I updated all my DD and other LL mods to the latest version and started a new game, this time using Sexlab Bound instead of LADL, so I still had a starting bounty in all holds.

 

The problem I had in my last game, where none of the guards would take my PC to the prison in Solitude, no longer happened.  I had deleted a few mods for this play-though, I think the one most likely to have caused the problem was Interesting NPCs (3DNPC).  It does add an NPC prisoner to a jail cell, so perhaps that was causing the problem.

 

The other main problem I'd had in my previous game, with the whipping animations not taking place, happened again.  I doubt it's a problem with XPO, since if I periodically reset the Sexlab animations and then use the ZAP MCM menu to reregister the animations the whipping scenes work for a while.  If anyone else is having that problem perhaps that hint will help them.

That sounds like a SexLab problem. However, PO uses it's own hidden registration, so you shouldn't have to register ZAP for this to work.

 

If you can post a log of when they don't work, I can take a look. PO logs a lot of stuff when it's running (let me know if this is annoying) so that helps me a lot in tracking down what is going on.

Is there a way to trigger specific animations at anytime you want? Something like sexlab's matchmaker?

No, sorry.

 

You can get aomething similar with registering ZAP animations, and using matchmaker for triggering those. All of the PO animations are available in ZAP, but slightly different (PO registers it's own animations).

I doubt it's 3DNPC, I've always used it and never had a problem with XPO

I doubt it's 3DNPC, I've always used it and never had a problem with XPO

 

 

 

The other mods I removed that I know modified Solitude are "Proudspire Manor TNF - Hearthfire" which rearranges and adds stuff to Proudspire Manor, and Unique Vampire Dens, which adds a vampire den under the Winking Skeever.  Maybe it was one of those.

I'm not sure if this should be posted here but its kind of related to PO so I figure I would post it here and ill just delete/move my comment if necessary.

 

So for the last month or so I have been messing around with 3ds max and, although im still learning and fairly amateur, I think I have begun to get the hang of it.  After doing quite a bit of basic animations such as different idles and attack animations I started to work on one particular animation that I think would go well with PO.  Basically the idea is something of an arrest animation.  What I have right now, and it still requires ALOT work, goes something like this:

 

Player raises hands into a surrender position

Player then moves hands to a position raised behind their head

finally each arm moves down into a position similar to the bound hands idol from ZAP.

 

Basically I was curious if this animation could be implemented into PO and played upon the players surrender to a guard.  It could even be expanded a bit to make this play similar to a pillory punishment animation and act as a paired animation with a second actor.  Basically I see it working like this:

 

Player surrenders to guard.

player plays surrender animation and places hands on top of head

guard plays a sort of "searching the player" animation where he/she pats down the player

guard then moves players hands behind his or her back

animation ends in bound hands idol from ZAP

wrist/ankle irons and gag applied to the player

 

If this can behave similar to a pillory animation it could even take advantage of crowd functionality and so NPC's will gather around and clap/cheer and generally engage in a skyrim version of rubbernecking as the player is being hauled off.

 

So thats pretty much the gist of it.  Also if someone else, much more talented then me, likes the idea and wants to try and animate this themselves by all means go right ahead (even though they probably don't need my permission anyway). 

 

Also, xaz, if this can't be done or would not be something you would want to implement then let me know?  That way I can at least stop working on something that would essentially be a useless animation haha.

 

Finally if there is a thread here on LL where I can ask questions/get help from experienced animators I would also appreciate someone directing me there.

 

Also, to make this comment slightly more related to PO, v30 works fine for me the only real issue I have to report is occasionally on arrest the player will not play the bound hands animation from ZAP and just walk like normal but with irons and gag applied.  Otherwise everything else works fine.

Proudshire Castle needs to be cleaned correctly. It seem to have deleted navmesh around solitude and only the author can solve this bug.

 

Not even TesVedit can solve this current problem.

The patch adds (somewhat) immersive handling of Devious items for the PLAYER only at present - the changes are pretty simple (as are my coding skills!). I plan to look at the possibility of limited companion support in the next few weeks.
 
Chastity belts, chastity harnesses, Bras, Plugs, armbinders and gags are removed by the jailer at the beginning of the sentence  allowing easy access to the prisoner for guards etc..
 
On release all the items are locked back on. Also (obviously due to an "Administrative error in the Evidence chest Department") any valid player chastity keys are lost!
 
If the prisoner escapes the items are "stored" and when the player is next imprisoned they are "returned" to the player on release if they were not wearing a dD item of that type when re-arrested.  It is beyond my skill to make this specific to a particular hold - so this happens wherever they are next locked up by PO (guess they are sent via UPS - "Universal Parcels Skyrim" xsmile.png.pagespeed.ic.5Yux4gu5_h.png ).
 
There are a few simple notification messages to help explain what happens as the action takes place.
 
Basically I did this to learn some papyrus scripting and for a bit more immersion - I'm sure it could be done at lot better, but this seems to work.
 
To use just install over XPO v030 - NMM or Mod Organizer recommended!
 
For the avoidance of doubt, I am a rank amateur at modding and this unofficial patch is provided "as is " to use at youir own risk!
 
Xaz is currently considering adding his own dD support to PO - if he does then this series of patches will end.
 
This version takes advantage of the new generic device functions in dD and *should* work for any correctly defined dD device. Unfortunately this means that there are too many combinations for me to test - so if you come across something that is not working let me know and I will take a look.

Known Issues
 
There may be a 5 -10 second pause when the player is arrested. This is due to the speed of the dD integration function that I use to check which dD items are equipped. I can't see a way to reduce the pause unless the dD function becomes faster (any suggestiions welcome).

I deleted all of the TNF house mods.  I like what they were trying to do with the player homes, but Proudspire Manor had a problem on the second floor where there was a wall that you could pass through going upstairs but not down, there were bad lighting problems in Breezehome and Vlindril Hall, etc.  Thanks for the information.

Do the jailors have their own AI packages and regular daily schedules? My PC went to Windhelm, got arrested outside (since using Sexlab Bound she had a bounty in all holds), was walked to the gate by a guard, but when she got inside the jailor was walking around in front of Candlehearth Hall.  The guard stopped moving for a while but made no effort to turn the prisoner over to the jailor, and after a short while the jailor walked off.  I then used the MCM option to fast forward to the jail, at which point the guard did his dialog to turn the prisoner over to the jailor, but the jailor wasn't there.  I've waited about an hour in game, and he still hasn't showed up.

Ok, just before I quit the game, my PC was in the Windhelm prison, a guard came into the cell, assumed the whipping position (he had a whip at his belt and raised his arm), but the animation did not run (although the sounds did).

Have the same problem with the whip, im trying to disable mods and reset animations to see if it could be something with that.

The guard assumes position but the whip it's still in his belt and not in the hand, then he just stays there frosty for some time and goes away like if the job was done.

Hi so ive been having a anoying problem with this mod and ive tryed so far almost everyting in the book

im not sure what im doing wrong

 

when the jailer is about to do a punishment he would just stand behind me and do absolutly nothing

 

ive got FNIS 5.1.1

latest version of sexlab

skse 1.07.00

and latest version of PO

 

... am i missing somthing??..

You have the requirements in place at least.

 

If you've had PO installed before on your system something might have glitched in an upgrade. Does this happen on a new game as well? Have you tried the restart button in MCM?

 

If none of those of those work (or you don't want to start a new game), then try posting your log here (in a spoiler section preferably :) ).

 

 

Had a similar issue uninstalled Zaz Animation pack reinstalled it still didn't work. What finally got this to work for me was resetting the sexlabs animation registry and then reregistering them through Zaz again. Was having a similar problem with SD+ haven't tested to see if this fixed that or not though. Strange thing was the animations from Zaz would play in other mods just not these two is there any known conflicts or did I just have a 1 in a million bug?

After standing around for an in game hour, I used the wait key to skip forward an hour. Still no jailor. Tried it again, and he showed up and did the escort to cell.

Here's another papyrus log.  In this one several whipping animations in the pillory in Whiterun market played OK, but then the final whipping by the jailor in the jail cell did not play (same symptom, NPC has whip at belt, does not draw it, stands with arm upraised as if to start whipping, but then makes no further motion as audio of whipping proceeds).

 

By the way, when the jailor's final whipping doesn't work, he gets stuck in the crouched pose with arm raised for the whole trip back outside the jail to release the prisoner.

Since I am trying this for the first time, and don't really know how it is supposed to work, gotta ask a couple of things:

 

* While only having a bounty of 65 gold in Riften, according to the onscreen notification XPO designated my crimes as minor, not petty, when I turned myself in there for the sake of testing the mod for the first time (that threshold I have set to 150). I have 1000+ in Winterhold though, does it look at global bounty instead of the one in the hold? Afterwards only Riften's bounty was cleared, at any rate.

 

* While the punishments in the cell were varied, outside during the day it was whipping, whipping, whipping, nothing else. 2 days in a row. Always on that X-Cross thing next to the Bee & Barb door. Is what happens there supposed to be random? I got the same scene 16 times in a row (about 8 per day), so it certainly didn't look like it :P

 

* Is sleeping in the cell a bad idea? Had the feeling sequence of events immediatly after sleeping were a little messed up, as if the scripts are trying to deal with the fact that a couple of queued scenes need to be worked through (repeated equipping/unequipping of the gag for example).

As far as I know, only the bounty in the current hold is considered.  However, you still go to jail whether it's for a major or minor crime.

 

Unless you changed the options in the MCM menu, it would be unusual to get that many whipping events in a row.  I haven't been to Riften with the current version, though, maybe the cross has some effect on the frequency.  Did you see the same in Whiterun?

 

I frequently sleep in the cell, but usually not for more than 3 hours at a time, since the punishment events by default are set to happen every 3 hours.

Tried Whiterun now, where I had a whooping 40 bounty, same thing: "You are arrested for minor crimes" or something along those lines. Now I dont actually know how that changes your prison time anyway, but I suppose the experience becomes "harsher"?

 

And yes, for the record, in Whiterun I got a proper selection of punishments now during the day outside. On the pillory. I guess when in Riften the X-Cross is picked for you, that's all there is animation wise ... whipping after whipping.

Technically the game has three levels, but PO lumps minor and petty crimes together.

OK, I just had my PC go to Riften, and there she was whipped 7 times on the cross.  Maybe there are no other punishment animations available that use the cross?

 

Anyway, in regards to the problem I'm having with the whipping animations, 6 of the 7 whippings went as expected (with the exception of the jailor standing in between the whipper and whippee twice), and one (administered by the beggar, can't remember his name) never drew the whip.  All of the successful whippers went back to their stalls or assigned places after the whipping, while the beggar didn't - he just stood there until evening when the jailor took my PC back to the jail.

I'm having a problem - whenever I get arrested and choose the 'Go to jail' option, mostly it works - couple times in Falkreath I'd get suited up with the armbinders etc, but the guard wouldn't take me anywhere. Started a new game, and this seemingly has fixed itself - the guard leads me to jail, but I get a permanent load screen every time I try to enter the dungeon after the guard?  I've done a force restart, but it didn't appear to make a difference. Neither does the 'Teleport to Jailor' option.  I have all the requirements. I am running SD+ and DA, but these worked fine with ver 029. Can anyone help?

 

EDIT: Running FNIS seems to have helped. I'm not sure why, as I'd already run it after installing PO. Regardless, it appears to be running fine now.

It's been very slow for me in unequipping my PC's weapon and putting the cuffs and gag on her.  I've had to clear the dialog myself a few times in order to get it to proceed.  But it has worked for me.  I usually use the fast forward option to skip long moves, have you tried that?  If you haven't, then when your PC has the gag/cuffs applied and is standing there with the guard, open up the MCM menu, choose the General tab, then on the lower left check the Fast Forward box.  Hit Tab until you're out of the menu, the screen should go black for a second and then you should be at the jail.
