Submissive Lola: The Resubmission LE/SE

So having read through the tooltips in the MCM (stellar didactic work by the way, almost every basic mechanical question I had was anticipated and answered) and played through the beginning of an enslavement, am I correct in understanding that if I wanted to roleplay being bratty and reluctant but still sink into submission I should be tuning up the submission growth rate and tuning down the submission decrease rate? Curious about how it goes in the long term with non-default values on these two.

It's up to you of course, but I suggest leaving those two settings at the defaults until you get a good feel for how things progress.  An important point is that that submission score is how the owner rates your submission, not how submissive you actually are, so rapid score gain for a reluctant slave won't make much sense unless the owner is easily fooled.  Unless you outright refuse or intentionally fail a lot, you'll find that progress is still fairly quick up to score 50, the "submissive" level.  You'll usually have a reluctant or neutral response in dialog to suit your roleplay.  You might handle it as your character decides it's easier to play along than be punished, and eventually the training does its job.  The owner is assumed to be very good at manipulation, persuasion, and awakening submissive desires that the slave might not have known she had.

Is it possible to set Minimum Daily Service to 0? I know I could just pause the mod but that also gets rid of random events

No, because offering service is at the heart of what the mod is about.  Lola is being trained to be submissive and become a good pet, unlike nonconsensual mods like SD+ that just order a slave around.  The minimum of one is really low and very easy to achieve; you don't even have to be succeed at the task, just offer.  It's especially easy when offering sex, which counts for both daily requirements.

 

Afterthought:  If the PC doesn't offer service at all, getting punished each day for not serving well enough actually fits a noncon situation and helps keep submission level low if the player chooses a non-compliant approach.

Question about the forced prostitution.

 

I somehow managed to trigger my owner making me a prostitute and I got all the requisite mods. Now, I have to service 4 people but I am not getting an option to offer myself. I have Public Whore and Radiant Prostitution installed too. Any help?

With Radiant Prostitution installed, you should talk to the local innkeeper to start RP's prostitution.  The innkeeper acts as your pimp or madame.  When you've met (or exceeded) your quota, talk to the innkeeper again to end prostitution and hand over the innkeeper's cut, then report your success to your owner.

I have a question for SLSO users.

 

For 3-way sex involving the owner, Lola, and an NPC, is there a simple and easy way, preferably without calling SLSO-specific script functions, to make it more (or less) likely that Lola or the NPC orgasms first, regardless of what the human player does?  I'm hoping for something simple, like raising or lowering starting arousal or stamina.  Also, for sex between just the owner and Lola, can the situation be manipulated in a fairly easy way so that Lola is sure to orgasm first?  It's not a big deal if it's not practical, but I wanted to ask.

As for the Masturbation Denial option, I can't remember any masturbation events or anything like that, both with it enabled or disabled (apart from "why don't you play with yourself instead" when asking for sex). Am I missing something?

Install no dances and you do the only vanilla dance - the Cicero dance. Mistress might not be too happy, but maybe you're lucky and get another whipping 😈

Yeah that doesn't really make the event any better lol, every time it happens I'm just like "oh great I get to watch my character awkwardly flail around for 10 seconds"

No, it's important for the mod to have several generic events that are always available regardless of location or time of day, so that it's not the same thing every time.  Silly looking or not, it amuses the owner.  You can install the dances from TDF Prostitution (or, for that matter, any dance mod if you rename the files) and have more to choose from.  If you do search for new dances and come across some that you like, you might share your findings here for others to enjoy.

Its purpose at the time is just to prevent manual masturbation in an immersive way, removing the easy way to reduce arousal, which can be significant with mods that penalize having high arousal.  By coincidence, Masturbation Denial has received a small enhancement for the next update, and I recently sketched out a concept for an optional simple masturbation event (which might not be included in that update).

Please understand, I consider your dialogue some of the best on this site. I just like to tailor it to my character and my tastes.

I found some nice ones in GSPoses but they're like half a second long, made to be looped. I tried replacing some TDF dances with them but they only play once, can I make them loop somehow?

I don't know how to do that.  I was going to suggest asking Gunslicer about a looping version, but I see that he hasn't been around for a while.  You might make a Request post to see if anyone can help you get a looping version.

What I did was replace the .hkx files in the the SubLola mod with ones I sourced from Gunslicer's animations. More appropriate for this mod I think.

Really? It works for me. It's been a while since I set it up, but it works.

If you remember what you did to set it up, can you offer some details to help others trying to do the same thing?  Maybe some GSPoses files work well and others don't.  If you know which ones you used and/or which TDF dances you replaced, that could give others a good starting point.

In the SL mod? I replaced the ones in the TDF mod, I don't see any hkx in the lola files

You could:

1. Tank stamina for the character orgasming last.

2. Max arousal for the character orgasming first.

3. Increase sex skill for the character orgasming last.

 

Any or all of that might actually be harder than DM'ing Ed to see if there's an easy way to soft-dep SLSO and just call its functions. It's been a long, long time since I looked under SLSO's hood, so I'm not entirely sure.

SLTR just uses the dance animation files from TDF, so replacing TDF's files will replace the TDF dances that SLTR uses.

With the setting where the follower is the one who initiates "the" conversation, if you reply you're not ready to talk about it yet (or something like that, the middle option between accepting the collar and telling the follower never to bring it up again), what's the cooldown period before they're eligible to bring it up again?

 

Also if I pick the last option, is that only an opt-out for this follower/hiring period, or will future followers also refrain from bringing it up? EG. if I tell Faendal not to bring it up again and then dismiss him as a follower, 

(a) will Faendal ask again if I re-hire him later, and
(b) will Sven, Uthgerd, Jenassa etc. still ask if I hire them?
