I know its mostly focused on leito's animations. Many errors with missing positions in aaf log ... Except that the animations (FF) that auto equips strap ons are not properly set. Most part was clipping. And that was a 'fix' under the download section. strap on with zex bones... I made my own fix and some SC FF patch. just today. So, i would need to use this fix as well to have SAM properly working?

LynErso666 Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 (edited) Beautiful work, omfg. I can't believe this. I was expecting all kinda nonsense trying this. I couldn't do it a few years ago cuz i wanted to use different skeletons, but omg, it was seeeeeamless. Everything has been running perfect for days of plays. I can't believe how easy this was, and how awesome "The Fucking Manual" is. So comprehensive and clearly written. Much appreciation for this. Just wanted to let ya know, Racemenu 1.6.20 with no body morph problems whatsoever. No breaks, no nothin. It works flawlessly with 1.6.20 as far as I'm concerned. Ofc I should mention I use DFS, Zex Skeleton for the masc and Legs for Days Knee Fix for femme, and yeee iz awesome. I be using 3BBB as well. Hmm Idk what else is relevant. Harassment? Use that and Sex Em Up, and I think I downloaded too may animation mods so I kiss editing xmls goodbye lol 461 xmls? oooof no way. My second time testing was kewl, and it worked. My first time testing also was kewl and worked, but MCM for AAF never showed up. I did not care, it all worked fine. I feel like this is a mod u can't screw up installing honestly. But I mean, I guess i have been modding dese games since I was a teenager, so there's that. But amazing work, and massive shoutout to absolutely everyone involved, everyone who donates, whatevs, you're awesome. Thanks a million. Edited July 27, 2023 by LynErso666
Guest Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 not really sure if anyone can help me as i tried searching internet and nothing came up but for some reason Buffout 4 causes FO4 to crash, this doesn't generate any F4SE logs or anything, the only logs i have is preloader which I uploaded. I changed the preloader to OnThread, and if i change it to OnProcess then the FO4 launches. As for the Buffout 4 requirements(VC Redist) not only have i installed them in the right order and got the same error, i installed Every single VC redist there is and still same error. Btw just for the info i am using mod organizer, and i wish this guide was much simpler as installing everything one by one took me around 1.5 hours and another 1.5 hours trying to figure out what the problem is and just giving up. xSE PluginPreloader.log

I would triple check all the requirements, their install folders, and anything related. Worst comes to worse, start uninstalling stuff until it works. Be very patient with this type of thing. But I would definitely check with Buffout. The very idea of a Buffout crash is completely foreign to me and I've used it since it was out. I can't even imagine how frustrating that must be. But if you post your buffout log or whatever log you think will be necessary (in a spoiler) on the Nexus page for Buffout, Fudgy and others are very good at getting back to people. You might even also try posting in the Nexus forum for mod troubleshooting using Buffout as a tag, and in the title. I really hope u get it solved soon. Just take a breath and remind yourself you'll get it figured out and it'll be worth it when u do. Peace, and good luck Edited July 27, 2023 by LynErso666

Peace, and good luck Thanks but oh well, I asked on multiple mod pages that could be related to the buffout, however here's what i learned from trying and fixing it for another 2 hours. Buffout 4 completly refuses to work and even launch, the preloader.log doesn't even show that buffout4 is there. And when i deleted preloader, the game launched however only like 10 percent of the mods were actually working, everything else even though displaying in mods load order, did not work. Buffout 4 NG on the other hand leaves those weird logs, i tried installing the old version and it left me logs where i was missing a dependancy, but after fixing that it still gave me the same error even though it should've worked fine. Also it would be cool if there was like a person with whom i could chat in real time, as it would be easier to show and explain what have i tried and what have i not, and if there's even a solution to this. I currently suspect several problems that might have lead to this; the first one would be that i am running my OS on a VM and its not something i can change at all, unsupported graphics drivers or smth as my GPU is workstation gpu and not regular consumer's one, something is wrong with dependencies and something like visual studio might have broken(even though i reinstalled it multiple times and installed every single year of VC redist there is), and the last one that i am betting on is that something is wrong with my fo4 installation as CC content keeps popping up in the folder and thats weird, or i might've messed up on a random step in the installation. I could do a full reinstall of the FO4 but it's really tedious installing each mod one by one, would be much simpler if someone could send me the base installation of the AAF (preferably without any sub-mods or animation packs, but any is good) Also i would suggest making like a .rar archive with the base installation or making a mod organizer set up thingy, and so that people would be able to just add optional stuff without spending an entire hour of just downloading the baseline mods. Thanks again.

ChaoticEnergy Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Unironically, It Just Works is a great way to describe Fallout 4 and the modding scene. I cannot tell you how many times I have said "It Just Works" to myself whenever my dumbass mods somehow mesh together somewhat coherently.

And after another 3 hours I identified the issue, it was a naming problem, as my Documents folder name had contained non english characters and as thus couldn't be loaded by fo4 mods and they gave un explained errors. After a fierce battle with OneDrive and linking unlinking documents folders, I can finally say that after so many hours spent, I can finally play FO4, thanks for help

Can you explain what you mean by "animations are 404" (like give us the actual error messages you're seeing)?

How i did it: Delefe old aaf, install new aaf, there was no message npc just stand in the same place, aaf UI seems to work, identifies each animation but nothing happens like if the name was the only thing present, then i deleted new aff and installed the even older nexus version and all worked again all in MO2. Im confused.

Note that there is a behavior regression in 171 where scenes scripted to use specific furniture can fail the way you describe if the scene data doesn't specify a reference to the furniture location to play on. This is currently only known to impact a handful of animations used in early quests for the Nuka Ride mod, where the author didn't think to specify the furniture locations (later scenes in that mod are set up in a more robust manner). This is fixed in test releases of AAF, but should hopefully be solved in a public release within the next few weeks if all goes well (based on second-hand reports of chatter in the AAF Discord).

I had no problems with 171 and set up scenes with its on-screen UI which ran fine, though I also used it with a variety of other mods that call AAF to start scenes (Violate, Harassment, Hardship, and so on). You could check the AAF log in the admin view of its UI, or ask for assistance in the help channels of the AAF Discord like the beginning of the manual recommends.

vaultbait Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 1 hour ago, Dasafox said: should i combine or overwite instead of deleting old fist? I'm not sure I understand what you wrote, but if you're asking whether to uninstall the old version of AAF before installing a new version, the answer is yes. Pretty much always uninstall old versions of any mod before installing new versions. I don't know of any mod that has done "incremental" updates since years. In the rare cases where a mod author releases a "hotfix" which you're supposed to install over top of an already installed version of the mod, they clearly describe it as such (or call it a "patch" or whatever).
Benmc20 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Uh hoooo ... Just seen in the AAF Wii : https://bitbucket.org/dagobaking/aaf-framework/wiki/Main/CHANGELOG.md#!changelog Quote Nexus Compatibility Note Requires: Fallout 4 - 1.10.163 / F4SE - 0.6.21 / LooksMenu - 1.6.20 [Unreleased] [Beta 172] - 2023-07-23 Fixed Animations not starting when a location is designated through tags rather than direct setting entry. Re-fixed fonts. Added Clarifications to Error 44. Included the target location so users can potentially catch more issues when troubleshooting. ignoreActorLocations setting to SceneSettings. This allows turning off actor locations as options for the scene. Fallback routine that tries alternative locations (not always available) if the first location fails to match with a valid position. As far as I understand, it's for the future public version of AAF. For now, we must stick to the 1.6.18 of Looksmenu.

Interesting since none of the entries in the ChangeLog mention addressing the penis morph problems users were reporting with LM 1.6.19 and later, so I wonder why the sudden choice to update that recommendation. I've been using 1.6.20 for years anyway, so I don't really care, I'm more just curious about what led to the reversal of opinion about it.

There is probably a workaround implemented in AAF/LLFP for LM 1.6.20 morph issue. I'm suer that the fix exists but not sure if it was implemented or not. You can ask Ego about it.

FWIW I've been using AAF 172 from Patreon with latest included LLFP and still see approximately the same frequency of occasional "flacidity" glitches as with earlier releases (which is to say not all that often, and mostly only outdoors in busy areas), but it's also likely that something about my system and selection of mods is making me less susceptible to whatever the problem was in the first place. If there is a "fixed" f4ee.dll floating around somewhere, it would be good to make sure that it includes the fixes from Buffout 4 (an occasional crash bug) and Immersive Nail Polish (the overlay tracking bug).

The problem is that you can't just upload a fork of f4ee without permission (like "Nail Polish" did) and LM's author is AWOL so Snapdragon devised a way to fix the issue indirectly (it's complicated).

Agreed, though also rants like this aren't entirely helpful either. Hopefully @Expired6978is around again at some point (looks like they merged changes for skee64 two months ago) and can either resume maintenance or clarify permissions for members of the community to continue it. 1
hogsmaws Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 (edited) does anyone know why this AAF is stuck at 68%? and this is the AAF I have installed I clicked the link for the 171.0 AAF and it was some weird website that I couldn't find any download for the file? Edited August 6, 2023 by hogsmaws 1
