Bad Dog's Horse Race

So, I was able to make a BodySlide project for the female parts, and it's working just fine now. However, I am a bit confused about which SoS addon does what. Horse gives males a static schlong and females a snatch (makes sense), Horse Hoodie gives males a hoodie schlong (makes sense) and females a futa schlong (doesn't make sense)(this is working correctly after another SoS restart), Horse Hoodie Futa only applies to males and works like Horse Hoodie (doesn't make sense), and Horse Male and Futa gives males a static schlong and females a futa schlong (makes sense). I wouldn't even mind working with this, but the problem is that I can't set one to only affect females or only affect males. If I change the settings, they apply to both. So, I can't find a way to give the males Hoodies and the females a snatch with the occasional female packing without at least half of the guys having a static schlong instead. Assistance in this regard would be nice.

EDIT: Things changed after restarting SoS again. I still can't find a way to have what I want, though, due to Horse Hoodie Futa not applying anything to females.

Great work Bad Dog, been wanting equine styled race in Skyrim for a while so this is awesome.

I have an issue I'm wondering if anyone has insight on. I have the race & npcs working in-game and I'm trying to use horse hoodie, which show up in the SOS menu and get equipped onto the male npcs. However, only the non-erect model shows and they never change.  I have no problems with other SOS or with BD hoodie on argonians, lykaios etc.

I do not have BDHorseSOS.esp installed, and I've restarted/cleaned SOS via menu in-game if that is relevant. If anyone has an idea for a solution the help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Quick check shows the futa schlong in the Hoodies file has the wrong SOS gender setting. But there's no real reason to use this schlong, because I haven't done a full set of unsheathing meshes. Might as well just use the futa schlong in the regular SOS file.

As I said, though, I can't seem to get SoS to apply a dual-gender option to only one gender. The settings for one gender are applied to both, even if I switch which gender I am editing in the upper right corner of the MCM. Thus, if I use the futa schlong from the regular sos addon, some of the male NPCs have the regular as well. If someone can show me how to prevent/fix this, that would be great, as that would make it workable on my end.

Alternatively, perhaps the addons could be re-divided into BD Horse Female (snatch), BD Horse Futa (snatch + static schlong), BD Horse Male (static schlong), and BD Horse Hoodies (hoodies schlong), with the possibility of a BD Horse Hoodies Futa (snatch + hoodies schlong) in the future, so that each addon affects only one gender at a time? That way we only edit the settings for one gender at a time, and there's no possibility of it messing up the other gender.

If necessary, I can re-summmon the NPCs I put in coc-qasmoke to test all of this and take some screenshots illustrating my problem.

Yeah okay, now I remember why I split the female schlongs in the first place, so you could have different probabilities for the different sexes. I'd sorta forgotten.

I was going to be debugging this today but then I thought it would be cute to have a LAL extension where you could start as a member of the herd outside Whiterun and I'm still hassling with getting LAL to recognize the new quest.

K, some new files up. The SOS file separates male and female: Female pussy and depend on SL for the strapon; female futa, male hoodie.

There's also the LAL file that lets you start as a member of the herd outside Whiterun. I gave you a relationship that lets you recruit followers except it's not working for females so you still have to hire them.

Horse Overlays V3

FemZeb2.jpg

I was too lazy to make an fancy ad this time.

Updated zebra stripes + female version, courtesy of @Flawn!

This one includes everything:

- Belly overlays for both males and females

- Socks for both in 4 variations

  - Long

  - Short

  - Even border

  - Uneven border

- @Flawn's zebra stripes head and body for males and females, both solid and tintable versions

- Appaloosa spots head, body, hands and feet for females

- Giraffe spots head and body for males and females

Fits UNP and SOS.

Get them here:

HorseOverlaysV3.7z

If you want to use head paints, be sure to enable head overlays in nioverride.ini!

Actors with head paint applied getting decapitated causes guaranteed CTD so either disable decaps completely with VioLens for example or just don't get decapitated.

This mod is quite neat if you combine it with the bird race, give your horse person wings and they become a Pegasus.

Now that the race is at 1.0, I'll look into updating to this version of it and merging my tweaks so any other edits I make can also work with the "released" version out of the box.

And I say that because I'm going to see if I can fix the issue with the lack of hiring dialogue for the characters that are meant to be hirelings. I already patched my edited version with hackjob-ed dialogue that nevertheless seems to do the trick without the need to pack new scripts or anything.

I also have tweaked stats and inventories (including everyone getting a bridle) for the members of the herd that should spice things up a bit with them. May even look into giving some of them the human-texture eyes so there's some diversity and not all of them use the same two base horse-like options.

I'll report back once I'm done and know whether it works out or not, but nevertheless, @Bad Dog think you would be interested in this tweak? Can always skip the NPC edits if you want (except for voice type ones for hirelings, since those are required for the dialogue to work), but at the very least the hireling dialogue fix should come in handy so they can finally be hired  as intended.

Sure, always interested to steal stuff. ?

All the herd now responds to you but things are still a bit wonky. Should be that if you join the herd with LAL everyone's happy to follow you immediately; if you're not a horse at least the 4 younger should be hireable. If you're a horse but didn't start in the herd it could go either way.

I put a chest with some horse gear in it out by the herd but didn't even think of putting any of the gear on the NPCS.

Posted

As it stands right now, I've changed their classes and gear around like this:

Quote

Halifa -> Mage

Moonbeam -> Heavy Armor Akimbo Swordswoman

Shahira -> Light Armor Ranger/Archer

Thunder -> Heavy Armor Spellsword

Sunshine -> Heavy Armor 2H Warrior

Buck -> Light Armor Swordsman

Moonbeam and Sunshine should be hireable from the start, the others have the required follower factions but lack the relationship with the player so they will only be available as followers if you use the LAL start (so they are all at least friends with the player) or if you can increase their relationship in any way (console commands, banging them with SLEN until they are buddy-buddy with you, etc.).

(Speaking of relations, all the entries included in the LAL plugin seem to list them as "Siblings" of the PC. Don't think there's many mods that read those kind of relationship tags for the PC if any and AFAIK they are only used by the game in minor NPC-NPC stuff like grieving dialogue when you kill a spouse/relative, but is that an oversight or are all of them meant to be siblings including the PC? Because since there's no other horses that would make inter-species relationships ingame, huh, interesting, lol ?).

Anyhow, any thoughts on the layout above? Alternatively, any suggestions for outfits/gear for them, who would be supposed to be the leaders/high-ranking members to get the fancy bridles while the others get plain ones, that kind of stuff? Or should I just eyeball it?

Thunder is the leader. Halifa is head mare. (The LAL quest note references Thunder but I haven't figured out how to make it actually show up.)

I just chose "sibling" to mean generic family, since it's all one herd. I don't believe horses have any particular hangups about inbreeding.

The armor and fighting style assignments look fine to me.

Alright, so Halifa gets the fanciest bridle because mage + head mare, Thunder gets second best because leader, Moonbeam and Sunshine get alright-ish ones, and Shahira and Buck either get none or get simple ones because they are the youngest ones (I think? IIRC Buck has the YoungEager voice, for example).

I'll look into that if I have the time for it but I can't promise anything.

I mean, I guess they don't have hangups, lol. And well, I may try my hand at adding relationships between them (which seem to be missing right now?) and cleaning up the player ones so there's no association type and they are just considered friends/allies, in case some mod out there does check for it. Or maybe not, I'll have to see.

Alright. Other than the kind of armor they wear, I've also changed what specific items they wear to using leveled lists so they are level-appropriate and also don't get OP gear early one (like the one Scaled set one of them had, or Moonbeam's Blades set which also wasn't very Redguard-y).

Yeah, that's what I had in mind.

Alright, it might be something entirely on my end, but has anyone else had issues with the sheathing schlongs since updating to 1.0?

Even on a clean save, it'll work fine on stages 1-3. But as soon as it hits the fully erect stage, it'll rapidly swap back and forth between that and the fully unaroused mesh. I forced some of Bad Dog's other sheathing schlongs onto the character and they work fine, it's only the Horse schlong that's doing it.

Loading the previous version of the Horses SOS I was using (0.5) fixes the issue. So it has to be something that was updated between the two. I also tried deleting the BDSOS scripts and the SchlongCore.esm included with it so it would use the ones from Yiffy Age (which is up to date) and that didn't fix it either. So I can only assume something in the ESP is broken, but I wouldn't even know what to look for if I loaded it up in xEdit.

You're trying to continue with the same save, right? Could be issues with old scripts. Do a clean install of the schlongs (remove from SOS, remove from load order, load, wait, save, clean save, load, wait, save, put back in load order, load, should be okay).

No, actually, this was starting with a brand new save.

Just to be absolutely sure, I even loaded into qasmoke from the main menu, didn't bother touching or setting up anything else, just selected a Horse, activated SOS integration in SLA, then manually set arousal to >90 and the effect is immediate.

I admittedly have like 200 mods installed, so conflicts aren't out of the question, but everything was peachy until I installed 1.0, and it's only the Horse schlong that is affected. If I roll the SOS addon back to 0.5 (and only the addon, leaving all the other components at 1.0) the issue disappears, so obviously something about the changes made between the two versions is the culprit.

I love this mod so much, with animated feathery wings and flying mod in addition, I was able to create a badass "Nightmare" Pegasus.

Nice! Whose wings are those?

From Animated Feathered wings, addon to Animated dragon wings. I use Flying Mod instead of Real Flying, for some reason I cannot for the life of me get Real Flying to work, and I've installed everything required.

For some reason when I close Skyrim and log back on, the tail recolored to white. So instead of having to manually change it back every time I log on I changed the color of my character to white, and named him Captain 'Pegasus' Tydes.
