What happened?

 

It seems like this community is tearing itself apart. Can anyone provide any more context as to what happened/caused all this? I noticed old AAF mods aren't on AAF's Discord server any longer.

 

Any context is much appreciated.

In case you ex-AAF Discord mods aren't coming back, I'd just like to thank you all for the past (nearly) 4 years. AAF's Discord was THE place to ask anything FO4 modding-related (whether it was NSFW or not), and you were always there. Thank you all!

The guide was clean as hell and as someone who has never modded before I was able to get everything working perfectly after a bit of troubleshooting, looks like I read it just in time.

At the moment you can find it in Google's cache and in The Internet Archive, though there's no guarantee those will continue to exist.

Hey, just wanna to say that I'm very new here, only a couple of days into Fallout 4 modding and really knew nothing about it before reading this guide. But then I reinstalled mods a couple of times, asked some questions here and thanks to you guys @Saya Scarlett @vaultbait I learned many things that I didn't know before, and I really appreciate it. Now I'll continue exploring the world of fallout modding and I hope that someday I will make my own contributions. Without you all this would not have happened, so thank you once again, you are great ?

You can use either. Keep in mind both are "new" now, development on the original Buffout 4 has resumed and is happening in parallel with the "NG" fork.

I tried both and went back to the orignal (non-NG). In the doubt, don't enable the "archive limit" option.

There was Buffout 4 NG with PDB support for a few months when OG Buffout 4 development seemed to have stalled, but the last upload for that NG fork was in February, so it's now the one going stale.

Let's please not attach labels like "crazy" to people, especially when they've written something you admit you find useful. The guide was gone for less than 24 hours, and was never really "gone" as people posted links to cached versions elsewhere and even put up a copy of it briefly during the few moments when it was on hiatus.

I followed this guide, but for some reason only LooksMenu work. Other mods don't work or work partially like TortureDevices. It's in MCM menu, but there is no category for things added by mod in workshop. Also I didn't get any messages after character creation.
