Simple Slavery doesn't presume to integrate with other mods unless those authors want it (some do not, for various reasons).  It looks like AHO lacks a good start for coming from a slave auction, so its author would have to add it.  The mod hasn't been updated since 2019, but the author is still active, so that might be a possibility.  Perhaps you'd like to mention this to the author.  If there's a quest that SS can start that moves the PC to the right location and kicks things off (rather than the force greeting), it could be added as another auction outcome.

Happy Friday, Hexbolt, hope you have been having a good week :)

I heard back from HaemProjects today over on the Nexus and here is their response regarding Project AHO and SS++:

So it looks like they have no objection to SS++ integration but aren't interested in doing any collaborative work on it. Not sure if DwarfSphereQ01 would be a suitable entry point or not but if so that might be an option.

Thank you for checking on this.  I haven't used the mod before, but I looked at DwarfSphereQ01 in the editor, and I see that stage 20's log entry says, "I was brazenly sold to some "Shanath Selthri". House Telvanni still practices slavery!"  I'll have to do more investigation to see how best to start the quest and get to that stage.  As long as getting it started doesn't become messy, this should be doable.  If you have any other insights or info, feel free to message me.  At this time, my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 is occupying my time, but I should be able to look into this afterwards.

Hi, I keep getting Form 43 issues? I can't ignore them, when I have the mod enabled my game won't load.

Form 43 is fine for SE and AE.  Herowynne intentionally did it that way when building the SE/AE version of the mod.  If your game won't load, you might be missing a required master.  Double check the requirements on the mod page.  If your mod manager is warning you and you don't care to see that, just open the mod in the Creation Kit and save it, though it's not necessary.

Hey, sorry if this has been asked before, I didn't read through all 90+ pages of this thread.
How do I put money aside to be used in case my character gets auctioned? (Freedom Fund) I haven't been able to find a person to talk to or a container to store gold in. I'm playing LE if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Makes no difference, currently the only way I know of is to use the MCM

The MCM? Now I'm afraid I've been missing something very obvious but I don't see an option in the MCM? There is a page explaining the Freedom Fund and it's settings but no option to add gold to it?

Spoiler

You're missing two lines, probably because your SkyUI is outdated.  Updating SkyUI should fix this.

Huh interesting. I do have SkyUI 5.1 but it's being overriden by SkyUI Away 5.0. So yea, that could be causing issues I guess. I'll try uninstalling SkyUI Away and see if that changes something.

Edit: Yes, after a little bit of uninstalling, deleting old scripts and reinstalling the MCM for this mod now works properly. I don't know how many years this issue went unnoticed lol. Thank you for helping me out!

Edit 2: I checked SkyUI-Away and noticed the mod doesn't have any scripts of it's own. During the uninstall and reinstall procedure I noticed two other mods replacing SkyUI scripts though, so either one of those must've been the culprit. SkyUI-Away is safe to use.  (I really don't like the looks of SkyUI?)

Hi,

I assume I've got a similar problem, but I can't find a solution. The lines Freedom Fund and System in MCM are missing, even in a fresh installation. Furthermore, SS++ is not seeing that public whore is installed.

Thank you for any helpful hint.

That's a good indication that you're running an old version of the mod.  Even if you have the latest version of Simple Slavery installed, if you also installed something that overrides part of Simple Slavery, such as a mystery patch that loads after Simple Slavery, you've very likely patched yourself back to an old version.

The vast majority of "patches" are not small, precisely targeted additions; instead, they completely replace major scripts, leaving you with a witch's brew of scripts from different versions.  The only safe patch for SS++ that I'm aware of is the one for Open Cities, which simply moves a door.  Look for anything in your mod list that overrides any part of SS++.  Remove it, and SS++ should work correctly.

Hi, thank you for your quick response.

I tried a new setup with only the for ss++ necessary mods with no way to get it to work properly. I assume something went wrong when I prepaired skyrim for modding ages ago so I'll try the wrecking ball method.

Anyways thanks for your support.

Simple Slavery's script names all start with "sslv", so whatever is interfering is replacing one or more of those files, if that helps.  While you're swinging the wrecking ball, also look for any old loose script files starting with sslv.

i'm hoping you can tell me how to remove collars from random NPCs in my game. I'm pretty sure Simple Slaver Plus Plus is doing that.

It doesn't do that.

That might be from SL sexual fame, either the framework or the comments. For me that was the last nail in the coffin to uninstall that mod.

There is an MCM option for redressing. Turn it off then NPC won't be getting collars.

okay, so not simple slavery since the author said no. I'm assuming the MCM option in ....defeat's npc vs npc settings for "redress"? i unchecked it seeing as how it was the only mcm menu with that option.

edit: i suspect however that the collar names are from a mod i uninstalled during this particular save. "zbf collar" or "zbf DD collar" are prominent.

2nd edit: looks like i needed to look for "allow re-equip" not "redress"...but thank you for steering me along the right search path.

New:  You can ask the auctioneer or slavemaster about the crux slave.  Responses differ with which side of the bars you're on.
New:  Expressing a special interest in the crux to the slavemaster while in the cage causes a unique auction scene to play.
New:  The crux slave has a few blocking topic lines to prevent inappropriate conversations.

how do you get the Cross scene to play? I've tried a few times but never got it to work

While in the slave pen, ask the slavemaster if you will be put on a crux, then choose the response expressing an interest in volunteering for punishment.  A different auction scene will then play when you go on the platform, in which the auctioneer mentions that you're the type who likes to be tied up and tormented.

I just get the different dialogue, not getting put on the cross, is that what's suppose to happen?

Version 6.3.20

New:  A new outcome, Indebted (Radiant Prostitution).  Requires Radiant Prostitution - RMCW Edition.
Changed:  The "pretend" enslavement topic now takes you straight to the auction on the platform.
Fixed:  The "pretend" enslavement now warns other mods not to molest you during the auction.
Removed:  Maria Eden, since that outcome hasn't done anything for a long time.

So I'm really interested in the Rad Pros indebted outcome. So how does SS++ choose where to send the player, how much debt and to what NPC do you owe the debt? Is there any way to get Rad Pros debt to an sLOLA Owner? Does it use the Innkeeper keyword or use a .json to determine NPCs?

sLOLA doesn't have a gold price for buying the player's freedom from slavery, so I'd be interested in using Rad Pros debt for that purpose instead. I use SS++ to select a random follower as Owner, and then treat them as a pimp for the purposes of Rad Pros. I'd really like to be able to use SS++ to be sent to a sLOLA Owner and also have Rad Pros debt to pay off.
