower was stripped and placed in the cell with my PC.  She was not punished in the cell, but a bag appeared over her head when my PC was punished in the cell.  Outside, the follower was not placed in the pillory.  The only punishment applied outside to the follower was that the jailor caused the PC to have sex with the follower with a strap on, once (if I remember correctly) with the PC in the dominant position and once with the follower in the dominant position.  The jailor verbally threatened to whip them if they didn't go at it faster, but did not actually do it.  Again, when other NPCs (not the follower) punished the PC, the follower stood by with a bag on her head.

 

I'm also using AFT.

I have the same problem Bahamut2119 is encountering. 

Upon arrest, no matter what city, my character is marched off towards Windhelm. Fast forwarding works, and once placed in some tiny room, inaccessible (as far as I could tell) from the normal Windhelm prison, I get the "take off your items" dialogue. The Jailor then stays in the room with her and scenes play (relatively) normally. Due to the size of the cell, one character usually ends up in a wall. 

All dialogue seems to work once in the cell so it might not be a Fuz Ro Doh problem, not sure though. 

I started a new game with the release of v0030.

Playing a Ningheim character. 

No Devious Devices equipped. 

No bounty in any holds other than the one I'm arrested in. 

Log files are around a MB in size, but sometimes scripts seem to be slowing down a bit. 

Arrested for minor crime, major crimes cause Attack-on-sight, yielding doesn't help. May be a problem with Skyrim itself, SexLab Defeat or SkyRe, not sure as I've never been arrested for major crimes without PO installed.

Edit: Oooh, might be a "Sexlab Solutions - Prison Overhaul patch"- problem, not sure if I installed that before or after I tried PO, I'll check back once I tried without it.

 

The only thing that patch changes is ensuring that the Prison Overhaul changes to the Riften jail guard and the added dialogue option for that particular guard from Sexlab Solutions are both preserved. So it shouldn't be possible for the patch to cause any issues since Prison Overhaul's settings are still in place.

Just used this in riften with a companion and it was great! I can see why you'd want to go a different route with the stocks though. One thing I just remembered; In markarth there are stocks. Same one that the Haelga's basement mod uses.

Arrested for minor crime, major crimes cause Attack-on-sight, yielding doesn't help. May be a problem with Skyrim itself, SexLab Defeat or SkyRe, not sure as I've never been arrested for major crimes without PO installed.

 

That is vanilla behavior, with major crimes. Don't think PO changes anything about that. One needs to stay out of that hold for a bit (just a couple of days as far as I can tell), when you meet guards afterwards they sort of have "cooled off" and dont go berserk on you, instead force-greet you from afar to arrest you/collect the bounty.

Found a mod that doesn't work with Prison Overhall - Immersive Patrols.  The patrols are in the various holds gaurd factions but when they arrest the PC character they don't know how to get to the hold prison.

Really? patrols I see are default army guys storm cloaks or imperials and the game seems to register them as such: armour mods and behavioural mods and devious regulations treats all my patrolling guys as "army" not "police" Were you close to a hold with the storm cloak model guards perhaps? Or perhaps were testing the "Trigger major/minor Arrest" button can work with any npc, not matter how civilian or unlorefreindly. That could have made soldiers arrest you I guess.

The problem I had in my last game, where none of the guards would take my PC to the prison in Solitude, no longer happened.  I had deleted a few mods for this play-though, I think the one most likely to have caused the problem was Interesting NPCs (3DNPC).  It does add an NPC prisoner to a jail cell, so perhaps that was causing the problem.

 

I doubt it's 3DNPC, I've always used it and never had a problem with XPO

 

I think there are some mods that modify Solitude jail, and remove a keyword on the door there. That causes PO to fail for Solitude at least. I don't think that's 3DNPC because I run with that mod, but load order and how often I test in Solitude (almost never).

 

Funny thing with Solitude is that I made PO specifically because I had a bounty in Solitude and hated the vanilla prison experience. And now I never test PO there ... the irony.

I'm not sure if this should be posted here but its kind of related to PO so I figure I would post it here and ill just delete/move my comment if necessary.

 

So for the last month or so I have been messing around with 3ds max and, although im still learning and fairly amateur, I think I have begun to get the hang of it.  After doing quite a bit of basic animations such as different idles and attack animations I started to work on one particular animation that I think would go well with PO.  Basically the idea is something of an arrest animation.  What I have right now, and it still requires ALOT work, goes something like this:

 

Player raises hands into a surrender position

Player then moves hands to a position raised behind their head

finally each arm moves down into a position similar to the bound hands idol from ZAP.

 

Basically I was curious if this animation could be implemented into PO and played upon the players surrender to a guard.  It could even be expanded a bit to make this play similar to a pillory punishment animation and act as a paired animation with a second actor.  Basically I see it working like this:

 

Player surrenders to guard.

player plays surrender animation and places hands on top of head

guard plays a sort of "searching the player" animation where he/she pats down the player

guard then moves players hands behind his or her back

animation ends in bound hands idol from ZAP

wrist/ankle irons and gag applied to the player

 

If this can behave similar to a pillory animation it could even take advantage of crowd functionality and so NPC's will gather around and clap/cheer and generally engage in a skyrim version of rubbernecking as the player is being hauled off.

 

So thats pretty much the gist of it.  Also if someone else, much more talented then me, likes the idea and wants to try and animate this themselves by all means go right ahead (even though they probably don't need my permission anyway). 

 

Also, xaz, if this can't be done or would not be something you would want to implement then let me know?  That way I can at least stop working on something that would essentially be a useless animation haha.

 

Finally if there is a thread here on LL where I can ask questions/get help from experienced animators I would also appreciate someone directing me there.

 

Also, to make this comment slightly more related to PO, v30 works fine for me the only real issue I have to report is occasionally on arrest the player will not play the bound hands animation from ZAP and just walk like normal but with irons and gag applied.  Otherwise everything else works fine.

I think the surrender position is already available (hands raised). Though the hands behind back is not, afaik.

 

I think I'd prefer to keep PO free from FNIS as much as possible. Nothing against FNIS, it's just that it makes it harder for most people to install the mod properly.

 

When it comes to the capture scene, I think it would be really cool to have it play out like that. Problem is that it takes a lot of work to do the fine tuning that is required from synchronising two actors and so on. Given how much I have on my current backlog, I don't think I should add this too...

 

Still, if you create a hands behind head animation, I guess I could include it in Zaz Animation Pack or something, and then try to use it in PO eventually.

Do the jailors have their own AI packages and regular daily schedules? My PC went to Windhelm, got arrested outside (since using Sexlab Bound she had a bounty in all holds), was walked to the gate by a guard, but when she got inside the jailor was walking around in front of Candlehearth Hall.  The guard stopped moving for a while but made no effort to turn the prisoner over to the jailor, and after a short while the jailor walked off.  I then used the MCM option to fast forward to the jail, at which point the guard did his dialog to turn the prisoner over to the jailor, but the jailor wasn't there.  I've waited about an hour in game, and he still hasn't showed up.

Short answer: No they don't.

 

The jailor should have been force moved to the prison as soon as you were arrested. Not sure why it's walking around outside. Maybe it somehow had the wrong ai package or similar.

 

Sorry, no idea....

I've had this happen to me once or twice as well. I've found the best way to avoid these sorts of problems is to reset XPO after each stay in prison

 

Now it gets interesting.... I'll try to reproduce this scenario (after an initial tour in the jail) and see what happens.

As far as I know, only the bounty in the current hold is considered.  However, you still go to jail whether it's for a major or minor crime.

 

Unless you changed the options in the MCM menu, it would be unusual to get that many whipping events in a row.  I haven't been to Riften with the current version, though, maybe the cross has some effect on the frequency.  Did you see the same in Whiterun?

 

I frequently sleep in the cell, but usually not for more than 3 hours at a time, since the punishment events by default are set to happen every 3 hours.

The cross has no animations for any other content, and the mod picks the pillory when you're jailed. I'll change this in the future, but what this boils down to is....

 

If you get placed in the x-cross, you'll only see whippings for the rest of your time in jail. More variation is needed ...

Do you have any interest in meshing with Slaverun? There's now a pillory and an x-cross in my cell (and a table full of anal eggs, but that's probably pushing it*), and it'd be nice if they got used.
