What's wrong/ maybe telling us wich mod you got enabled for simple slavery outcome would help us troubleshooting your issue, what you said is pretty vague, simple slavery just deal with the selling of PC, what happens after is a matter of wich mods you got installed and are detected by SS+, if you got issues after being sold it may be a problem with the mod dealing with the aftermath outcome and not a simple slavery issue 1
blackkatt Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 I got it to work. Seems my issue was not installing the new file from ZAZ. However now I have the issue where I'm in the cell, can walk around and speak to people but can't seem to speak to the person I need to to get released

It all seems to be working except I saw I was supposed to speak to a slaver by the cell. There is a man there but he just gives the standard hello there... nice day.. etc no actual conversation. There is also a slave at the far end of the cell but also just standard conversation. So I'm unclear who I'm supposed to be speaking to as there are only two options

I'm assuming that you're now talking about the slave market. Earlier, you had mentioned a ship. Something seems to be wrong with your installation. Something is really not right with your installation, or you're describing something other than the slave market.

The first time I said on a ship cause I was laying on a floor and couldn't turn around so that's what it appeared to be to me at the time. Now that I fixed that issue I see three slaves chained up, they all give generic responses like huh, what etc. At the far end of the area is a slave think her name is Henrietta Jacobs and there is a man next to the cage named John Randall. Speaking to all of these people is giving me simple generic responses and not getting me released. So am I missing something? I assumed John Randall was the one to talk to but it doesn't seem to work.

In Plus Plus, those two are just named Slave and Slavemaster. You said earlier that you had switched to Plus Plus. It looks like that didn't work, or possibly you have both versions active. If you're not far into your game, starting a new game should clear up the problem with Plus lingering around. Edited May 29, 2023 by HexBolt8

If it doesn’t look like it’s installed, remove SS++, go into the scripts folder and remove any lingering scripts that start with SSLV_ then reinstall.

New: The crux slave has a few blocking topic lines to prevent inappropriate conversations. Changed: If "Remove inventory when enslaved" is enabled and you're freed by your Freedom Fund, your items are returned. Changed: There is now only one topic to start the auction, "When do I get out of here? [Start auction]" Changed: You now have different remarks to make to the Slavemaster on your first, second, and subsequent enslavements. - These are based on the old system that attempted to track the number of enslavements. That works now. Changed: Removed the pillar behind the Slavemaster so you can easily have a face to face conversation. Changed: You should more reliably be facing forward when you arrive in the slave pen. A horse costs 1000 gold, do you think a slave is cheaper then a horse ? If the slave has to work as a prostitute to get her price back, how many clients she has to do if she is bought for 400 ? Make ot 4000 and you get a ealistic price. even above 10k , simply prices x 10. one more thing. Instead of leaving her free if no appropriate mod is installed, she get an innkeeper as master, who prostitutes her in that inn. - Well, if the player has no prostitution mod that starts at an inn, then ss++ really doesnt need to be installed.- It is a bit work, but ss++ becomes more independent. Really, the list of mods to go to looks long, but if you want to choose one you end up with a srapyard except Lola. Most are old and buggy, some are strange and unusable, some dont work at all like, Maria Eden. (still in the list, as i said, a scrapyard)

As you probably know, items for sale at auction typically have a listed minimum price, or "asking price". The first bid must be that price or higher. All prices mentioned during the auction are increases to the minimum price. For example, here is the first line from one scene: "Next up is a strong specimen, but attractive too. Good for fields, mines, or bedrooms. Who'll offer the asking price?" Bidders then offer amounts more that the asking price (which is never stated), much like raising the bet in poker, until no one raises the bid. ("Twelve hundred over minimum going once....") I will remove Maria Eden in the next update. Even back in Simple Slavery Plus, that outcome did nothing. In past discussions, there was no practical method of triggering Maria Eden after the auction that was acceptable to the author, so it's remained in the list as a do-nothing placeholder.

Actually, i think about this often, and yes, a horse would cost more. Unless the buyer is a brothel or pimp, a horse provides much more value for the coin. A horse works harder and costs much less to feed. Field slaves would have about the same longevity, whereas mine slaves would be worked to death in a relatively short time. All-in-all, much more bang for the buck from a horse, excepting whores, of course, who earn coin for the owners. But since there probably is no way SS can differentiate which mods are which, it remains to the player to decide what is best for their game.

The FedEx of Skyrim! They even know (mostly) the way on their own. I would be very offended if at the next SS++ auction my PC is set free and instead all buyers bid on one horse (in chains). ? Being sold is humiliating enough, but when a horse also steals the attention.... ? 1

Since you didn't say you'd selected any, that's probably what happened. Beyond that, check that you do not have any old loose scripts lying around. The MCM should have 3 pages: "Settings", "Freedom Fund", and "System". A recent version will have Dealing With Daedra as a possible outcome.

Your MCM screen shot shows that you have no enslavement mods installed. Simple Slavery has nowhere to send you after the auction, so it releases you. You must install at least one enslavement mod, and then select in Simple Slavery's MCM.
