I don't get how translation files might be breaking something I believe the trick for using the translation is to turn on subtitles for the game. There is a change of scope I want to express: I am removing large parts of the old MEP - especially those parts that are one-timer shows I focus a lot of a deep integration of DD, but this does not change my main focus on covering a complete role playing experience. You will get a MEP that utilizes almost all aspects and features of DD, but it will still not play well with other mods that do changes on the actor and it's followers. If you're gonna play MEP, it's a MEP game. Since I am a clothing fetishist, a huge part of next MEP is about controlling the look of the player. You might know the current MariaEden with its outfit system. This will become much more extended. People will react on your look, the main game play will be very much influenced by your look. And since I give all NPCs a memory, all the impacts are persistent. At the end, this means you need a lot of time for preparation to settle outfits and classify armor before you can start. It does matter if an item is a nose piercing, a heel, a wig, a nipple piercing etc. Since there is no real common keyword library, you have to do this classification once in your game. Even next MEP will not be a mod to extend the Skyrim experience - it remains to be a replacement. I try to integrate all mods that fit into my vision. In contrast to the old MEP there are much more MOD integrations - so in principle you need a huge mod list to gain the same role play experience as I have in my mind. In my vision, Tamriel is a rude place full of misogynists. The role play I prepare is starting as a low life in a cold and harsh world. Everyone like to humiliate the player. It is a hard NSFW experience and will cover also controversial aspects. The prostitution aspect becomes much more weight, and I try to implement this in a way that somehow makes sense. Mod integrations so far: DD NG including Contraptions - long time I had my doubts about DD, but DD NG has blown away any of them. DD NG is perfect. Sexlab - I switched to Toys framework and OSL, but the one has died, and the other does not play well with DD and a harsh NSWF experience. OSL Aroused - this one is finally mature enough, so I started to migrate my internal system towards arousal. Slave Tats - I treat Tats as outfit parts, this makes very much sense - if you ever compared Tats based lingerie with mesh based you will see immediately why. Slap da But - the player should feel the misogyny first hand, how can this better being experienced than by males clapping the but of the player? Interactive Wash Basins - NPCs will notice when you are covered with cum, so keeping you clean after a job is essential. MEP is a very language-heavy mod. So what's the plan? I am doing cleanups and putting unstable quests on a blacklist. I expect a release this year in a very rough stage - the player behaviour control and the NPC AI is so complex that it needs support (goodwill) by the player - I added a lot of cheats to skip broken parts, but it will probably never be a fully self-driven user experience - it will be more a role-play where you are in charge to drive the lore and keep it alive. It would enable you to have complete controll of all dependancies and conflicts whilst making it simpler for the user to install. You could also use MCM recorder to set all options to your liking for the player. You could have as many outfits/accesories as you like from nexus or LL and integrate them as you wish using patches contained within your mod. Player conflicts with other mods would be non existant as the entire modlist would be chosen by you.

And since it has very editable ini files that make it easy to choose who will be slaves and what gear they will wear. I've been using it for several games and like how it works and it was recently updated. I used to have some crashes with the Hydra mod.

Hydra does not simply turn NPCs into Slaves, it adds masters with one or more slaves who are following. I had also support for But unfortunately this one causes troubles, so I dropped the support. But there is a light support for this one

Atm, even after a reinstall, if I select, say the barmaid clothes for hooker clothes, when I get that hooker clothes item thingy, it's equipping nothing.

I really like the vision and setup you've planned. Two comments: 1) I love the attention to the atmosphere you're aiming for. In my opinion, if you want a really great experience, you should have the player start from one or more "poor" situations, and drive it towards the "nsfw" parts gradually. And always in my opinion one of the best ways to do that (and also fun for the player to roleplay in) is to play with the money: you need to have one or two mods that kind of limits\simulates an harsh world where work\money is difficult to obtain, so a lot of people have to use other means to survive. (I'm pretty sure there're "economy mods" that can do that, but there's probably a lot more that I don't know). There could also be "gameplay phases", like the classic barmaid job, but maybe I'm asking for too much. 2) I hope you'll be able to reach a finished state for the mod\experience, all the work you put in deserves much more attention than it has now, and the only way is to get out of this persistent alpha\beta stage. You hear how the other captives get through a hell - now the guard comes to fetch you because it is your turn - in progress. starting in Volkihar, Harkon is already dead, Serana is the Boss now, you gonna be presented to an envoy of Molag - the outcome changes the whole Game. Finished. starting in a slave auction. Finished starting in a brothel. Finished starting as captive in a cell of the embassy of the thalmors. Getting through an interrogation. Not decided if I try to integrate the existing interrogation mod or doing it on my own. Planned. starting as a captive in a random fort. Almost finished. starting at a farm as a farmer's slave. Planned. starting in a mine as worker (for mining and miner's enjoyment). Almost finished. starting in a public execution. A very quick story - you simply come to go. I couldn't find a recent, complete file - i umderstand it's an overhaul. Is there a way out of the mod? Readme suggests killing the pimp -> then if you manage to remove the collar are you free forever? - does it support SLP+? - does it support deviously enslaved redux? It is cited in DE readme that Maria Eden is an outcome, but at the same time, Maria Eden seems to be implying that you will quickly get enslaved anyway so idk - does it support devious followers latest version? I imagine some, if not most, of the things I like are on the cutting room floor, but fwiw, here's a couple things ME adds to the world I'd personally love to see stay: the menu system. it's surprising how often and useful I find the cheats and the hotkey poses (jump ahead a few feet is awesome) the brothel npc-npc scenes. these add so much life to the world, that it is not just the player with agency. the auction. simple slavery is great, and it would be easy to just use that, but i enjoy the ME specific scene as well the one thing i'd be happy to see go is being given a task but not catching what it was, and having no way of finding out what it was. re: mcmrecorder - I find it so useful I don't think I'd play without it anymore. I just have it flagged with a note in MO2 to remember to disable it (and locking it in place before I do) any time I'm compiling scripts, along with the other things that only need to be activated when compiling (old skyui, etc.). I've never found it to interfere with gameplay, but if it does, it could always go at the bottom of the load order, be used to load all the mcms, and then deactivated after saving. That's a pain, but still less of a pain than manually configuring a hundred mcms.
