i had quite a similiar problem, seems to be related to SexLab_v139_XPO_patch.7z, if u did install this, what i did was uninstall SexLab_v139_XPO_patch.7z and 0.25 and re-install sexlab again, i am using Nexus Mod Manager, hope this helps u.

 

Hmm this is interesting, I had forgotten to load SexLab_v139_XPO_patch.7z (this was a clean Skyrim and NMM reinstall and I'd missed the file).

 

I tried unstalling XPO25, installed XPO26 and the sexlab patch and it seems to be working perfectly now. Loaded the game a number of times and no CTD's

 

I should point out that the patch is not needed for V026 anymore. ... in fact, it's probably best not to use it and instead use the default SL files.

It's a bit academic now, there's a new SD+ version out as well today, so I'm doing a clean install. No big deal as I was very early on in the other game.

Seem to be having a lot of problems with CTD's. Uninstalled 0.25 and waited for MCM to clear, then installed 0.26 which registers okay but when I start Skyrim and try to load the new saved game it CTD's everytime.

 

I reverted back to an earlier save and having reinstalled 0.25 and that's loading without problems.

 

I've obviously missed something here but not sure what

Try a regular update, ie. just overwrite the new files.

 

Obviously this shouldn't be happening in your system, so you probably have something that's unstable...

I don't think you can reliably crash a game from scripting. You can trigger things that crash a game, like equipping items made for another skeleton or so, but not crash it by just doing something stupid.

 

Of course, feel free to prove me wrong. The patch works for everyone else, and it removes a condition for playing animations. I find it hard to believe that crashes anyones game, tbh.

 

That said, it's excellent that you got it working. The patch is no longer needed and should be removed due to the new v026 release.

 

 

yea i fully concur with your analyst, just cant explain why i'll need to re-install sexlab after i had removed the script..., but it works lol and i get to keep my saves lol.

The Bethesda 3d open world mechanics (maybe it's Havoc), doesn't play nice with characters that don't move in very specific ways, even if you take safety precautions. Starting or Ending scenes that don't fully take into account actors current position stand a random chance for them to fall through the world and they don't always come back.

 

99% of the time this is inconsequential in modding, but has an unusually high prevalence in anything sex related as those animations are so alien to the base game and anything they are designed to handle, and not every animator pays the closest attention to fine details like is the ground smooth, do the actors need to not be doing this here, is it Tuesday, that kind of thing.

 

I think the ideal way of handling this from a pure stability point of view would be to teleport all relevant actors to a cell you create and know everything about, play out the animation, then teleport all actors back to their starting locations, and just for verbosity, actually move the actors twice both ways, just in case anything goes wrong the first time. This is extremely unimmersive and if you have some kind of bad code involved, it can explode your game, as well as be CPU intensive for the users.

 

I don't actually endorse doing anything I suggest, but I hope this helps people understand problems and or limitations and maybe answer someones question of where an actor went and how far back a save they might have to load to get them back.

 

Or I could be completely wrong, that's always a possibility.

Awesome job Xaz!!! Thanks for the update. I really like the mod.

Just a suggestion: whenever you make a new update, would you be able to make a walk-through video to show us what's been added and the proper animation display? So we can report any bugs and abnormalities with the mod base on your video. Thanks!

Thanks for the update! Works even better now!

One thing to note: occasionally while in the cell, my PC would suddenly fall through the floor and teleport outside the cell, then teleport back into the cell for the sex. Aside from that, most of the other functions work well. Looking forward to the bounty hunters... and maybe followers support?

 

P.S. Also had the CTD issues during updating. When the game finally loaded, upon entering the MCM menu, I would get a popup box stating "Error, Retrieved 0, expecting 260." I noticed that v025 had script folders with sslThreadModel in it, while v026 did not. I deleted everything from v025, then replaced the sslThreadModel files from SexLab Framework v139, then installed v026, then ran BOSS. Then it worked... somehow...

That falling through floor issue is seriously annoying. No idea where it comes from or what to do about it. It's not like the mod should be force moving the player or anything, .... maybe it's something weird with the player ai control or so?....

 

More investigation required.....

 

 

same problem. except when teleport outside jail, guard arrest again, reset the day court in jail. so change to serve 2 day jail in mcm.

I'm getting this as well. I noticed that my character "flickers" and gets just a tiny bit bigger whenever (I assume) an actor is selected to come and deliver a punishment/sex scene, and then she flickers and goes back to her usual size when the scene ends. This happens whether I have "even actor height" checked in the sexlab MCM or not, and it's at these times that she occasionally falls through the floor.

 

In the first case I can just stand around until I get teleported back into the cell for the fun and games. In the latter I get an immediate extra bounty and have the choice of submitting again or resisting arrest.

 

I don't actually mind getting re-arrested too much, as it saves me going and punching the first guard I see upon release to do it deliberately  :D

 

My girl is becoming a real jailbird these days. Love this mod!  :heart:

This is such an awesome observation,...

 

It could be the problem. Even better: Since the option is there in SexLab, I'll just disable resizing actors in Prison Overhaul. No point doing it twice, and with the SL option, you can have it or not as you want.

 Evening the player's size may be causing the player's feet to be shoved below grade if the player's initial size is smaller than "1.0".  It all depends on where the added height is added, if

the players Z axis is set to the top of their head and the Z axis is not updated with the additional height then the feet could easily be pushed below grade.

 

That could explain why sometimes a partner to my size 1.0 player disappears only to appear again later having fallen from the clouds.

 

I think I'll copy this to the Sexlab support thread, it may help Ashal fix this obscure but real problem.

Excellent.... maybe this solves it then. At least from PO point of view, it will solve the size bouncing. I didn't even stop to think that it was no longer needed.

I installed the new version and DID NOT do a clean save - so if I should have, please disregard the rest of this post.

 

To see what had changed, my PC attacked a guard in Whiterun, submitted and was taken to jail.  Observations:

 

1. On being marched out of the jail to the market for public punishment, my PC was somehow transported to the market immediately, while the jailor was still up at Dragonsreach.  She then ran back up almost all the way to Dragonsreach to meet the jailor, but did not then follow the jailor back down.  Instead, while the jailor continued his walk to the marketplace, my PC suddenly appeared in stocks near the top of the Dragonsreach steps, then slowly floated down towards the market, clipping through the scenery until she finally ended up below the level of the market.  At this point I reloaded my last save and had her sent to jail all over again.  On the second trip this problem did not happen.

 

2. When she arrived at the stocks (pillories) in the market place, she was positioned so that her butt stuck out towards the center instead of towards the apothecaries shop.  I assume this is what you meant by repositioning the stocks, and I think this is a much better way of doing it.  Bravo!

 

3. During interactions with citizens punishing her (and in between being bumped by the jailor), the pillory moved a little, but then tried to snap back into place.  This worked most of the time, but once the jailor was in the way and led to the pillory bumping him and getting pushed back, until he moved.  So this is much better than it used to be, but still not perfect.  It might not be possible to fix it entirely, so I appreciate your efforts to get it as good as it is now.

 

4. Once back in the cell, she was whipped twice by guards and once by the jailor.  She was chained up all 3 times (3 different ways, by the way, I liked that), but the whipping animations did not occur and no marks appeared on her, although the sounds were played.  This is not what happened in the market place, when she was whipped there everything worked as expected.

 

All in all, a brilliant mod that I hope will continue to improve even more.

Not sure if it is a problem, but there are a lot of conflicts between this an Hearthfire.

In Tes5Edit, look at Location-> 00018A58 (RiftenLocation)

Prison Overhaul seems to overwrite 3 Actor Cell Static References from Hearthfire.  I'm not even sure if the other ACSR are even forwarded, and there appear to be a lot in hearthfire.

Nothing happens for me. 

I get arrested, disarmed, led to jail, and then when I get there everybody just stands around and nothing happens.

Any ideas on why nothing is happening?

And before anybody says "Well, y'know, if you used a clean save..." this is the first install on this mod (can't get any cleaner than that)

Did you get to the point where the jailor tells you to get in the cell?  I find that sometimes I have to manually move my character into the cell at that point to continue.  Also, if you have one or more followers with you in the jail you can sometimes get into a traffic jam where the game can't figure a path for the jailer to move so that he can lock you in the cell.

Greetings,

I am using Prison Overhaul for more than six months and i and had no problems with running it. With the last 2 versions however, when it is time for the Jailer to get me to the Pillory, the Jailer opens my cell door, puts the cuffs on, but then the jailer just stands outside of the cell. 

 

I tried the Fast Forward option to teleport to the pillory but it doesn't work and just remains checked on the MCM options. I tried this with a fresh new game as well and still have this issue. Any clues how to fix this would be greatly appreciated as this is one of my favorite mods.

hi I try say clear good as poosible since my English no good.

 

one thing funny. when time go market as punishment.

jailer said come with me dislogue. but player is whipping animation.

player make noise like she whipped, but no hear sound whipping.

jailer stand there see, do no thing. I wait long long. no thing happen.

I fast forward, no thing happen.

I quit main menu, go last save. crash my desktop auto

I configure v026 wrong? I return v025, error said upgrade error, reported 260, expected 250.

 

Got save picture hope help understand.

I have this same issue pop up on me in Windhelm - except I don't even see a cell.  Haven't tried other locations yet.

 

Also noticed in the MCM menu that once arrested, all my earlier 'specs' revert back to default.  is this normal?

Hey Guys, Love this mod Xaz!!! 

 

I was thinking of adding the Shell Bondage clothing to the drop down menu that is in the MCM but i dont know where to start. I thought about just over writing the Prisoner Rags file with the Shell Bondage, but I get a weight problem since its not linking to my HDT Body and Bodyslide. Any advice or Can I bribe someone to add this to the mod.
