I need help getting started...
As for the installation, I did everything right.

Spoiler

1. I created a new profile in vortex.
2. I installed (enabled) all the mentioned requirements.
3. I didn't need to disable any other bondage mods, since when creating the new vortex profile all my mods had been disabled.
4. I installed "MariaEden-2021-06-11.7z" and enabled all plugins.
5. I disabled "devious devices integration.esm" and "devious devices expansion.esm."
6. I installed "HavokFix64 (when using frame rate > 50)".
7. I was able to do this: "enter directory <skyrim>\data\sound\voice\MariaBase.esm and execute create_junctions.cmd"
I'm only missing this step:
"enter directory <skyrim>\data\sound\voice\MariaProstitution.esp and execute create_junctions.cmd" since "create_junctions.cmd" did not exist.
8. Run "FNIS" and build in "Bodyslide"..then Deploy mods.
9. I opened the game and started a new game (using the QUICKSTART cell)(I selected Prisoner), waited for the MCM to finish loading(I selected to automatically install SLAL animations) and then waited for them to install.
10. I save the game - I close the game - I open the game and load the game.
11. When I leave the cage I see a table with 2 books completely in German (I didn't translate them and I don't know German).
  I also see a Barrel that I can't interact with, due to not having lockpicks.
  I also see a chest with several items, which appear to be different Outfits.

Every time I try to grab anything inside that chest my game has a "ctd"! And now I'm at the desktop with the game closed -.-

I also tried starting as "Slave" which took me to a different cell (I think it was in Solitude, but I can't remember).. In which I was behind bars, in an auction house with 2 NPCs walking around. But I couldn't interact with anything.. I was just stuck in there.. I finally managed to get out using the "tcl" console to go through the walls. I see that there are some cupboards right on the other side... but when trying to grab anything from there... ctd!!

What did I do wrong and what should I do to be able to play this mod?
I saw a lot of positive comments and I would really like to try this mod.

ME is a great mod and worth a try. But it's not up to date on current Skyrim. So either back up to previous version using whatever the deupdate mods are out there or you'll have to wait till next release, which may be soon but also may not be. Cant rush the mod author as we're not entitled to anything. 

 

Due to the hassle I'd just wait, if you're still in to Skyrim when the next version comes out then great. Unfortunately Bethesda have a habit of breaking the mod community - Last time it happened I quit modding altogether and just lurk the ME page every now and then ha ha

I've never played the SE version. I did enjoy the LE version. I also plan to wait to see what progress the author makes on the SE version. Working for nothing more than the possibility of donations takes a certain amount of dedication, so I don't expect it tomorrow (in fact I don't expect mod authors to produce fun, working mods, I simply hope they do).

For my part, I will continue trying to install the version that is already published here and I will try to play it...

I can't remember what's inside the chest but as a guest have you got Zaz Animation pack v8.0 plus installed? - There shouldn't be any issue having devious devices installed as well so you should be safe to re-enable them. 

 

As to German- If you want English (and assuming you are installing the 2.5.3 version) English translations are on page 9 of this thread - Scroll to bottom as there are 2 sets of translations.

Thank you! In fact the problem is the "Devious Devices" which I installed but with the "plugin" disabled. Enabling it solved everything.

 

As for the translations, I installed them and they work well, now I have the dialogues and the menu in English. However, the NPC comments provided by this mod are still in German without subtitles... so I can't advance the quests since I don't know what to do.

 

Is there a way to turn on the subtitles?

The voices are actually quite well done, but if you don't understand German your character will get into trouble.  The easiest way to get subtitles in your language is to delete all the voice files in the ME package (in Sounds/Voice folders in mariaprostitution, mariabase and mariaquests).

Subtitles would appear as long as you have Fuz Ro D'oh installed and you have enabled the dialogue/subtitles in settings from the Skyrim menu.

Doing vacation from modding, gathering inspiration from the great mod

 from my perspective, this is one of the best BDSM mods ever made here on LL.

 

When I'm back from vacation, I'll likely release MariaBase - it is stable now. With MariaBase you get the npc/location/outfit/slavetats/devious device manager as the common base.

The location mods slavery & prostitution are almost completely migrated to Devious Devices.

 

Commonwealth Slavers inspired me to focus on one location - the bandit guild - and add repeatable tasks for a guild whore (enslaved, of course). Most of the tasks are already there, but I bound them to the follower who can be everywhere and everyone, which makes it very hard to keep an interesting lore alive. I had to consider so much influencing factors (quests, locations) that it ate up most of the modding time to keep control over NPCs and scenes.

 

With the focus on one location and a fixed group of NPCs I can gain much more control with much less effort - in exchange for less fun repeating the game.

 

Similar to Commonwealth Slavers, MEP it is meant to play as a singular BDSM quest mod.

 

Nevertheless, I am eagerly awaiting the release of the RedKit for Cyberpunk (My Plan: V becomes a Joytoy pimped out by fingers, one step before being sold to snuff moviemakers) and CreationKit for Starfield - player becomes a flying courtesan (similar to Inara Sera in firefly).

That's interesting, I've heard of commonwealth Slavers but never really put much time in to modding FO and can see the appeal of Starfield/Cyberpunk in future, but didn't know there was a fleshed out modding scene yet (not that I play either on PC anyway).  Thanks for responding

CS is a fantastic mod and glad you tried it and got some inspiration from it, however being bound to a follower is what made your mod so unique and given that one follower could have a completely different personality to the one before and the randomness of what may happen makes it such a wonderful mod to play with repeatable value.

 

So I was originally sad to hear you wanting to change direction but, on reflection, there are newer follower mods (lola / DF) out there which I think will plug that gap (may even compliment) with your new direction. And i assume with a smaller fixed number of NPC's there's still the follower relationship going on. 

 

I hope you'll be able to retain many of the features you mentioned in your post on page 23 (13th Jan) , the couple of features, one which I still consider ground breaking, is when you're registered as a slave, people notice your change in status and treat you as such.  And also the training schools you're sent to for re-education.. 

 

I hope both these features still manage to retain an appearance. .. and maybe finally get to experience house of pain/torture locations that were never used.

I like the idea of being a traveling courtesan for Starfield. Could do it as a Mission Board and/or Agency that hands out assignments. Not only could have clients with excessive tastes but also missions for reporting in to the Agency for additional training and body upgrades. 

 

From what I can tell from playing around with SF1Edit, its fairly easy to create new backgrounds and traits with some functionality. Integrating them into the dialogue/narrative would require the CK though.

You could play as the whore in Firefly.

As announced - I start with the Maria Eden Base - this is the foundation for Maria Eden Prostitution.

You can use it stand alone (no quest, no game play changes) and it is NOT compatible with the old Maria Eden Prostitution.

 

Main Focus of Maria Eden Base are the managers - especially the outfit manager.

MEP will follow later, I have to do a lot of cleanups before I can release it.

 

I want to change my focus to Starfield modding as soon as BDSM and Sex frameworks are available there, since I prefer SciFi over fantasy and lost any hope that there will be something similar to CreationKit for Cyberpunk 2077 before my retirement.

MEP is player enslavement and player prostitution. There are some NPC whores working in brothels just for decoration / immersion.

Thanks for your work so far. Well.. they said the new Elder Scrolls should come after the Next Fallout, or vice versa? IDK exactly, but man that would be cool!

Anyways.. sorry for bothering you again but it could be i missed something or failed through the installation process. If i run FNIS i get following error

">>Warning: AnimationList found in  "Animations\MariaBase", but no corresponding Behavior file. Incomplete mod IGNORED.<<" 

Does anyone else has the same issue?

Wow. really shows how popular this mod is with all the comments post release. I'll give it a quick spin when I can. 

 

Thanks for the continued work - I'm going to wait for the presumably final version of prostitution and do a full build around these then!

Behavior file is indeed missing. It's very easy to generate with FNIS for Modders. Just point it at the _list.txt file in the animations folder. And if you don't know where the output goes you can look at any animation pack to see the proper folder structure. I don't have it installed yet, or I'd just run it and share my copy.
